CHAPTER 7

A very furious voice uttered;

"Mr Simeon Alverz, you are fired."

Before Simeon Alverz could process what was said, the call got disconnected.

His flattery and smiley face turned into sadness and this was something he never thought would happen.

Lunel Chase smiled and looked at him, he got confused and then asked;

"Wait… were you the one responsible for that?"

"What do you think? Of course I did, did you think I was joking around when I made that phone call?"

"How? Who are you? How can you make such remarks and orders?" Simeon asked

"Still running your mouth right? Anyways, now that you know that I did, are you not going to plan avenging or something?"

He smiled nervously and immediately got down on his knees, the so-called mighty vice president had fallen.

Because as of that moment, everything that has to do with his title has slipped through his fingers. He was not so proud of his position anymore so all he could think about was to plead and hope they forgave him.

"I beg of you please don't fire me. This is everything that I really have in life, don't take it away from me. I am sorry for the way I treated you earlier. I have been so stupid I shouldn't have said all those mean things to you. I'm really sorry. Please forgive me. I will never do it again. I promise just let this pass."

Rather than say anything more to him and the fact that he had accomplished what he wanted Lunel Chase smiled and walked away.

He had no remorse for him because when they both bumped into each other he apologized but since he was proving to be stubborn and felt he was in a higher position, he had to teach him a lesson he would never forget in his entire life.

Watching him walk away ignoring his words, Simeon Alverz then stood up for fear any of the employees he had earlier spoken harshly to, wouldn't fund him in such a position as he was overwhelmed with shame, turned to Vivian who was looking at him with contempt and uttered sternly;

"I am sorry for exchanging words with you like that, but please answer me this, who is that man?"

Vivian looked at him with disdain, smiled and left him standing there, lost and got into her office.

Now he was all alone, he had no choice but to get back on his knees and cried bitterly for his foolishness.

Due to his being stupid and acting all mighty, he has lost everything he got, his job as vice president which he thought he would hold onto forever, his only source of income and everything else.

How was he going to care for his family, especially his demanding girlfriend, his little siblings and to crown it all up, pay for his car? All of these dawned on him and he couldn't move a muscle.

Lunel Chase came out from the company and began walking on the streets, due to his current hidden identity, he has nowhere to go to.

He began to think about what Vivian had said to him in the office, of course he knew he was a talented businessman that was the reason why he owned such a huge Empire in the first place, he began to reason if he was wrong to punish his wife in that way.

Vivian had told him that it was easy to get the 10 million dollars in less than a week, but he had resolved in his heart that he would never let that happen.

He knows what to do to make sure they never get to the required ultimatum.

So to cover his trail, he has to go back to the construction site because that's the only place he knew to go.

He needs to relax and probably take a nap, but then he has no idea what awaits him.

As he got to the gate of the construction site where he has been working for several months, the unimaginable happened.

The security guards at the gate did something they had never done, they stopped him from getting in there.

"You can't go in there." One of the security guards uttered.

Lunel Chase was confused and had no idea what was happening, these were people he has been with for a while, so it wasn't because they didn't recognize him, so he asked;

"Why, what's going on? I work here Theo, why won't you let me through? Come on."

He tried to go in but this time around, Theo stopped him with more force and retorted;

"The boss says you no longer work here, that you are fired and under no circumstances should we let you pass these gates or else we would lose our jobs, Warrick."

"What? Why? He has no reason to fire me, I have always done my job well, I mean I have always been loyal and hard-working on this site so why would he fire me?" He asked but got no response from Theo who shrugged his shoulders.

He was only doing his job so there was nothing much he could do.

He dialed his phone and called his boss to find out what he had done to deserve decruitment.

"Why did you have to fire me? I did nothing wrong."

"Who told you that? Of course you did something wrong else why would I fire you? You had provoked a very powerful man in this city and for that you won't get any jobs anywhere. They asked that I fire you or face difficulties in my company. I had to let you go, you are not worth all that trouble, keep in mind that you won't be employed in any part of this city, if I were you I would move someplace else, truth is, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes right now." His boss uttered and hung up.

Warrick was devastated and confused, it was like his cover as Warrick was about to be blown. First his wife left him and kicked him out of the mansion, secondly, his boss fired him and now he has no place to rest his head.

'Where will I spend the night now? I really need to lay my head it's been a terrific day for me.' he thought.

Then he suddenly remembered something and dialed a number.

He was feeling embarrassed but he just had to do it, as he needed a warm bath and enough rest.

"Hi Vivian, is it okay if I…"
