Pain exploded through his head, causing him to weaken instantly.

His grip faltered, and Reginald collapsed to the ground, gasping for air.

Kai staggered, clutching his head.

Astrid stood there, breathing hard, a jagged piece of rock in her hand.

His own fiancée.

She had attacked him.

For him.

For the man who ruined his life.

Kai’s chest heaved as he stared at her.

Astrid met his gaze, her eyes filled with nothing but disgust.

"You’re a monster," she spat.

Kai’s hands trembled.

A monster.

That’s what she saw him as?

Not the man who loved her.

Not the man who sacrificed everything for her.

But a monster.

Reginald, still coughing, took the chance to scramble backward.

Then…

"GUARDS!" His hoarse voice rang out. "KILL HIM!"

The second car door that served as Reginald's security car burst open.

The bodyguards flooded out of it and rushed towards Kai.

Six men. Armed. Trained.

They descended on Kai all at once.

Kai barely had time to move before the first fist slammed into his ribs.

Then another.

A brutal kick sent him sprawling back.

He gritted his teeth, trying to push himself up, but a guard grabbed him by the collar and drove his knee into Kai’s gut.

Pain. Sharp. Searing.

Another guard pulled out a knife.

Kai’s vision swam.

This was it.

They were going to beat him to death.

Astrid watched, smiling.

Reginald wiped the blood from his lip and straightened his suit. "Pathetic. You thought you could stand up to me?" He scoffed. "Finish him off, I'll take care of his body."

The guard with the knife lunged.

The blade sliced down his body, making sharp painful slashes all over his body.

Kai’s world slowed.

Then…

BOOM.

A shockwave erupted from his body.

The guards went flying.

Like ragdolls, they slammed into the walls, the pavement, the cars.

A few groaned, struggling to move. Others were completely knocked out.

Astrid let out a horrified gasp.

Reginald stumbled backward.

Kai stood at the center of it all.

Unscathed.

His wounds began to close up, healing in an instant.

His vision sharpened, his body thrumming with raw, primal energy.

He flexed his fingers.

What… was this?

The wind howled around him.

The air was heavy. Thick with power.

Reginald's mouth hung open. "What... the hell..."

The guards, now conscious, staggered to their feet.

One look at Kai…and they ran.

Pure terror in their eyes.

They didn't fight. They didn't hesitate.

They fled.

Astrid’s confidence shattered.

She turned to Reginald, shaking. "W-What is he?"

Reginald didn’t answer.

He was already backing away.

Kai exhaled, releasing the last of his tension.

This was over.

The man he once was…the fool who loved her, the idiot who begged for her attention…died today.

He turned.

Astrid’s voice cracked. "Kai! Where the hell do you think you’re going?! We’re not done!"

He didn’t stop.

Didn’t acknowledge her.

She was nothing to him now.

A ghost of a past he wanted to erase.

With one final glance at the house that once held his future…

Kai walked away. Without looking back.

The moment his foot hit the street, a strong wind roared through the air.

Kai frowned. Something was coming.

Then he heard it.

The low, powerful hum of engines.

He lifted his gaze just in time to see three massive helicopters hovering over the sky.

The entire street froze.

People stopped in their tracks, their heads snapping up in shock.

The largest and most luxurious helicopter began its descent...right in front of him.

The wind whipped violently, blowing through his clothes as the aircraft landed with military precision.

Kai’s muscles tensed.

Was he in trouble?

What the hell was this?

Then the doors opened.

A woman stepped out.

Elara Vasquez.

Kai’s eyes narrowed. He knew who she was. Everyone did.

The wealthiest woman in Dominus City. The most powerful business mogul. Ruthless. Unshakable. Untouchable.

And yet...

She walked toward him with purpose.

With respect.

Then, in front of everyone, she bowed slightly.

“Young Master,” Elara said, her voice smooth, authoritative. “The Master wishes to see you.”

The entire street went silent.

Kai’s brows furrowed.

Young Master?

They had the wrong person.

His voice came out low, firm. “I think you’re mistaken.”

Elara’s gaze didn’t waver. “No, Young Master. We are not.”

Kai glanced behind her. The other helicopters were still hovering. Inside the landed one, figures in black suits waited, their expressions unreadable.

This wasn’t a request.

They weren’t asking.

Kai exhaled. He had no choice... going against such powerful number would only lead him to death.

With measured steps, he walked forward. The moment he boarded, the doors shut behind him.

As the helicopter rose, he glanced down.

The people in the streets were staring in awe. Some still had their phones out, recording.

Whispers filled the air.

“Who the hell is he?”

“Wait...that’s Elara Vasquez. She bowed to him?”

“Those are S-Class military helicopters! What the hell is going on?!”

The videos spread like wildfire. Within minutes, the internet exploded.

Who was the mysterious man Elara Vasquez personally escorted?

Why did the richest woman bow to him?

Is there an unknown  billionaire?

The helicopter flew into the most top-tier villa district in the country.

This wasn’t just luxury.

This was power.

Every home here belonged to men who controlled entire economies.

There were only 20 villas. The higher you lived, the more elite you were.

And Kai?

They were taking him to the top.

As the helicopter descended, the grand estate came into full view.

This wasn’t just a mansion.

This was a kingdom.

Everything about the estate radiated power. The towering villas, the pristine marble pathways, the flawless symmetry of a home meant for those who stood above all others.

Kai barely had time to process it before the doors opened.

What he saw stole his breath.

Hundreds of men in perfectly tailored suits lined the path. Their postures were rigid, their eyes locked onto him with firm respect.

These weren’t just bodyguards or employees.

These were men who ruled the world from behind the scenes.

Then, at the front...

Kai’s chest tightened.

Cassius Reed.

The richest man in their country. The undisputed ruler of global commerce. A man whose very name carried the weight of empires.

And beside him, several others.

Kai’s eyes flicked across the figures standing at attention. He knew them.

They were legends.

CEOs. Tech moguls. Oil tycoons. Political financiers.

Men who graced the covers of Forbes.

And they were all standing here.

Waiting.

For him?

Kai's stomach twisted. What the hell was happening?

Then...movement.

A middle-aged man emerged, pushing a wheelchair forward.

The frail figure in the chair was old, but his presence was undeniable.

His sharp, calculating eyes landed on Kai, and for a split second, an expression flickered across his face...pride.

Atlas Blackwood.

The man who controlled financial institutions across the globe.

A heartbeat passed.

Then, in one synchronized motion, the men in black bowed.

The air was heavy with power.

Then came the words that sent a shockwave through Kai’s chest...

"Hello, Master.”
