Matilda stared at Mia for a second, trying to process what her best friend had just said about the Erasmus man....

"You know saying such a thing without evidence against a man of such nature is very dangerous right?" She lowered her voice, trying to allow no one else here their conversation.

"Look, the rumours in this city are always true and if what they say about Erasmus being a rapist is real, then I think I would be justified." Matilda was about to say something, but a sudden uproar behind them had cut her shut.

They both watched as a man engaged his partner in a heated argument, before eventually pouring a milkshake on his head. Matilda felt pity for the innocent woman and even though Mia warned her not to move from her seat, she felt the urge to go console her.

While taking a seat beside the woman, Matilda was about to speak her first word, when she felt her phone buzz through her purse. She excused herself and pulled out the phone to see what was happening.
