Three… Two…. Maverick instantly felt a sudden rush of power flowing in his body, making him feel so good and strong as if he had just gained superpowers. However, before he could truly savour the amazing strength cursing through his body, the time for action came… One… The instant in which this voice rang out, the darkness faded from Mavericks eyes, and he finally opened his eyes in the real world. At the same time, the three disorderly men who were frozen under the time freezing all regained their mobility and continued moving as if nothing was wrong because they totally failed to noticed that the time was frozen before. Just as the disorderly man continued to stab his sickle at Maverick, Maverick, who looked weak and helpless and was impaled into the wall by two knifes, suddenly roared and pushed his body with all his strength. The disorderly man smirked seeing that Maverick began to struggle, he thought that it was totally impossible for Maverick to break free, to him this was only the last ditch attempt at struggling for his life which was of course futile. But, how wrong could he be when Maverick exploded with an unexpected power that enabled him to drive the two knives impaled on his hand out of the wall, thereby freeing his body from the wall. The disorderly man was absolutely started by this unexpected occurrence. His body trembled as he staggered, missing a step and nearly falling. The sickle in his hand changed direction and stabbed toward the ground instead of toward Maverick. At the same time, Maverick landed on the floor of the house with a small thud and quickly punched towards the face of the disorientated disorderly man in front of him without thinking. The only thought in his mind was to find the fastest and easiest way to escape. The disorderly man who had lost his balance didn't have the time to react to Mavericks punch. He could only watch helplessly as the fist landed on his face, sending him sprawling into the ground "Bang!" A rumbling sound echoed in the room as the first disorderly man fell toward the ground. The other disorderly men who were behind him all staggered and paused their advance because their comrade had landed right in front of their path ahead. Shock filled them as they both gazed at the first disorderly man and Maverick with a disbelieving look. Mavericks comeback was too strange and unexpected even for them who were some distance away. They saw everything clearly after all. After punching the disorderly man in the front and successfully delaying the other two disorderly man behind him, Maverick didn't give the others the time to react as he quickly punched into the glass of the nearest window before jumping out of the house. "Sebastian, are you ok? How the hell did you get punched by that trash?" One of the disorderly men said as he held out the disorderly man that Maverick sent sprawling into the ground " Danny, are you making fun of me, didn't you see that that brat has some kind of special treasure on him, lets quickly go after him before we lose him" Sebastian said in order to hide away his embarrassment. The other two disorderly men, Danny and Dawn, both became serious when they heard Sebastian's words. Despite wanting to make more fun of Sebastian, they know that they couldn't afford to do that at the moment. Maybe they'll do that after taking care of the trash first. They couldn't allow the trash to escape. Otherwise, they'll be punished severely by the district lord for sure. Heck, they might even lose their lives. "Let's go after him," Dawn shouted as he rushed out of the house from the door, Danny and Sebastian quickly followed. After jumping out of the house, Maverick didn't even pause for a second as he took off, running into the quiet street and brainstorming very hard about how he was going to totally escape. As he ran, Maverick's surroundings were a blur. He realized that he was moving so fast like he'd never expected. It was only at this moment that he finally felt the changes in his body and realized the depth of his amazing strength. Though, even with this amazing strength, Maverick didn't have the thought of fighting and killing those three disorderly men, the reason was because he was uncertain whether he will be able to do it with this level of strength. "Get back here, you trash!" While he was running, Maverick overheard the voice of one of the disorderly men who was chasing from behind, causing him to become more anxious. Maverick knew that his strength was only temporary, it will only last for three minutes. However, one minute had already passed, but he needed to escape from these men before the last two minutes passed by. As he thought about this, Maverick surveyed his surrounding as he ran, looking for any kind of place were he could seek refuge in but he couldn't find any, all the doors were shot and even if they weren't, no one can save him from these evolvers. Being so desperate and out of time, Maverick decided to head straight for the cliff, which was located right behind the settlement. Since he had no way to hide and couldn't retain his speed and strength till the disorderly men loose track of him, Mavericks best shot at survival was to jump off the cliff. Maverick was making a gamble, If he jumped of the cliff, he might die, but there's also a chance that he would only end up being severely injured however, if he doesn't, then he'll face certain death at the hands of the three disorderly men when his temporary power runs out. "What the hell is he doing!" One of the three disorderly men, Danny blurted when he saw the route that Maverick took. "What the hell is wrong with that brat, he’s heading for the cliff. Is he so desperate to die!" Sebastian exclaimed. "Let's hurry up and go after him before he gets to the cliff!" Dawn blurted as he put more effort into sprinting. The three disorderly men did their best to catch up to Maverick before he got to the cliff. However, they still failed because one minute after, Maverick reached the cliff and jumped down without hesitation. The three disorderly men quickly stopped in their tracks when they reached the cliff, they didn't dare to follow Maverick down because although they were Evolvers with super strength and speed, they weren’t sure they’ll survive from jumping down the cliff. "The valley is so deep, I can't even see a thing, there's no way that that piece of trash will survive after jumping from the cliff, I think our mission is over, too bad I didn't get to kill him with my own hands" Danny exclaimed as he gazed below the cliff. "Don't be so over dramatic, you and I know that we aren't letting this matter rest, it doesn't matter if that kid died from the fall or not, we must get our hands on that treasure he has" Sebastian said. "Come on, let's find a slope that will take us down." Dawn, who was always eager for action, said as he started moving. Meanwhile, under the cliff, after tumbling and slamming into one hard surface after another, Maverick finally reached the depth of the valley. His whole surroundings were covered in dense mist, and he could barely see anything. However, he didn't have time to care about that right now. His whole body was covered with bruises and injuries from which blood flew out. Maverick tried to get up only to realize that he had broken dozens of his bones and couldn't get up from the ground. Apart from this, he had numerous internal injuries from his stomach and his muscles. Upon realizing the current state of his body, Maverick couldn't help but sigh depressingly. Although his gamble paid off and he survived the fall, he wasn't far off from death. "Is this it? Is this the worlds way of prolonging my life?, what fucking system! Are you fucking kidding me!, did you help me survive just so I can die later, what do you gain by doing this!!" Maverick exclaimed self depressingly. [ Mission accomplished, for successfully completing the first mission, Host will be rewarded with an epic level healing potion, epic level energy potion and Host's first system ability] Just as he finished cursing, a familiar mechanical voice suddenly rang out in Maverick’s head and a blue screen appeared above his face.
