Chapter Sixty-nine

Pamela waited for a few seconds, then the door opened. She saw a man standing in front of her, a man who looked like Stanley, but also looked different.

He looked older, thinner, and grayer than his old Polaroid, he had wrinkles on his face, bags under his eyes, and a stubble on his chin.

He wore a faded shirt, a pair of jeans, and a pair of slippers. He looked like he had been living in isolation, neglecting his appearance, and losing his spirit.

"Who are you, and what can I help you with?" Stanley asked as he glanced up from his door,

"I'm here to ask you about an article you wrote, almost twenty-three years ago, about some missing child in the capital," Pamela answered, her expression composed.

"About time someone asks about the missing boy found in the royal palace before the royal family went missing.

You know what, come in, come inside," Stanley Marc said, gesturing for Pamela to enter.
