The Rude Receptionist 2

The harsh judgments from the receptionist were undoubtedly bad and Darren felt quite offended. Whereas, the hotel was something he could afford to buy with just a phone call. Despite it being a huge hotel he chose to maintain his dignity.

"What did you just say?" He asked, after regaining his thought back.

A snarled scowl appeared on her face as she scoffed. "Yes, you heard me right, how can a trash person with an appearance like this decide to book a room at a seven-star hotel like this, or didn't you read the sign board outside before entering the hotel with your worthless legs." Her eyes were fixed on his leg as she spoke.

"My clothes?" He questioned, of course, his clothes were not cheap but expensive so what is she saying?

" Yes, the outfits you are wearing aren't fit for a customer of his hotel. You have to dress as someone worthy, if not how would you be able to pay for an expensive room here."

Darren wanted to argue and tell her that his clothes ain't cheap, as she claims, but then suddenly reasoned that the receptionist's behavior might be due to her inability to recognize the true value of his outfit. The clothes he's wearing might be expensive, rare, and stylish, but they are not immediately recognizable as high-end fashion. He feels frustrated by not being able to prove to them.

"Mister man, you are wasting my time here, so please leave." She said, curtly.

Darren gave her a disapproving frown, although he wasn't able to make her understand the worth of his outfit, he sure won't be leaving the hotel without booking a room.

"Even if my clothes don't look worthless like you claimed, I won't be leaving without getting a room." He stood his ground, with a cold expression on his face.

Seeing this cold and stubborn attitude of Darren, the receptionist felt completely pissed off and shouted. "You this trash, why are you so bent on not leaving? As I said earlier, people of your type are not accepted in this hotel, you should just go to a lesser hotel that will accept your thoughts of a person."

Everyone standing laughed upon hearing that, they all felt truly that Darren shouldn't be given a room here, based on this appearance.

Despite a doubtful and disdainful look that shows he won't be able to afford a room here, Darren was still looking unaffected.

Seeing the unfuse look on Darren upon all her insult and ridicule, the receptionist decides to call for security to remove Darren from the premises.

She picked her phone up and gave a call toRityy and soon, about four men walked in.

"Throw him out!" She shouted and the guards stepped forward to Darren.

However, just as security was about to drag him out, a loud yet soft voice echoed through the hall. "What's happening here!"

Everyone turned to the voice and saw a middle-aged woman arrive on the scene.

When she heard no reply, she repeated her question, but this time a little louder.

"I said what's happening here?"

Hearing the question for the second time, the receptionist quickly spoke. "Ma'am it's this man who came to book a room here.", She pointed her hand at Darren as she started recounting the entire incident, adding part of the truth with lies to justify her actions.

Without being given a chance to talk first, Darren quietly stood, listening to all the lies the receptionist fabricated. He was even more shocked seeing that none of those standing stood up for him when the receptionist was lying.

With his gaze on them, he could see that their expression looked delighted about what the receptionist was telling the manager.

He folded his arms around his shoulder calmly, as he waited for her to be done, immediately she was done with telling all the lies, Darren quickly opened his mouth to speak.

He feels the manager won't be partial not to listen to his side of the story after listening to the receptionist so he opened his mouth. Just as he was about to speak, he got immediately interrupted.

"Is he the worthless person you're talking about?" She asked the receptionist as she gave a more disgusting look at Darren.

The receptionist smiled seeing the look given to Darren, so she replied looking delighted. "Yes, he's the trash, I'm talking about."

Darren's face fell instantly hearing the interaction between the manager and the receptionist. He had thought highly of the manager before but now, he felt utterly disgusted by the ways of handling things. Wasn't she supposed to ask his side of the story?

His mind was filled with thought as he saw the ridiculous and disdainful look from the manager.

"Oh, so he's the one." The manager takes a moment to assess the appearance of Darren. She lowers her head, studying his appearance more closely. As she gazes at his clothes, her expression changes, and she appears to become even more disapproving.

"How on earth will someone of your status come here to disturb the peace of this hotel? Oh! I get it. You have stolen your master's money and probably finding where to hide. You have heard a lot about the tightened security of this place? Hell no! I won't allow riffraff like you to ruin the good talk of this place" she roared.

Darren was more than heartbroken hearing those words from her. Even when he didn't have money, stealing has never been part of him.

"Hey! I think you have mistaken something. Stealing isn't part of me and …" he was still defending himself when the manager cut him off.

"Will you keep your dirty and rotten mouth shut? Oh, I've heard about people like you and I won't allow you to go scot-free" she uttered.

"Instead of throwing you out, I would tell them to beat you to a stupor, so that you would know your class and standard when next you wanna find where to keep your ugly face" she added proudly which made Darren dumbfounded.
