CHAPTER 6

Lunel Chase became really upset and wanted to find out who he was; but before he could say a word, the man asked with contempt;

"What department do you work in?"

This got Lunel Chase upset that he asked him back; "What department are you in?"

"Well if you must know you dimwit, I am the vice president of Acorn Craft and you, well, you are fired." He uttered.

Mr Lunel Chase sneered and couldn't help but find it really amusing that a mere vice president felt he had the audacity to fire him, if only he knew.

Before Lunel could say anything else, Vivian intercepted. She with a frown face said coldly to the vice president;

"Well Mr Alverz, you can't fire him, even if you wanted to. That I can assure you, kindly let whatever issues pass."

"Who are you to order me around? I am not from your branch okay? I am from the other branch of Acorn Crafts. I don't have to listen to you, neither do you have any right to tell me what to do." Vice president Mr Alverz uttered sternly.

Vivian knew that Lunel Chase wanted to keep his identity a secret which was the reason why she decided to stand up for him.

But even now, the vice president of their mother branch was being too difficult, he had no idea what he was doing to himself. Vivian tried to warn him but that wasn't working out, it would seem.

"Why the hell are you being so stubborn? You do not have any rights to give orders here either. Let this pass and go your way." Vivian uttered.

Deep down she was scared that her boss Mr Lunel Chase would think she lacks authority neither does she know how to manage such things.

She got really furious with Mr Alverz and began exchanging words with him.

But then, the truth of the matter is that Lunel had no issues with her at all, all he wanted was to deal with the person in front of him who has no manners.

At this point he couldn't care less about his identity being known by one more person, he has had enough of people pushing him around and talking down at him. So he felt the need to put this man in his place.

He then asked; "Why don't you tell me what reason you have for firing me anyway?"

That question made it seem like he was being relevant and that Lunel was becoming scared of him.

"You were disrespectful and rude, you have no respect for people in high positions in the company, so firing you would do the company more good." He uttered sternly.

"What is your name again?" Mr Lunel Chase asked with a sneer.

"Mr Simon Alverz, the vice president of Acorn Crafts. You should never forget that name ever." He retorted proudly.

"Very well, *smirks* trust me, I won't." Lunel uttered and then dialed a number.

After one ring the call got connected and he uttered; "I want you to fire a certain Mr Simon Alverz the so called vice president of this cooperation for being disrespectful towards me. He has no manners, I want him out of the company as soon as possible, and when I say that, I mean, now."

Simon Alverz began to laugh hysterically as this was something new and funny to him. How could someone as unkempt as he was make such a call if not to chase clout?

Never in his life or even in history has it occurred that someone of such low class or status would be influential enough to want to fire anyone who talked more of him who was actually a vice president.

It was hysterical that he laughed to the point, his eyes were watering.

"Oh my goodness!!" He finally uttered after he comported himself and continued; "Ms. Vivian, how on Earth could you possibly stoop, yourself and the company you run so low to the point that you are now hiring psychos and wannabes? Who the hell does he think he is to want to fire me? Haha, hilarious, you should get enrolled as a comedian, hopefully you would make the audience laugh too before they die from your stench."

As if that was not enough he continued; "Honestly, you Ms. Vivian shouldn't even be the head of this company. Well guess what, if I head to my office I will report you and your staff to the headquarters, that is just something I will do. You both deserve to be jobless."

"You sure do know how to act Mr Alverz, that I can assure you." Vivian uttered, smiling and shaking her head.

"Oh so you don't believe that I can make sure you and this thing here *referring to Lunel* never gets a job for the rest of your lives? I will make sure no one in the entire city gives you both employment, that I certainly assure you. No one will accept your C.V's (Curriculum Vitae) in the entire district."

"Oh really, why don't you make a phone call now since you are all powerful and assertive?" Vivian uttered and continued; "You are just a vice president, you have no rights whatsoever to do all that in my company to do any of those threats you just said."

"Oh just you wait for me to get to the headquarters, you will wish you never met me this morning. I will…" He wanted to say but was interrupted by a phone call.

He smiles after recognising who the caller was, it was just like he had hoped for.

For the first time ever, someone from the headquarters was calling him, he felt proud that probably he would get promoted, so his mood changes immediately and he picks up smiling and proudly uttered;

"This is Mr Simeon Alverz on the line."

Knowing who could be calling him, Lunel smiled and stood there waiting for him to answer his call.
