Lewis's words made him stop. "W-what do you mean?" Arnold was shocked by this confession.

This was not right! He clearly remembered what Starlla had said before she ended up in prison.

He wondered if she was really married to Tristan. This sounded absurd. Arnold knew that Starla hated Tristan. Then how could she be married to Tristan?

Arnold felt a great pain in his heart. His eyes fell back on Lewis. He wanted to refuse to believe what he said, but looking at his expression, Arnold knew that the man would not tell a lie. Remembering that Lewis was very afraid of him.

Lewis stood up from there. Looking at Arnold very seriously. "Sir, her parents forced Starlla to marry Tristan Zelda. That's why their marriage took place. They have been married for a year." Lewis gave an explanation

Arnold could barely control himself. His hands clenched into fists as he realized the painful fact.

He froze for a few moments. No words came out of his mouth. And now, he realized why Starla had not visited him for the past year.

Arnold didn't want to waste any time. He immediately left the base and went to the White family home. He needed to get a statement from Starla.

It didn't take long. By now, Arnold was in front of Starla's house. Anger made his blood boil. He barged into the White family home. He didn't even realize that the White House had undergone so many changes from four years ago.

Of course, this confirmed that the White family was still very fine, very different from his family, which had been destroyed.

Meanwhile, the entire White family was gathered. They were laughing warmly after talking about something. But Arnold's sudden arrival surprised them. Everyone was silent. In a matter of seconds, the warmth in the White House changed. They didn't know when Arnold had gotten out of prison.

Everyone gathered there and stood up, staring at Arnold with piercing eyes. Everyone showed hatred.

Arnold looked at everyone in the room. He tried to find Starla there. But he couldn't see her.

Leo White clapped his hands, the smile on his face showing mockery. "Wow, apparently, this criminal has been released from prison." Leo, who was there, didn't want to waste the opportunity to insult Arnold.

"Who allowed you to enter this house? You should know that a criminal doesn't deserve to set foot in a respectable family home like the White family."

Everyone noticed Arnold's appearance. He came in looking dishevelled. He looked like a bum who shouldn't have set foot in the White family.

"Have you lost your manners after being in prison for several years? A criminal like you has no rules." John joined in with his insults. He was Starla's uncle, who had often gotten help from Arnold.

"The police shouldn't let a criminal like you hang around. What are you doing here?" Starlla's mother emphasized her question. She was not happy with Arnold's arrival there, knowing that Arnold was here for Starla.

Arnold ignored all the insults. He didn't want to serve them. His only goal was to meet with Starla and listen to the woman's explanation. Even knowing the facts about Starla's marriage to Tristan, Arnold couldn't accept it.

"Where is Starla? I need to talk to Starla." Arnold shouted in the room. Glaring at everyone who was there.

"A criminal like you shouldn't be meeting with Starla." Frans's voice was followed by laughter from everyone in the room.

Arnold looked at him with disbelief. It was a shock when Frans insulted him.

Arnold had given up four years of prison to save Frans from the law. And how could that man insult him like the others?

"Go away! You don't deserve to set foot in the White family home." Frans emphasized his words again. His hand moved and pointed toward the door.

Arnold's hands clenched into fists. He couldn't accept this kind of treatment from the old man.

Arnold's eyes became cold. The flashback of four years ago made his emotions burn even more. "Have you forgotten who saved you?"

"I hope you haven't forgotten who killed Waston four years ago!" Arnold could barely control his anger.

Fran's jaw hardened. She was not happy with Arnold's words. "How dare you say that. Everyone knows you're a criminal. And a man like you should be dragged out of here!"

"Get out of here, or I'll kick you out of here," Fran shouted loudly.

Arnold didn't want to just leave. He was still standing and waiting for Starla's arrival. "I'm not leaving until I meet Starla," Arnold emphasized.

Fran grinned. "Do you still expect Starla to come back with you?" He laughed mockingly, then shook his head. "Starla has married a man who deserves her."

"She is a beautiful and highly educated woman. Of course, she deserves a man who is rich and from a respectable family, not a criminal like you." Fran emphasized that to Arnold.

"You should wake up and open your eyes. A man who has had dealings with the law certainly doesn't deserve to be a son-in-law in the White family." Starla's mother, too, gave Arnold an insult.

All that emphasis really hurt his heart. Arnold was increasingly unable to control his anger. He had to hear all the explanations from Starla. "Tell me where Starla is. I need to talk to her."

The sound of high heels came from the direction of the main door. At the same time, Arnold could still smell the familiar scent of a distinctive perfume. He knew it was Starla.

Arnold turned his body around. The movement of his eyes immediately caught the arrival of Starla, who was hand in hand with a man. He was Tristan.

This came as a great surprise to Arnold. Both his hands were clenched tightly into fists.

During his time in prison, he had always thought of Starla, waiting for the day when he would be free and marry her.

When he saw Starla, Arnold's feelings were the same as four years ago. His love for Starla was still very strong. But seeing Starla in the hands of another man-made, Arnold's heart hurt.

Starla was amazed when she saw Arnold standing in her house. Her chest was beating very fast. She hoped seeing Arnold before her was not just an illusion.

Starla swallowed hard. How could Arnold be standing in front of her right now? Previously, all she knew was that Arnold was dead. She remembered one year ago when her father said that Arnold had died because he had been shot by the warden when Arnold tried to escape.

But at this moment, Starla knew something that made her heart ache. She looked at her father with disappointment, and tears just flowed. She didn't expect her father to lie to her. Even her father knew how much Starla loved Arnold.

Starla really knows this is her father's and Tristan's plan. Arnold is not really dead. But she didn't realize when Arnold had been free and came here.

"Arnold?" Her lips trembled at the mention of Arnold's name. Her voice could barely be heard.

Starla removed her hand from Tristan, but her husband did not want to let go of her hand so quickly. Starla wanted to break away. Still, Tristan's gaze was very distressing to her.

Starla looked back at Arnold's face at this time, but she saw that Arnold was showing anger. His gaze was fixed straight on Starla. "You're married to that bastard?" Arnold glanced briefly at Tristan.

Starla couldn't hold back her tears any longer. She was speechless for a while. She could hardly even admit her marriage to Tristan. Knowing that it would hurt Arnold.

Suddenly, Tristan wrapped his arms around Starla's waist. This took her by surprise, but before she could let go, Tristan said, "Just say it, darling."

Starla swallowed, ventured to look at Arnold, and finally nodded her head. "Yes, I am married to Tristan."
