Bang! Bang!!

Two shots fired.

Man down.

One fool. One liar.

Flashback (10 years ago)

A group of armed men chased a young boy through the street.

“Hey kid, you better stop running!” One of the men yelled.

“Make me, Vecchio Sciocco (old fool).” The young boy replied while running endlessly, looking for an exit.

It seems as though he had stolen something valuable from them. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him, weaving through the streets, making it very difficult for the men to track him down.

It wasn’t long until he lost them, leaving them chasing shadows. He hid close to a big container, offering him shade as he dipped his hand into his pocket, bringing out a shiny piece of jewelry. The jewelry was shaped like a piece of diamond, and it glowed so brightly that he had to cover his eyes as he continued to observe the tiny jewelry.

“Hey, that's mine to give back.” A little girl said the girl was almost as old as the boy.

“I’m sorry, I really didn’t get what you were saying.” Enzo enquired curiously.

The girl points directly at the jewelry, which he had previously been observing.

“Nahhhh, mummia (mummy), I don’t think that’s going to happen,” he said, putting away the jewelry somewhere out of reach deep in his pockets.

“Please… please… please…” The girl continued to ask nicely.

“I know you’re pretty and all, but this is my paycheck right here, the boy said, lifting the piece of jewelry for her to see.

“They kill you. If you return the necklace, you don’t die.” The girl answered in English to the best of her knowledge.

“Ha… ha… ha… very funny. What are you smoking lately? I think you’re on cheap weed, don’t you think?” Enzo answered while chuckling.

“Hey here…. She is here! I found her,” one of the armed men yelled as he approached her.

Enzo, on hearing this, hurriedly hid the jewelry back in his pocket and was about to take to his heels. He suddenly tripped and fell, and before he could get his head up, one of the armed men pointed his pistol toward the boy on the floor and took the first shot, only to narrowly miss just a whisker away from his head.

Enzo was in shock at this moment and could not move, and the armed man reloaded his gun to take the second shot. He aimed for the boy's chest this time to decrease his chances of not hitting the target, but the girl ran between Enzo and the armed man, interrupting him from shooting.

“What are you doing, Antonella?” The armed man whispered.

This diversion created an avenue for the boy to escape, and he did not hesitate to take it. In a blink of an eye, he bounced up to his feet, busting through the air like a spearheaded arrow, and in a split second, he vanished.

Though he did not run far, he found a hiding place where he monitored the situation as he watched the armed man and his colleagues take the girl away in an SUV, followed by a few more security cars.

He then slowly approaches the spot again where he picked up the bullets, which missed him by a few inches. It was engraved underneath it, ”BT1992”.

“Bologna!” Enzo said out loud as he recognized the markings.

He recognized the bullet by De Ja Vu, put the bullet in his pockets, and leaves the scene.
