8. Second Revenge Begin

"Mr. Leo, I have the results of the information about Mr. Walter's credit card transactions."

Leo and Bram stopped their steps when they heard Hans' voice. From the side, Hans walked over holding a paper in a hurry.

Seeing the serious look on Hans' face made Leo know that there was important information. Leo felt a sense of enthusiasm as well as a sense of caution.

"What did you find?" Leo asked.

When Hans was beside Leo, he handed him a paper.

"I found a suspicious transaction two years ago. It coincided with the year when Mr. Walter was suspected of drug dealing business, but somehow a few months later, Mr. Walter was cleared of the charges"

"Drug dealing business? Two years ago?"

Leo frowned after hearing Hans' explanation.

Two years ago, Leo had indeed witnessed Mr. Walter who had been charged with drug dealing business. In that business, there was considerable fraud committed by Mr. Walter.

Unfortunately, in just a short time, Mr. Walter was cleared of the charges.

Leo was still too stupid and did not have extensive knowledge at that time. So he was almost ordered by Mr. Walter to take his place in prison.

Leo got lucky because at that time he found someone who replaced Mr. Walter's position to be imprisoned. That someone was the man who was Mr. Walter's personal secretary before being replaced by the current secretary.

"Two years ago was also when my parents died," Leo muttered.

"The matter is very serious, Mr. Leo. Because of a transaction made in that year, Mr. Walter sent some money to an account holder named Mr. Jonathan."

Suddenly Leo's eyes widened in surprise after hearing Mr. Jonathan's name. He looked at Hans in disbelief.

"That's my father," Leo said in shock. "I didn't know Mr. Walter sent money to you."

Hans frowned. "You mean, the father who took care of you while you were away from Mr. Holland?"

Leo nodded his head, his face paled. His curiosity grew so much that he opened Mr. Walter's credit card transaction tracking information sheet.

"The year 2022..." Leo muttered in between searching Mr. Walter's credit card transactions to the account of Mr. Jonathan, his foster father.

"Oh, here! You see this, Mr. Leo," said Bram who was also helping to look for Mr. Walter's credit card transactions.

Leo shifted his gaze to the column Bram was pointing to. The frown on his forehead deepened when he actually saw Jonathan's name as the account holder.

"Transaction made on September 17th..." Leo muttered, feeling that something was fishy.

After recalling this rather odd date, Leo finally opened his eyes in surprise again. Leo just realized that the transaction between Mr. Walter and Mr. Jonathan's account happened two days before the date of death.

"My parents had an accident on September 19. Two days after the transaction between them took place," Leo said.

Hans and Bram looked at each other with astonishment. They both suspected something after hearing Leo's words.

"What exactly happened?" asked Leo in astonishment.

"That's quite a short time gap, Mr. Leo. Do you know whether Mr. Jonathan had any dealings with Mr. Walter or not?" asked Bram.

Leo shook his head with a stunned expression. He really didn't expect Mr. Jonathan to get a money transfer from Mr. Walter.

"The amount of money is four million dollars," Hans said. "There's no way Mr. Jonathan would have gotten that amount of money if he didn't have anything to do with Mr. Walter."

"Is my father hiding something?" Leo wondered suspiciously.

"Is there something we should find out, Mr. Leo?" asked Hans.

Leo turned his gaze to Hans. For a few seconds, he needed to think about what he should do.

"How do I know what happened between Mr. Jonathan and Mr. Walter?"

"I am very pleased and honored to be standing in front of all of you, potential investors, to present Grand Ocean Central. A restaurant that will provide additional resort facilities for VVIPs."

Leo sat looking at Mr. Walter who was presenting the business plan of his new resort restaurant.

His presence was completely unknown to Mr. Walter. Leo had registered as a potential investor for the Walt Group Company. Leo even deliberately took a seat in a row that was quite far from the stage.

While listening to Mr. Walter's long explanation, Leo imagined what Mr. Walter was doing with Mr. Jonathan-his father. Why was there a money transaction going on between them?

What did Mr. Jonathan do that made Mr. Walter pay him?

"Mr. Leo, stay focused," said Bram who sat beside Leo.

Leo was snapped out of his reverie. He turned to Bram who was looking at him seriously.

"Ah, I hate to see Mr. Walter living the good life," Leo said quietly.

Leo's gaze became very sharp at Mr. Walter.

"You know, some of the companies under the Wal Innovate Group often achieve several times the increase in profits.

"Starting from an increase in profit of 60%, 80%, even the highest is 96%. All of these profit increases are proof that the Wal Innovate Group places great importance on the quality of the businesses, so we have very few losses."

After Mr. Walter's words, the echoing sound of applause was heard.

"He designs businesses without feeling guilty for planning to destroy others by taking advantage," Leo continued.

Mr. Walter continued to speak explaining about the business innovation of Grand Ocean Central. But there was no honesty that the place would become the headquarters for the distribution of narcotics transactions.

It was very clear that Mr. Walter's drug distribution business plan would harm many parties.

Otherwise, Mr. Walter would not have kept it a secret.

"Do you have any questions?" asked Mr. Walter after a long explanation.

Leo immediately raised his hand.

Mr. Walter pointed at Leo, but he hadn't noticed Leo's presence.

"Please stand, honorable Mr. Prospective Investor," Mr. Walter said.

Lifting his hat, Leo stood up. So that the grinning look on his face could be seen by Mr. Walter.

"Leo?" Mr. Walter was surprised. "I mean, Mr. Leo? Ah... what did you want to ask?"

Leo noticed Mr. Walter's nervousness. That's when Leo felt even more challenged to trap Mr. Walter.

"Actually, I really admire Wal Innovate Group Company for always putting their quality first. I also admire the business plan of Grand Ocean Central Restaurant, Mr. Walter. However, one thing I'm very curious about..."

Leo stopped his words for a moment.

"Is the Grand Ocean Central Restaurant just a restaurant with the added facilities of a VVIP resort?" Leo quipped.

Leo's question elicited a whispered reaction from his surroundings.

Meanwhile, Mr. Walter looked both surprised and slowly paled. For a split second, there was awkwardness on Mr. Walter's face.

"What are you talking about, Mr. Leo? Of course this restaurant will run as a restaurant, but we offer lodging facilities with a different sensation," Mr. Walter replied.

"Show us the design of your goals while running Grand Ocean Central Restaurant, Mr. Walter."

"I've made it clear from the beginning, Mr. Leo. I don't think there's anything to explain-"

"Once you've built the Grand Ocean Central restaurant, what do you do after that? Just manage it like running water without developing it any more interesting?"

Mr. Walter paused. His gaze began to look sharp as he felt somewhat offended by Leo's words.

"We, the investors, want profits that increase every year. If you only manage so-so, with no development, your turnover will go down, Mr. Walter. We're not interested in a business that only lasts two years," Leo said somewhat sarcastically.

"Alright. I'll show you the growth plan for managing Grand Ocean Central Restaurant."

After that, the large LED projector screen changed its appearance. Instantly everyone in the room, except Leo and Bram, were smiling with satisfaction.

"So, this is—" Mr. Walter's speech stopped after seeing the screen.

It wasn't a fake plan for the development of the Grand Ocean Central Restaurant that Mr. Walter had prepared. But the words "NEW YORK ALIANCE NARCOTIC DEVELOPMENT FOR DID CARTEL" were prominently displayed.

"Wow, Mr. Walter. As expected, someone as money- and profit-oriented as you can't just run a resort restaurant as usual."

Mr. Walt looked angrily at Leo.

The echo of Leo's applause rang out as the reporters began to photograph the LED screen.

"Hey, the DID Cartel's existence is starting to reappear! They've been gone for a long time!"
