Sett didn’t know if he could endure this level of humiliation anymore. He knew that it was hopeless to fight Antonio, who was an amateur boxing champion and was once a representative from their senior high days. Sett doesn’t have a chance to win a fight against a guy like him.

"I’ll be waiting inside, Fatso. Oh, and don't you dare make Lucy and the others wait. Otherwise, I'll break your leg." Antonio eyed Sett dangerously. "Let's go, Anna."

Sett struggled to get up while holding the ticket. This was the reason why he didn't want to get involved with his senior high school classmates anymore.

Moments later, he was standing in front of the reserved room that was listed on the card he got from Antonio. He could already hear his classmate celebrating inside. He pulled all his courage together as he opened the room's door.

"Oi, oi, look who we have here; it's Fatso Sett! What are you standing there for? Hurry up and have a seat." A lanky man chuckles.

Sett's attention was immediately drawn to a gorgeous short-haired girl playing with the glass.

Lucy?

It's only been a year, but she has become more stunning and radiant. Sett wondered if she was still single.

He wanted to take the seat next to Lucy as she was the one who invited him, but there was a bag in that seat so he immediately dismissed such thoughts and decided to take a seat beside a tan-looking lady who was polishing her nails. He couldn't quite recognize who she was, but he was sure she was one of his classmates.

"Ew, go away, fatso, that seat is reserved for my boyfriend!" She slapped Sett on the shoulder as she snorted.

"Don't sit in the middle, you'll occupy more space! Go sit at a separate table you fat turd!"

“Damn it!” Sett murmured under his breath.

Feeling frustrated after being insulted, all he could do was to follow their demands, wishing he hadn't come here in the first place.

"By the way, Lucy, I heard you got into a prestigious college." Antonio beamed as he said that.

"Is that a question, Antonio? Of course our school president would get into that kind of college! and also, aren’t you going to one as well? Everyone knows that you also graduated with high honors during our senior year." The tan girl rolled her eyes at Antonio.

Suddenly, she recalled something as she glanced at the fatty Sett, who was silently looking at his phone in the far corner. A playful smirk emerges on her face. "Hey, fatso, what prestigious university are you aiming for?"

Sett ignored the question, as their conversation was already hurting his self-esteem.

"Oh, I'm sorry you aren't going to college since your family is now poor." The tan girl snickered.

The topic was belittling his parents, making Sett's face turn pale.

"Hey, he isn't as useless as you think. You guys may not know this, but fatty Sett hit the jackpot. Now everyone is envious of him....." Lucy said mysteriously, causing everyone to pay attention to her.

"Stop making everyone guess Lucy, just spit it out. I want to know what kind of jackpot it is!" Antonio blurted out impatiently.

"Alright, so this is what happened. Fatty Sett married the Laurel Family's third miss!" Lucy replied, as her eyes shone.

Upon hearing that, everyone gasped in surprise.

"What?! Do you mean Sheila Laurel? The newbie superstar actress who everyone loves? I saw her on television yesterday, and she was offered a million-dollar contract by a famous director..." Anna's eyes widened as she paused for a moment before staring in disbelief at Sett.

"Are you kidding me? You mean that this idiotic fat guy is the husband of a famous celebrity? Not to mention, Sheila Laurel? You’ve got to be joking!"

At this moment, Antonio's eyes burned with jealousy. He couldn't accept the fact that fatty Sett, whom he had always bullied in school, would become a son-in-law of the Laurel family! A family that no one even dares to provoke, as they held even the Darian City's officials and politicians between their fingertips!

Tsk! He clicked his tongue. It was very hard for him to swallow the fact that this timid fatty had climbed a higher status than him!

Because of Antonio’s irritation, he was about to grab Sett's collar when suddenly, he heard Lucy giggling.

"But there's a catch in their relationship. Recently, the Laurel family declared that they wouldn't acknowledge the marriage between the two families, because, and I quote; “Sett Crossword is "too incompetent."

She let out a sigh before glancing at Sett in the corner of her eyes, but when she noticed there wasn't any change in Sett's expression, she was disappointed. "... enough of that issue. We should all eat first. After all, we are here to celebrate our class reunion. "

"You're right, Lucy, hey, fatso Sett, we already ordered our own meal; you should order your own, and since you're the Laurel Family son-in-law, you should foot the bill as well!" Antonio chortled, without the slightest change in his expression.

Sett was speechless. After all, he only came to this hellish reunion to borrow some money from them. Now they suddenly want him to pay the bill?

"I-I don't have any cash right now..." Sett's face turned bright red, feeling ashamed.

“Pfft! You’re joking right? You're telling me the son-in-law of the Laurel family, not to mention, the young master of the Crossword Family, couldn't even afford to treat his own classmates? You’ve got to be sh*tting me!" Antonio cracked up, and he couldn't hold it anymore for he held his stomach in laughter. The truth was that everyone already knew that Sett was exiled from the Crossword family and that his identity as the son-in-law of the Laurel family had already been compromised.

Having enough of the insults, Sett stood up and swiped his eyes at everyone's faces. His fist trembled as he felt like bashing their skulls on the table, especially Antonio Paul.

As Sett grabbed the doorknob, with no intention of turning back.

"Lucy, thank you for the invitation, but I've got to go." Sett immediately leaves without waiting for her reply.

"That fatso is just embarrassed to admit he couldn't order his own food. Serves him right. Does he really think he can have a free meal using our money? He should just starve to death for all I care!" Antonio sneered as if he did the right thing.

He then turned his attention to Lucy, who was giggling to herself. "By the way Lucy, why did you even invite that fatso in the first place?"

He was curious about her real reason, but everyone already knew why. Normally Lucy wouldn't do such a thing. But it was all for the sake of her reputation, and maintaining her public image as a “Kind Angel”.

"I thought it would be nice to welcome a clown to the party, right?" Lucy giggled while everyone burst into laughter. "That's too cruel Lucy. But seriously, I'm glad that he left though, and you guys should also be glad. If he stayed here any longer, the place would smell like garlic and vinegar!" Upon hearing that, everyone bursts into another laughing spree while holding their stomachs, as they couldn't take any more “Fatty Sett jokes”. However, on the other side of the door. Sett was still standing there, listening to their whole conversation. "I thought you weren’t like the rest of them, Lucy." Sett let out a heavy sigh of disappointment. “I guess I was wrong.” he added as he started to walk towards the exit. Lucy was a female friend of his in senior high. She had always defended him against Antonio and the others who were bullying him. But little did Sett know, that unfortunately, people change. "Umm, I don’t want to be rude but, there must have been some kind of mistake, Ms. Scarlett. My name isn't Mr. Crow. My name is Sett Crossword. I came from the Crossword family of Darian City. I don't know anything about the Crow family, so can you please let me go?" Sett blurted out nervously. As much as he wished to spend more time with Ms. Scarlett, he had to leave, in fear of what this group of strangers would do to him?"Don't be nervous, Mr. Crow. Rest assured, we aren't a hostile group. I was sent by the Crow family to be your aid.""Then there must be some kind of misunderstanding. Why do you keep insisting that I'm Mr. Crow? " Sett smiled warily. "Because you are." Scarlett confidently said. The look on her face implied that she was absolutely certain of it. Sett's mouth twitched. Was this lady toying with him? They should have investigated him first before jumping to conclusions that he is the so-called "Mr. Crow" or something. He took a deep breath as it was already past

At this time, Ms. Scarlett handed the camera directly to Sett's palm. As he turned on the video recording, his mind was filled with confusion as he saw a white-bearded man gradually stripping his tuxedo with his bare hands, revealing his extremely macular back which was identical to an ancient Greek titan named Atlas! Sett raised his brows. Why the h*ck is this guy stripping? "He is your grandfather, Mark Crow." Ms. Scarlett stated calmly. "Wait, that's him?! I thought he was old?” Sett surprisingly said. Ms. Scarlett slightly raised the edge of her lips. "Indeed, the president is old. I think he was eighty years old when this video was taken." "What?!" Sett was awestruck. Is that even the physique of a fre*cking eighty-year-old man? Wouldn't that put other bodybuilders to shame? His grandpa could even win the Mr. Olympia award! But what concerns him the most, was they do have undeniably similar faces. Just then, Sett noticed a birthmark on the back of his grandfather, which was

"What?!" Sett's face was imprinted with horror as he heard his sister's frantic screams along with the sound of something breaking and men shouting in the background. Damn it! Sett cursed as he clenched his jaw in anger. They better pray that his sister and the others are alright! He already knew who the masterminds behind this. It’s none other than his aunt and uncle. He always hated them to the core, as they were quite sadistic. The Crossword main household had already confiscated all of his parents' properties, and the only thing they had left was an old, dilapidated mansion. Nonetheless, they keep forcing them to sell the old mansion! They were just too much. Sett let out a breath along with a worried expression on his face. "Ms. Scarlett, ask your men to hurry up! I'm worried that something bad may happen to my sister. I won't be able to forgive myself." Ms. Scarlett nodded to assure Sett as she commanded the driver to pick up speed. "It looks like you're not getting the message, are you? And to top it off, you’re actually using a second-rate family name to threaten me. I gotta say, you guys are either loyal to that second-rate family you speak of, or you’re extremely stupid.” Ms. Scarlet let out a small sigh. “Let me make something clear; if I wanted to, I could order my men to wipe out the entire Crossword family. Heck, I could even make it like that family never even existed in the first place. But, lucky for you, I don't want to. You see, in the future, using that family as a stepping stone for Mr. Crow is a much needed variable in helping Mr. Crow." Cro

In Sett's excitement, he started examining the other notebooks and cards inside the suitcase. To his surprise, he found a driver's license! He didn't stop there, as he started examining the other cards, and that's when he became speechless. 'How should I say this? This is too much.' Sett reflected as he examined the important cards in his hand, which included a military card with the large word "Arm-force of the United States" and others from various countries. If he could spell it in one phrase, then that would be "amazing!"Sett decided to ask Grandpa Mark about how he made these essential cards. But why is there no debit card or credit card? Her eagerness was as if she was a child, trying to share something she just knew to her parents.“So how much do you currently know about it?” Jessica meticulously asked before sharing everything she knew to Sett.Sett was a little bit surprised and curious about how much she actually knew about. Intrigued with whatever information that she could give, he decided to lay down a brief and still non-detailed outline of everything he knew, still leaving some parts hidden for Azula’s sake.As Sett finished the information dropping, Jessica gave her a skeptical look. “Oh, my apologies Sett! I must have been hit by the memories of old a little too strongly.” Azula said as she wiped the tears off her face. However, Sett wasn’t convinced by such reasons. Sure, you could cry when you’re hit with nostalgia, but that is out of a joyful, euphoric feeling that overwhelms you to the brink of crying. But in Azula’s case, Sett noticed that her tears weren’t a product of such positive feelings. In fact it was the total opposite. Sett sensed that, the moment he saw her eyes devoid of life. An imperfect match for her ocean blue eyes, that seemed so full of life. He thought that whatever was bothering her, seemed like a burden that was still weighing down his Aunt, even until now.“Are you sure you’re alright Aunty?” Sett asks, deeply in concern for what Azula is feeling.Azula just looked at Sett with heavy laden eyes. She took out a very old, hard-bound book from the top shelf. The dust that it accumulated is the indication of how long that book was left untouched.“This book holds everything that you want to know if you wish to learn more about our family’s history.” Azula stated as she gently blew on the book, revealing its true worn-out, rustic black cover.Upon further inspection, there was an embedded mark on one side of the book covers. While Roman was still on the floor, wiping the blood off his nose. He scoffs, then proceeds to laugh in amusement, acknowledging the fact that Sett caught him off guard. Roman somehow considered it as an entertaining happenstance, that Sett found a small window of opportunity, and took it to give him a cheap shot like that.“That was very clever. Still a cheap shot, but it was clever.” Roman said as he stood up from the floor and fixed his now wrinkled button down shirt. “However, I’m not in the mood to fight you anymore. So stop cock-blocking me, and get the hell away from Azula.” He added with an irritated voice.“Make me.” Sett provokingly responded.Roman’s blood started to boil after hearing Sett’s remarks. At that moment, he thought that it would be an easy win to get past Sett since he didn’t possess that much threat. But what concerned him was how Azula would react right after.
