Luther grazes his bursted lips with his fingers. He feels the warm liquid on his fingertips. He looks at it and sees red blood. Luther clenches his jaw and charges at Austin, swinging a punch at him. Austin evades the punch and jabs Luther in his stomach. Luther grunts his stomach, stumbling backward in pain. "I know what you did Luther. You made me lose my invitation card to the Jubilee Conference and then you manipulated Vincent." Austin threatens, "If you deceive Vincent again, I'll make you see a side of me that you have never seen before." Austin leaves the office, opening the door and slamming it shut loudly. Luther tries walking over to his chair but the pain halts him. He slowly sits on the floor, moaning in pain. Ding Ding! Luther's phone at a distance from him beeps loudly. He sighs. He thought he had damaged his phone. It seems the screen guard and phone pack were strong enough to withstand the impact. He extends his arm painfully and retrieves his phone. He sees the
Austin and Vincent look at each other in confusion."What are you talking about?" Vincent steps in front of Austin."We are arresting for the assault of Mr. Luther." A police officer says."Austin did not do anything. He has been with me." Vincent defends."Vincent?" Austin calls softly.Vincent turn to Austin, "Yes?"Austin shakes his head."You did it?" Vincent asks, surprised.A police officer takes out his handcuff and walks over to Austin, "Austin, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law." The police handcuffs Austin's hands."Austin, don't say anything. I will get you my lawyer. Everything will be fine." Vincent reassures, "Where are you taking him?""The City's police department." A police officer says. The police officers escort Austin out of the office."Luther, I know you did this." Vincent mutters to himself as he walks over to his desk to pick up his phone. Vincent takes his phone and immediately dials his la
Vincent, Austin and Francis exit the police station. They head to Vincent's parked some distance away. Austin takes a long look at Vincent. Austin cannot begin to imagine what he would do if Vincent is not his life. Since Vincent stepped into his life, he has become outgoing. Austin of before would not go out for any dinner or conference. He would always be working because that's all he thought of. Vincent is now gradually taking him out of his shell. "Why are you looking at me?" Vincent jokes. Austin quickly looks away, "It's nothing. I'm just glad I have you in my life. I promise you, Vincent, when I become the CEO of my company, I will repay you for your kindness.""Austin, I'm not doing this to regain any favors. You're my friend." Vincent says candidly."I know, Vincent. It's just sometimes, it feels like I have to repay you. It's the world I have lived in for some years now.""I'm not those type of people, Austin." Vincent says. "Mr. Vincent, I'll be leaving now. I have anoth
Austin feels the cool morning breeze. He looks up at the sky and the sun is gradually rising. Austin looks at his polished brown shoes and his black suit and trousers. Vincent had sent this for him yesterday. Today, Austin is going to Ariel's company to make a deal that he has no knowledge of yet. A black slows to a stop in front of Austin. The passenger's seat window winds down exposing Ben in the driver's seat. "Good morning, sir." Ben greets, "Please get in." Austin opens the passenger's seat and gets in, closing the door."Good morning, Ben. Please don't call me sir. You can call me Austin." "Mr. Vincent will be angry if I call you by your name." Ben notes. "Vincent does not seem that type of an uptight person." "He is uptight when it comes to you." Ben says. Austin looks at Ben, surprised by his words. Ben continues, "Mr. Vincent does not have anybody he can friends. The people surrounding him are who you call colleagues and business partners." "What about you, Ben? Do y
Ariel and Austin are seated opposite each other on the office sofa. Ariel crosses her legs and squints her eyes. "How do you know Mr. Vincent?" Ariel asks. "I'm not obligated to answer that question?" Austin counteracts. Ariel inhales deeply, "Do you have something on him? Are you blackmailing Mr. Vincent, that is why he is doing everything you want?" "Ariel, I'm not that type of person. I would never stoop so low." Austin says firmly. Ariel shakes her head, she can't get any information out of Austin no matter what she asks. "Can we begin the meeting now?" Austin asks. "Give me a moment. Luther will be joining us in the meeting." Ariel replies. Austin smirks. He is not surprised that Ariel called Luther over. In a matter of minutes, Ariel's office door swings open and Luther hurries in. He halts abruptly seeing Austin seated. "I could not believe it when Ariel told me. What are you doing here, Austin?" Austin says, walking over to sit beside Ariel. "I'm Mr. Vincent's repres
"I'm actually coming to your company," Psalms said.Rose blinked in surprise, "What?"Psalms chuckled, "You are so cute when you do that" he said and Rose blushed."Why are you coming to my company though?" Rose asked."Sir Gabriel and I are working on a project together," Psalms said and Rose nodded."I'll be going to your company right after I have my coffee, would you like to come with me?" Psalms asked. Rose felt extremely happy when he said that and Psalms noted it, "Of course" Rose smiled. After they had their coffee, they left the restaurant together.…… Ben drove Austin to Vincent's company. They both alighted the car. They got inside and they took an elevator to Vincent's office. He just finished a meeting with some clients when they came in."Austin, you're here," Vincent smiled."I'm here too" Ben mumbled and he rolled his eyes making Austin laugh. "I gave Ariel the contract already. She was really happy about it while Luther remained suspicious" Austin said."He's
"What's going on here?" Gabriel asked."Christian was just saying he didn't want Rose to get better," Psalms said."What did you just say!?" Gabriel asked with widened eyes. " Christian, it isn't true right?"."No dad, I was talking about a different Rose, Rose Shawn" Christian explained in a calm voice."Isn't that right Tatiana?" He asked his worker."Yes, that's right," She said. Gabriel sighed in relief, " I knew my son would never hurt his sister in any way " Gabriel said."Wait, why don't you want this Rose Shawn to get better?" Psalms asked, he eyed Christian suspiciously."Rose Shawn is an ex-convict. She was taken to the mental hospital after it was confirmed that she had a disorder. We don't want her to get better because we know if she does, she might try to escape and she will hurt a lot of people " Christian lied through his teeth."That sounds believable, isn't it Psalms?" Gabriel asked."I guess so" Psalm said, he could have sworn that Christian was actually talking ab
Austin felt like air had been knocked out of his lungs. He felt so shocked by the revelation. He had left the party because Ramsey called him to inform him about something important. Never in his wildest imaginations did he think something like that would occur. Who would listen to him though? He would explain from now till the world comes to an end but no one would believe him because he had no evidence."I knew Austin would try to jeopardize Vincent's career," Ariel yelled, she pushed her way to the front of the crowd. Austin didn't feel surprised at all, this was her plan, she wanted to separate him and Vincent."This is why I broke up with his sorry ass," Ariel said."Let's not jump into conclusions, why would you believe a criminal?" Vincent asked. " Let's check his phone, the evidence we need must be in there," Austin said. The cops checked the thief and they brought out his phone."Is this necessary?" Ariel asked. "The thief has confessed already," she said. Austin coul
