Sophia stood upright from Jackson's embrace as he recounted the tales of his childhood or whatever that was.

She felt a mix of emotions as she listened to him. She felt shocked and intrigued by his dark and dangerous life.

She felt curious and impressed by his skills and achievements. She felt sad and sympathetic to his loneliness and hardships.

Jackson continued, "I was trained and sent on missions by the then royal family, the rulers of the country, whom their organization was meant to serve. Even as a child, I rose through the ranks, I was the best of the best. Then tragedy happened."

Jackson told Sophia how the royal family was betrayed and killed by a coup, he told her how the Blade in Shadow was ambushed and slaughtered by their enemies, who had infiltrated their ranks.

He told her how he barely escaped with his life, along with a few survivors, who became his friends and allies.
