"Great, I shall take my leave," Sherlock said as he accepted the ring, then flicked his sleeve and turned around before leaving the house without looking back. Whatever was going to happen inside the house was not his business anymore. As soon as Sherlock left, Ashley turned to her boyfriend who was the handsome young man beside her and said, " Kevin, it looks like everything is taken care of, let's get out of here and go and have some fun, well leave the boys to take care of that trash" "That's a great Idea, I have gotten bored just looking at the glum look on his face," Kevin said as he held Ashely's hand and left the building together with her. Maverick was silent at this moment. After seeing Ashely kissing Kevin, he no longer spoke any word because that would only invite more humiliation. Maverick at this moment, had already lost the will to live, he had already lost everything that matters to him and he know that he had no strength to get revenge, he just closed his eyes and accepted his fate. However, a very deep part of him was telling him not to give up on life, telling him to survive and get revenge, to not accept this fate but what could he do, he has no strength to fight back against a group of Evolvers. "I hate this, I refuse to accept this. They killed my parents and took my sister away. Why am I so week that I can't fight back at all. I wish I had the strength to take revenge!!" Maverick let out an unwilling roar in his heart just as the sickle was about to stab into his abdomen. Just like his wish was answered. The instant in which the sickle touched his skin, a golden beam suddenly came out of Maverick's head and covered his whole body. "Clang!" A metallic sound resonated as the sickle collided with the golden beam. The disorderly man who held the sickle trembled and took some steps backward with an incredulous expression. "what the fuck just happened!" He exclaimed as he stared at Maverick as if he were a freak. "looks like the piece of trash has some kind of good treasure on him, quickly kill him so we can share the treasure!" one of the disorderly man shouted from behind and started rushing over. Upon hearing these words, the disorderly man in front of Maverick once again stabbed the sickle at Maverick as soon as possible, he wanted to kill Maverick before his colleague arrives to share the treasure with him. However, just as he stabbed the sickle once more, something strange happened. A transparent ripple suddenly spread out of Maverick's body and into the surrounding of the whole living room. Where ever the ripple passed, time seemed to freeze up. Just like that, Maverick himself and the three disorderly men who all madly wanted to kill him as soon as possible and steal the treasure they assumed was on him were all froze up in this time freezing ripple. As soon as his body froze, Mavericks vision totally went dark and a light screen mysteriously appeared in front of him. On the light screen, some words appeared written that read… [Dear Host, do you want to attain the strength to administer revenge and kill all your enemies?] [ Make your choice now, choose Yes or No] For a whole minute Maverick stared at the screen without choosing anything, he was totally confused as to what was going on. One minute he was about to die a painful and unwilling death and the next minute everything went dark and he is now facing a strange light screen. As he stared at the light screen, countless thoughts came towards Maverick's mind as he tries to ascertain what was going on but even after thinking for minutes he seemed to find no answer. Although he had no answer to what was going on, Maverick finally decided to make a choice which was of course the 'Yes' option. he wanted to get revenge for what happened to his parents no matter the cost, in front of this goal, nothing else mattered anymore. It didn't matter if he was hallucinating right now, or if he was making a deal with the devil, revenge was his strongest purpose. The instant in which Maverick chose the option 'yes' on the light screen, the wording on the light screen suddenly changed.
