7. Discovered A New Truth

"Narcotics network distribution plan?"

Leo couldn't help but feel surprised after reading the LED screen in the gathering room of Mr. Holland's mansion. Moments ago Leo had managed to take away the flashdrive containing Mr. Walter's business plan data and brought Mr. Walter's credit card.

In the private gathering room in Mr. Holland's mansion, Leo along with his parents, Bram, Hans, and Bennedict - Mr. Holland's personal secretary, read Mr. Walter's business plan data.

Leo did not expect that there was a narcotics network distribution plan in Mr. Walter's flashdisk.

"What is this?" asked Leo confused.

"The DID or The Dragon In the Dark Cartel narcotics network will expand its narcotics distribution alliance to New York."

"The headquarters for drug deals will be The Giant Resort & Restaurant, a restaurant to be built by Wal Innovate Group."

Hearing Bram and Hans read the information in Mr. Walter's business plan, Leo was dumbfounded.

"That's Mr. Walter's company," Leo said to Hans, who was reading the information on Mr. Walter's business plan.

"So, Mr. Walter's main goal is not to build a restaurant with resort facilities, but to build the headquarters of the DID Cartel's narcotics alliance," Bram said.

Leo was still staring at the leadership structure of the New York narcotics alliance. The leader of the New York DID Cartel alliance was Mr. Walter. While his deputy was Jacob, the man who would marry Lily.

"Mr. Walter wants to profit from the sale of narcotics at his resort restaurant?" Leo asked, inferring.

"That's right. If he does that, his profits will be multiplied many times over," Mr. Holland, Leo's father, said.

"He's going to hurt a lot of people," Leo said. "Do you know what the DID Cartel is like, Dad?"

Mr. Holland let out a long breath. He froze for a few seconds as his face turned troubled.

"The DID Cartel is a narcotics business network whose center is in Mexico. The cartel does have alliances with various countries in America, Europe, and Asia.

"You know, the DID Cartel narcotics network is very difficult to catch. The parent members of the DID Cartel are five companies. To reveal who is the leader of each parent member, the Attorney General's Offices of various countries need to work hard.

"If the DID Cartel is going to expand its network to New York, it is likely that Mr. Walter's Wal Innovate Group company is the leader."

"That means we have to reveal Mr. Walter is the alliance leader of the DID Cartel from New York?" asked Leo.

"That's right. I think it's very difficult. Mr. Walter must have a protective backing," replied Mr. Holland.

"I've heard that if one network is exposed, the rest of the business network will also be exposed. We're not just dealing with Mr. Walter, Mr. Leo," Bram said.

"There are a total of six parent members of the DID Cartel. That means there are six leaders of each alliance," Leo tried to think as he said the conclusion of the explanation.

"If there's already an agreement like that, it means there will be a secret meeting. If there is indeed a secret meeting, we have a great chance of finding out about them," Leo continued.

"You mean undercover?" asked Hans.

"Maybe we can find another way," Leo replied.

"Their secret meetings will definitely have very tight protection, Leo. You won't easily penetrate the business circle of the six parent members of the DID Cartel," Mr. Holland replied.

Leo actually didn't feel entirely sure of his thoughts either. But if he thought about it, there couldn't be no loopholes for the secret meetings of the six parent members of the DID Cartel.

"We can't come directly to the secret meeting place, Father. We have to be part of their business," Leo said.

Mr. Holland frowned, showing a faint disapproval.

"What do you mean?"

"If we can't attack from outside the shell, then we have to get inside the shell," Leo revealed one slogan he had heard during his time in the business world.

"Wait, Mr. Leo..." Hans stopped what he was saying. His gaze looked suspiciously at Leo.

"Do you want us to enter or join their business network?" Hans asked.

"No, Leo," Mrs. Holland, Leo's mother, argued. "You have no idea how ruthless they are."

Leo turned his gaze to Mrs. Holland. He saw the obvious concern on Mrs. Holland's face.

"I'm not putting myself out there in front of them, Mrs. Holland. I'm just... perhaps a behind-the-scenes, unknown, but most powerful part of their business development," Leo said.

Mr. Holland let out a long breath at Leo's explanation.

"Leo, they'll know you're watching them anyway," Mr. Holland replied.

"That's bound to happen, Dad," Leo replied. "But at least I've found out about them. In the meantime, I need to find out about each and every one of them."

"I'm not sure they'll be approachable," Bram replied, also wearing a worried expression.

"The most important thing is that we defend that land, Bram. We can't let the investors of the Araizona Center Land Residential Property development project fail," Leo tried to reassure.

Bram did not answer. But from his expression, he seemed to want to carry out Leo's plan.

"If we fail to get the land and the investors have already given us 50 million dollars, the investors won't trust us. Araizona Group Company's reputation will suffer," Leo said, looking at the LED screen seriously.

The whole room fell silent. They didn't dare agree, nor did they dare argue.

Doubt engulfed them all. Because what they were dealing with now was the DID Cartel-a huge and unbeatable narcotics business network.

Mr. Holland was worried about how Leo could survive against the DID Cartel. This was the first time for Leo to face such fierce business competition.

"Leo, how can you fight them?" Mr. Holland asked.

Leo replied with a smile, "I didn't fight them, Father. I approached them slowly and built trust with them."

"They will be very angry if they find out you betrayed them in the end," Mr. Holland was still saying the worst case scenario.

"That's right, Leo. Their anger might be very dangerous for you," Mrs. Holland, his mother replied.

Leo instantly remembered the moment he was killed by the cruel Mr. John-loan shark. He also remembered his entire life of only getting unfair treatment, even some violence from Mr. Walter.

This wasn't the first time Leo had faced a difficult life situation.

However Leo considers it, in the end there is only one path he has to take: facing the six members of the DID Cartel's mothership.

Leo must triumph over Mr. Walter and avenge all the trash he's gotten. Leo must tell Liona that he is not a useless loser.

Also, to his parents who died tragically in an accident. His parents had worked as office boys for Mr. Walter's company. But they were treated unfairly.

"But Leo can't just stand by and watch Araizona Group Company crumble, Father," Leo said with conviction.

Mr. Holland was stunned to hear Leo's words.

Leo turned to Mr. Holland. The look in his eyes exuded strong ambition.

"It's been quite a few years since I just stood by and let my life be ruined. This time, even if it costs me the chance to live, at least I won't die in vain."
