Chapter 14: It was Revealed

“It’s closing!” Mika said.

The Portal continued shrinking and completely closed. The three were surprised and dumbfounded.

“So… what now?” Lumine asked.

“We really need to find another way out,” Mika answered.

“We’ll do that tomorrow,” Nikko butted in.

Mika agreed, “I agree. It’s too dangerous to travel at the night.”

Lumine sighed, “Well, we have no choice.”

They all accepted to spend the night at the top of the trees.

Later on, Lumine noticed something about Mika. “By the way, Mika, why are your clothes like that?” she asked.

“What do you mean?”

“They’re all torn and ragged. What happened to you earlier?”

Nikko butted in, “An ape killed her. But she rose from the dead.”

“A what now?” Lumine’s confused expression.

“Uh - eh,” Mika tried to explain what happened without mentioning the secret of why she survived the attack.

Lumine is still confused, “I don’t understand Nikko. Is he joking or something?”

“No. It’s true,” Mika mumbled.
