Chapter 2: Final Ultimatum

On the top floor of the Willingness building, a man sat behind his desk and his face was dark and gloomy

There were shards of expensive glass on the ground, red wine flowed gracefully beneath the broken glass.

It looked like a pool of blood, resembling a painful and ugly wound.

The secretary couldn't help but feel scared, but she was also a little curious about the one called Arthur Smith.

President Will smashed his favorite glass after hearing the name

With a cold expression, Will looked up at her and ordered.

"Clean up the ground, then inform the board of directors that Arthur Smith has returned."

The secretary almost flinched as Will spoke.

Then she quickly replied.

"Yes, sir"

Almost as soon as she left, Will picked up his phone and dialed a number he hadn't contacted for a long time.

Once connected, Will immediately shouted.

"What the hell you did? Why is Arthur still alive?

He should have been rotting in that ridiculous prison on the island! You fool!"

Actually Will seemed to have begun to forget the name, Arthur Smith, as he thought that Arthur had been killed by the people he arranged in the prison two years ago.

But today, Arthur appeared again, blood and flesh, so Will was so furious that he wanted to kill these worthless people immediately.

The person on the other end seemed surprised about it.

He remained silent for a while before hesitantly speaking.

"At that time, we've searched everywhere in the prison but couldn't find him.So we thought he died before..."

"So you're telling me the mission was completed?! A bunch of worthless scum!"

Will shouted and threw his phone aside, which hit the wall and turned to be broken.

Will slammed his hands on the desk, his eyes turning bloodshot as if a demon had crawled out of hell.

For him, Arthur was indeed like a demon, attempting to take everything away from him.

From his young age, he had always lived under Arthur's shadow in academics, business, or anything else.

Arthur could simply study and excel in anything.

He was a genius, which only highlighted Will's foolishness.

When Arthur started his own company, Will thought that perhaps his days of suffering were over.

But no, Arthur's company quickly rose to prominence with his superior intelligence and keen investment acumen.

He built a large, powerful company that surpassed the Smith Group.

Out of the jealousy, he built a pitfall for Arthur at the wedding night.

Finally, Will thought his nightmare had ended because Arthur was arrested and should be dead in prison.

He never expected that one day Arthur would return.

At this moment, a knock on the door suddenly echoed. Will took a deep breath, trying to compose himself.

He picked up his phone and tossed it into the trash bin, then took his seat, putting on a fake cheerful smile.

"Come in."

The door opened, and Arthur entered.

Three years hadn't made him wither away but made him much more mature and charismatic instead.

His handsome face was enough to captivate all the girls.

Will quickly suppressed his jealousy, remaining a forced smile on his face.

"Arthur, it's my mistake. I forgot the day of releasing. I should have taken you home."

His face was filled with hypocritical smile, just like the emotion he had when he deceived Arthur into giving up his company shares in the jail.

Looking at his hypocritical face, Arthur noticed that his younger brother had indeed changed, becoming more repulsive.

Then let him expose the ugly disguise.

He casually sat across from Will, picked up the red wine on the table, and poured himself a glass.

"A 1982 Lafite, tastes not bad. It seems that Sun Rise is doing well. It might be able to hold on for a few more years."

His calm words sounded like stating facts, and his calm gaze deeply stung Will's twisted psyche, prompting him to immediately tear off his own mask that hadn't lasted for a minute.

Will stood up, hands resting on the table, staring fiercely at the person in front of him who kept him sleepless at night.

"Arthur, how dare you look down on me? You're just an orphan adopted by my parents. Three years ago, you committed crimes that brought shame to the Smith family and caused immense losses to the company. Why did you come back?"

Arthur gazed into his eyes, smiled.

"Why can't I? After all, this company was founded by me. And as for the reason of being in the prison three years ago, I think you know it best, my dear brother. Wasn’t it all planned by you!"

Pausing for seconds, Arthur continued.

"If I weren't adopted and raised up by Smith family, would you be seated on the chair and talking to me right now?"

Will listened as Arthur calmly explained everything, and he was so shocked that he plopped back down in his chair.

“He has known everything”. That's what Will thought.

However, when he looked at their positions, thinking about their current status, he was no longer worried

He, Will, was now the CEO of Willingness, the young master of the Smith family.

As for Arthur, he was only nothing more than a notorious poor man.

Will calmed himself down, denied the accusation in Arthur's words just now.

"I don't know what nonsense you're talking about. It was you who raped the princess of the Gullweger at your wedding night."

At that moment, the sound of the door suddenly opening echoed. A group of people entered without bothering to knock.

They were members of the board of directors who had always supported Will's policies.

They gazed at Arthur, sneeringly saying.

"You just returned and immediately attempted to take back this company? You're not only ungrateful but also ignorant of your capabilities. Do you think you can compare to Mr. Will? I advise you to take a good look at yourself!"

Another person said, "That's right, who does he think he is? He's just a newly released criminal."

"Yes, his terrible reputation will influence the whole company. Mr. Will is more suitable for the position."

The crowd spoke in a clamor, all criticizing Arthur but showering Will with praise.

Will, on the sidelines, smiled at this scene. He looked at Arthur with a contemptuous smile and said.

"Have you seen it? No one welcomes your return. It would help if you had stayed rotting in prison and never appeared again. Even if you do something now, you can't defeat me!"

Arthur maintained an indifferent expression as he looked at them.

Although Will's words were annoying, Arthur's expression remained unchanged.

To him, Will was just a bug.

Who cares about what a bug is buzzing about? Just swat and kill it.

He slowly stood up, his towering height causing him to look down at them all, his gaze indifferent as if observing a group of ants.

He smiled and asked, "Are you finished?"

Will clenched his lips, a sense of frustration in his eyes. Why hadn't Arthur fallen into disgrace by now why? Why did he always have that contemptuous look and hold power over others? Will couldn't stand it!

Arthur didn't care about what Will was thinking. He repeated his words, "Arrange everything and return the company to me within 15 days. You won't want to know the consequences of not following my instructions."

Will felt a twinge of fear from Arthur, but upon hearing these words, he couldn't help but want to laugh.

He wanted to mock Arthur, but Arthur had already left without paying attention to them.

He didn't come here to negotiate or struggle with them.

He simply came to inform them, it's just a final ultimatum, but nothing more.
