Before Herbert could respond, Marcellus rose and placed a firm hand on Noah’s shoulder. "Why the fear, Noah? You’ve got the Blackwood family backing you. We’re offering protection not just for you, but for your businesses too. There’s no reason to worry." His tone was cold, almost confrontational.
