Gabriel's voice fills with joy and relief, takes out his phone from his pocket and dials Christian's number. As the call connects, he heads to the doctor's office."Christian," Gabriel begins, his words carrying emotions that swirl within him. "Rose has woken up."Gabriel had been so worried that Rose would not wake up. Two days had passed and that was enough to make him worried. He was beginning to get worried for his daughter and his company. If something were to happen to Rose, he would lose it and without Rose, his company would no longer be his. That could not happen. His blood, tears and sweat went into it so it has to be passed down to his own generation. There is a moment of silence on the other end of the line. Then, Christian's voice, laced with disbelief, responds, "She's awake? Are you serious?"Gabriel confirms, "Yes, she's awake. It's like a miracle."Christian expresses his gratitude, "Thank you for letting me know. I'm on my way."Gabriel arrives at the doctor's office
Christian's shoulders slumps with guilt as he listens to Rose's accusations with a heavy heart. He did not want to escalate to this level. He is just glad Rose is alright and the fatal phase is over now. Now she just has to recover."It's all my fault," he admits, "I should have never given you that medicine. I'm ready to take all the blame for what happened.""If I had fainted in that conference room," Rose shouts, her voice rising in anger, "Everyone would have thought I was incapable of being the president. I could have lost everything because of your stupid mistake!"The intensity of Rose's words reverberates in the room. Rose is not ready to back down. She wants Christian to feel her pain. She wants to humiliate him in front of father."And what if I hadn't been found in time?" Rose continues, her voice trembling with fear. "I could have died, Christian! All because you didn't think before giving me that medicine."Rose can shout as long as she wants. Deep down, Christian is glad
Luther is already up before the sun rises to the sky. It is pitch dark outside but it is gradually brightening up. He has finally found a way to get the money and get Alex out of the country. He opened a fixed deposit account when he demanded money from Ariel for one or two things. He knows by now some investments would have returned in the money and the balance would be higher than previously. But there is a lot of risk involved in this because he will lose everything he has built over the years. It's still worth it. He can't risk Alex getting caught.Luther picks up his phone on the nightstand beside his bed and calls Alex. It beeps once before the call is answered."Hello, Alex." Luther greets."Do you have the money?" Alex asks, straight to the point."Yes, I have it." Luther replies,"What about the ship? Have you spoken to whoever is in charge?" Alex asks, impatiently."Yes, I have. He is going to keep you hidden in a basement so that even if the police search, they won't find y
The door unbolts loudly startling Alex from his sleep. The door swings open revealing Bane standing at the entrance. Alex wipes his drool off his mouth with the back of his hand."Is something wrong?" Alex asks, worried."You can come up. The cops will have nothing to do with us anymore." Bane replies, walking away.Alex smiles, "I'll be up in a minute."Alex looks around, hoping to find somewhere to hide the briefcase. It is too risky walking around with the briefcase. He sees a corner in the wall that something can be kept. Alex keeps the briefcase in there and walks out of the room. Alex walks up to the surface of the ship. The cool breeze gently blows him, chilling him a bit. He wraps his arms around himself to keep warm. Alex looks closely and immediately something is wrong. He stomps towards Bane at the rails. How come they have not left? What is still keeping them? They were supposed to have left in the morning."Hey." Alex calls out, approaching Bane, "Hey!"Bane turns
Austin soaks the mop stick in the foamy bucket of water. He squeezes the mop till it's damp and drops it on the tiled floor. He mops the alcohol stained floor gently until the stain is cleaned. Austin looks at his wristwatch and sees that the time is 5:00am. The partygoers had finally left the club at 3:30am which gave him the time and opportunity to begin cleaning and arranging. He is the only person in the club, the workers have left because it's his shift to clean up. Feeling bored, he walks over to the counter and picks up the remote and turns the television on. The news channel comes on. He is about to flick to a music channel suddenly an emergency news hits on the screen pausing him. "An unidentified body was discovered floating at the sea near Green Sea Harbor. Officials are at the scene trying to identify the body." The news reporter announces.Austin can not help but feel dread in him as he slowly sits down at the counter. Austin exhales softly, "Why am I feeling this w
Vincent sees a familiar couple ahead and reduces his walking step so that Austin can meet up to him. Vincent glances at the familiar couple ahead of them, "isn't that Ariel and her new boyfriend, Luther?" "Yes." Austin replies, in bothered about seeing Ariel and Luther. Vincent and Austin walk past them without acknowledging their presence, still following the manager. Vincent looks at Austin, "Did you see the news about Alex?"Austin looks at Vincent surprised, "You saw it?""Yeah. Apparently he committed suicide." Vincent says. Austin blinks in surprise, "Suicide?" "It was later revealed when the police went to his home. They found a letter admitting his guilt and didn't want to spend his time in prison." "It's a shame. Now that case will be closed." Austin says, still feeling dread in his guts. The manager stops in front of six mannequins all dressed corporately in different styles and colors of suits. "When we got your request, we prepared these for you to make your choice
Ben stops the car at the entrance of a boutique. Austin turns to the building, surprised and turns to Vincent behind him. "What are we doing here?" Austin inquires. "It's time for your own shopping." Vincent says opening the back door and walking out. Austin takes off the seat belt and opens the door, coming out of the car. Vincent closes the door and so does Austin before Ben drives away. "I don't understand, Vincent. Why have we come to this boutique?" Austin asks. "You're going to attend the business conference as well. I want you to be there." Vincent replies. "You know I can't do that. I could be exposed." Austin cautions. "You don't have to introduce yourself. You can just watch and listen to what is happening."Austin pauses, stares Vincent for a moment. "Why are you doing this, Vincent?" Austin asks calmly, "I don't have a single friend who is doing all this for me."Vincent smiles. "If there's something you want to get out of me, now is a good time to ask for it. I c

Thank you.Austin is about to drop his phone on the bed before it rings. He looks at the screen and sees Ramsey calling. He answers it."Hey Ramsey, good morning." Austin greets."Austin, how are you doing?" Ramsey asks, glad to hear Austin's voice, "It's been a while since we last talked or saw each other.""I know. I'm fine, Ramsey. I have just been really
