Chapter 3

Even Doctor Sam's legs livered. He was already grateful that he had not treated Leonard badly. Cause for someone like President Raymond to be kneeling before him meant that he was a powerful force to be reversed.

President Raymond was a presidential candidate, going against him could only mean that you were going against the presidency.

Coupled with the fact that he has a 50 percent acceptance rate already. Cold sweat broke out from the doctor's face. Counting from tens to a million drops.

But the only thing that Leonard could see was another political force and nothing more. He had never seen that face before.

Seeing the looks that he had aboard, Raymond waved his hands, sending the doctor out of the room.

"Young master, we have searched for you all over the city and we never thought that we were going to find you." He said.

His words welling up to Leonard like a strange language. "Young master? He was nothing other than a nobody." He blotted in between his gap teeth.

"President Raymond. I appreciate your kind gesture but I think that you are making a mistake.

Thanks for what you did to my sister, I will make it up to you as soon as I can." He replied adamantly.

The president let out a deep sigh afterward. He knew that this task wasn't going to be easy but he was able to force through.

"Young Master. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I'm your grandfather's right-hand man." He replied.

Leonard's brain forced a sudden click. The runs, the sweat, all seemed to be a movie that was placed before him now.

He lost both of his parents due to that man whom he called a grandfather. There he didn't want anything to do with him.

Three years ago, he had cut ties, swearing that he was not going to do anything with the demon in human clothing.

"I don't have a grandfather. He died three years ago." He responded, putting an end to the conversation.

He wanted to leave on the spot. The only thing that he saw himself doing was finding a way to get the money and pay it back, he didn't want his help.

"I know you are still angry young master but your grandfather is genuinely sorry after everything that he did.

He wants you back. And not just as Leonard, to take over his business empire."

Leonard scoffed. He could stand anyone on the surface of the planet apart from that old man. This was his last stray.

With hands filled with anger and a face as red as a tomato, flushed with the hatred and irritation that had brewed from within, he made a swift turn towards the president and sent.

"He chased me away from the family. He is the cause of my parent's death and he wants me back? Go back to him and tell him, "I would rather rot in the street and come back." He replied.

They had already talked about this beforehand, it was going to be difficult to win him over after all. He needed quite a while to think about this.

"We know that you need time to think about this Leonard." He brought out a card from his pocket and stretched it forward.

"You can have this." He said.

Leonard stared at the hand that was stretched and he paired back to the person that was stretching the hands.

A frown collided with his mixed emotions of irritation. He would never accept a bribe from a demon.

His brows furrowed and he went ahead to say.

"Are you trying to bribe me?" He said.

"No. We won't dare young master. Just consider this as a gift from us." He replied quickly.

"Besides, your father also left a lot of fortune. Even though you aren't going to come back as a young master, you should return to take over your father's company as the president.

Your sister still needs a lot of money to be paid for her treatment. There is no way that you will be able to afford it within such a short period of time." He said.

Even though Leonard was annoyed, he could already see the truth in what he was saying.  Besides, they were technically his since they were taken away from his father.

He took the card away from President Raymond. And forged ahead.

"The Rock City group has already been gotten back since it rightfully belongs to your Father. And the doctor has already been prepared to have your name, you only need to sign the documents." He replied.

With this piece of information, he left. Leonard was beyond the moon. First, he paid off his sister's debt, making sure that he was given the best treatment ever.

Still wandering in the streets, he knew that he would need to get somewhere to stay for the time being while he settled into everything.

I made my way toward Gerund Real Estate, one of the best that the company could offer. Then, he met with an ugly sight. A young lady was being tossed to and fro by a man who seemed to be the manager there from the barge that he was putting on.

"You scumbag." The manager was accusing her of having committed an offense. Anyone else would have taken the situation as any other than have occurred in a business world but then, he caught sight of a peculiar sight.

The manager was running his hands through the cleavage of the lady.  It was obvious that he was a pervert, taking advantage of the situation.

Leonard frowned and let out a shout that could be equal to the roar of a lion, echoing through the four walls of the hall and making everyone make a turn in his direction.

Get your hands off her, you flirt." He thundered, making bubble waves to run through the hall.

"Who was talking to the manager in such a manner?"

"And who are you?" Manager Erasmus inquired.

Meanwhile, Ruth and Matilda sat down at a round table, discussing calmly. He went ahead to say.

"Our company is running bankrupt Matilda." They said but she was hardly listening. Her voice trailed. Ever since Leonard left she could feel a strange sense of emptiness between her.

She never thought that she was going to miss him. But after looking up to him for quite a while, not seeing him anymore was enough to create a mole in her heart.

"Are you even listening to me, Mati?" Ruth tapped her slightly, snapping her off from her thoughts.

"Yeah, I am fine." Jerked I. Respond.

"You are thinking about that punk? You should forget about him already. See this as a door that has been opened to us and we have to use it wisely." She said,

But Mati was confused, as to how she was going to be of great help to the family in either case.

Her mother smiled, as though she could read the thoughts that were railed off in her hand. "Don't worry, I have a plan and I am going to tell you everything about it." She said,

"We were able to get a ticket for the party. Bribing out our way through the money that we got from that stinker.

We are just to act as a subordinate. And the rest of what happens would be left in your court." She went further to say.

He was confused. "Left in my court? I don't understand." She replied, with a sense of confusion all washed up over her.

Her mother quickly pulled out Mati to herself and said. "Over the years, our family has only brewed beautiful women that cannot be reckoned with.

That was how I got your father when his business was still running and I was able to help the family. You will have to do the same Mati, you are the savior of the family.

And don't worry as the main force to be reckoned with, we are going to make you the patron of the family." She smiled.

Mati's brows farrowed.

"So you should want me to seduce the new owner of the Rock City Legion Group so that he would be able to bend to your will?" A brow was still raised.

"I knew that I gave birth to the most brilliant girl that the world has ever seen?" Mrs. Ruth quickly smiled.
