Chapter 3

The luxurious cars slowed down and began to stop in front of Maximus.

Maximus was startled; he hadn't considered the possibility that this was a reward system. Nevertheless, he believed that even if the system was powerful, it couldn't make him instantly wealthy. Following his instincts, he quickly dodged to the side, but unfortunately, he bumped into someone else's car. Not only was he unsure if the person would compensate him for the damage, but they might also counter-sue him.

Maximus had encountered such situations many times before, so he didn't want to let it happen again.

Seeing Maximus avoiding the collision, the onlookers didn't find it surprising.

"Hey, buddy, I'm talking to you. Come over here, there's no need to stand there risking a confrontation with the person in the Rolls-Royce. You'll be punished for it," a kind-hearted man reminded Maximus.

Maximus smiled, feeling that the man was right, so he walked over to where the man was.

"You're young, and you still have many opportunities ahead of you. So keep striving. Who knows, maybe one day you'll be sitting in a Rolls-Royce yourself! Ha ha ha..." the man laughed, patting Maximus on the shoulder, thinking that Maximus was feeling insecure.

Maximus nodded and laughed but didn't engage in conversation.

Why?

Because he was about to become wealthy as he would inherit the Tiki Corporation!

With this thought in mind, Maximus had the idea of leaving this place and going back home to investigate more information about the Tiki Corporation. After all, Tiki Corporation was a large conglomerate, and he wanted to understand it better.

Just as he was about to leave, the person in the Rolls-Royce got out and shouted loudly, "Wait a moment!"

Maximus didn't think the person was calling him, so he continued walking. But then, the voice of a beautiful girl echoed, "Wait! Maximus, I'm calling you! Please wait!"

Maximus was stunned, feeling that something was a bit unreal. He turned around and saw a beautiful girl stepping out of the Rolls-Royce and walking straight towards him, looking directly at him.

At this moment, Maximus understood that this girl was indeed speaking to him.

But why would she be talking to him? He was just an office employee and had never met a beautiful and wealthy girl like her before. So, what made this beautiful girl call him?

Maximus had many questions in his mind, but before he could ask, the girl spoke again, "Hello, Maximus. I'm from the Tiki Corporation! I have something to discuss with you. Can we get in the car and talk for a bit? I believe you won't regret it!"

After finishing her sentence, the beautiful girl made a gesture inviting Maximus to get in the car.

Maximus glanced at the group of bodyguards following the girl and began to have some doubts about the system.

Could it be that the system had changed his identity so quickly? If that was true, Maximus felt a mixture of excitement and worry.

"Okay, I understand!" Maximus pretended to respond and followed the girl into the Rolls-Royce.

Once inside the car, the girl gave an order, "Drive to the mansion!" Then she looked at Maximus and explained, "You might not know me yet, but you will soon! My name is Kaytlyn, and I've been asked by Chairman Darius to bring you back home to meet him."

Kaytlyn looked at Maximus as she explained.

"What does this have to do with me?" Maximus asked.

"Because you are Chairman Darius's grandson! You were kidnapped when you were only one year old. Maybe you don't remember, but I'm certain of it! Chairman Darius saved and raised me since I was young, and now I work at the Tiki Corporation. In the future, you will inherit the Tiki Corporation, and I will do my best to assist you in managing the corporation," Kaytlyn explained.

Upon hearing Kaytlyn's words, Maximus finally understood.

She had been adopted by Chairman Darius, and her purpose was to find Maximus one day. Kaytlyn would become the person who would help Maximus manage the corporation because without someone like Maximus, the corporation would surely be taken over by other conglomerates.

But would this girl really help him?

According to the system, Chairman Darius would die from an illness in the near future. Now that he reappeared, Kaytlyn would certainly not receive any shares of the corporation! Maximus was contemplating whether this girl named Kaytlyn would betray him after Chairman Darius's death.

Suddenly, the voice of the system rang out, providing Maximus with some reassurance.

He might not have specialized knowledge or exceptional talent, but he had the system! The system would make him stronger.

So what if Kaytlyn betrayed him?

He had the system, and no one could harm him!

With these thoughts, a sense of confidence appeared on Maximus's face.

Over an hour later, the Rolls-Royce stopped at a luxurious mansion.

As Maximus looked around, he was surprised by the size of the mansion. It was more beautiful than any he had seen on social media.

Inside the mansion, whether it was the flowers or the plants, everything was valuable and rare.

And this place would be where Maximus would reside.

Maximus smiled, feeling that life would be truly exciting from now on.

Kaytlyn led Maximus to a room where numerous doctors were hurrying back and forth, showing that Chairman Darius's condition was critical.

Maximus was curious about how Darius, who was also his grandfather, would look like.

Walking into the room with Kaytlyn, they saw an old man lying on the bed, looking at the two of them.

Maximus was unfamiliar and didn't speak, while Kaytlyn smiled and said to the old man, "Chairman, I have brought back your grandson."

"Kaytlyn, thank you so much! I appreciate what you've done. Please leave me alone and let me talk to my grandson!"

Darius spoke, his weak voice indicating his current frailty.

Kaytlyn was concerned but knowing Darius' personality, she nodded and told the doctors, "Come with me outside."

The doctors didn't dare to disobey and followed Kaytlyn out. Now, there were only Maximus and the old man in the room.

The old man looked at Maximus, smiled, and explained, "You must be wondering why you're here, right? Okay, I will explain everything to you."

Maximus remained silent, just looking at him, as he felt that Darius's face resembled his own to some extent. Thinking about it, Maximus felt a bit startled. Could it be that the system had actually found his family?

But this needed verification to be certain!
