Chapter 32

The loud whirl of the fan was the first thing that she heard before she felt something vibrate on her king sized bed. Without opening her eyes, she began to use her left hand to search frantically for her phone, which was obviously the cause of the disturbance. The vibration stopped immediately her hand found the phone under the heap of clothes that she had dropped on the bed earlier. Struggling to open her eyes, she peeped to check the caller ID and let out a loud groan. Not wanting to be disturbed again, she tried to switch off her phone, still half asleep. Her phone resumed vibrating again, and the shock of it caused her to pick.

“Matilda Anna Montez, how many times have I told you to call me as soon as you are off the plane? Tell me how many times?”

Matilda groaned inwardly, stretching the phone away from her ears as her mother's voice boomed loudly through the phone. It was only her mother that took delight in calling her by her full name, the whole thing and she mostly call
