Chapter 4

"This is the DNA test report for both you and me. Take a look!" Darius pointed to a document on the table and said to Maximus.

Maximus was startled, feeling that this situation was incredibly strange.

He had only accepted the system a few hours ago, so how did this Darius already have his test results?

Could the system have intervened in this? It was hard to believe!

Thinking about it, Maximus felt that everything was too unbelievable.

"Yes!" Maximus replied and picked up the DNA test results to examine them.

"Is this really true? Are we actually blood-related? Am I your grandson?" Maximus asked, surprised after reviewing the results, looking at Darius.

Darius, lying on the hospital bed, smiled. "Ha ha... This is no joking matter! I don't want my Tiki Group to fall into the hands of someone unrelated to me. You are my kidnapped grandson, Maximus Robert!"

Maximus was still in shock.

Darius noticed Maximus's expression and wasn't surprised. After all, anyone would be like this. Suddenly discovering that they had a family and, moreover, inherited a multi-billion-dollar corporation.

Once Maximus calmed down a bit, Darius spoke again.

"I don't have much time left to live. The future of the corporation will depend on you!" Darius revealed a hint of weariness.

"Currently, the company is facing some problems, and many people have objections to you becoming the chairman. However, it doesn't matter because you will inherit 70% of the company's shares! Therefore, in the company, you have the power to decide on all matters!"

Pausing for a moment, Darius continued, "But I am worried that you might lose your way. There are many ambitious individuals within the company, so I'm concerned that they might deceive you. That's why I have been preparing for this for over a decade. Do you know Kaytlyn? She is obedient. I saved and raised her so that she can help you manage the corporation in the future."

"Kaytlyn? But can we trust her?" Maximus asked in return.

"What if she refuses to work for you?" Darius didn't answer but instead asked a counter-question.

"In that case... she will become my enemy. I won't forgive those who betray me; I will punish them!" Maximus replied firmly.

After Darius passed away, all of his assets would transfer to Maximus. That meant he would inherit everything from the old man, making it his own personal fortune. No one would be able to touch it!

Upon hearing Maximus's words, Darius's eyes lit up, as if he could see his own youthful self from years ago.

"Hahaha... Well done! You are indeed my grandson, Maximus. All the assets are for you, do whatever you want. Trust no one but yourself. That's how you have survived and managed the TiKi corporation so well!"

Darius laughed heartily, pleased with Maximus' response.

The old man knew it was unfair to Kaytlyn, but is this world really fair?

Darius took in Kaytlyn, provided her with education, nurtured her for over a decade, without worrying about money, and gave her a wealthy life. It is the dream of many others. Isn't that enough?

If Kaytlyn is still greedy, then Darius won't stop Maximus from doing anything to her.

This is Darius' character. Both he and Maximus are alike in not forgiving those who betray them.

After talking with Maximus, Darius immediately called Kaytlyn to have a conversation. It is unknown how long they talked, but when they came out, Kaytlyn had a somewhat unhappy expression. However, Maximus didn't pay much attention. As long as Kaytlyn doesn't offend him, he won't make things difficult for her.

Confirming that he is indeed Darius' true grandson and the sole heir of the TiKi conglomerate, Maximus felt confident. He lived more comfortably in the mansion. Darius' health was deteriorating, and Maximus deeply regretted that the system couldn't cure him.

"Just as I gained a family, I have to part ways again!" Maximus looked at his deceased grandfather, feeling a sense of melancholy and fatigue.

Darius' funeral lasted for three days, and the number of visitors was limited. Only those familiar with Darius were allowed to pay their respects.

During this time, Maximus also came into contact with influential people, including some figures in the city government of Los Angeles.

...

A month passed, and the funeral of Darius was concluded.

Maximus was in a large mansion with many servants and renowned chefs. They would take care of Maximus' life here. Among them, there were two beautiful maids, Charlotte and Sophia.

"What will we have today, Charlotte?"

"Yes, sir. Today, the chef will prepare Foie Gras, Caviar and Truffle, Lobster Thermidor."

Charlotte reported.

Maximus looked at the delicious and expensive dishes prepared by the top chef and sighed. In this month, he finally experienced the feeling of being wealthy. He could indulge in expensive food, expensive wine, and sleep in luxurious rooms. Maximus' life had entered a different class, making him endlessly happy.

After finishing the meal, Maximus suddenly thought of the director who had expelled him from the company, which dampened his mood.

"Now it's time to seek revenge on that person and make him regret it!"

With this in mind, Maximus returned to his room, dressed in a luxurious suit, wearing a specially designed expensive Cartier watch, with a unique and exquisite design. He put on a pair of shoes from a famous brand, and then Maximus drove a BMW 3 Series to VinOPEN company. This time, he was different. He had become the owner of the TiKi conglomerate, including its subsidiaries under the name VinOPEN, all under his management.

As Maximus entered the VinOPEN company, a security guard approached to stop him.

"This is VinOPEN company, who are you? You can't enter without an employee card."

Maximus smiled, took off his sunglasses, and said, "Security guard, it's me, Maximus. Have you forgotten already?"

"Oh! Maximus. Aren't you the one who was fired?" The security guard spoke with a skeptical tone.

"Yes! I was fired! This time, I'm here to settle everything," Maximus said with a laugh.

He then took out his phone, made a call, and handed it to the security guard.

"The Chairman? You're the Chairman!" The security guard exclaimed, his mouth agape, seemingly unable to believe it.

Maximus laughed and walked into the company, receiving the guard's respectful gestures.
