Navigating through the riotous crowd was a herculean task for Kakashi and Jay. Hanging on to the thread of each other's fingers, they dragged themselves to a respectable distance from where the murderer was subjected to his fate.

“How did we even get here?” Jay asked, stretching to see what everyone gathered in his front to also see.

“We walked right through everyone, that is how,” Kakashi replied with sarcasm that clearly Jay wasn’t in the mood for.

“Man, shut up. I think I see something” Jay announced excitedly. “Oh, oh. This doesn’t look good.” Jay struggled to find space to turn around. “Can you just move?! Please!” Jay shouted his frustration fighting to talk to his friend.

Frustration was never going to solve the problem, the students didn’t yield to the ‘scream’ he thought was let out well enough.

“Ugh!” Jay stomped his foot on the floor.

“Hey, watch it.” One of the gathered students warned Jay.

Jay looked at him from head to toe, her face wasn’t familiar. “How may I help y

Jiro’s imprisonment was felt by nature itself. Students watched as lightning rolled the red carpet for thunderstorms to steal the show. It was a roar like no other. The electric messengers touched the earth with their hands, showing their anger in the color of their appearance. The clouds gathered, shielding the direction from whence the next strike would come. The lightning gave a hint, but it was always followed instantaneously by the raging storm. Soon, lightning became the closest form of light in the heavens. It was far from night time yet, the atmosphere darkened with tears borne out of its anger falling. What looked like drops soon became torrents, and the birds hid in their nests - avoiding their flights from being canceled. “Hey!” Kakashi gripped the arm of the new commander as he walked by with urgent strides, forcing his body to turn around abruptly.“Do I know you? I need to be somewhere now, and I have to assure you that now is not the time to play around.” Kokohashi ai

Kakashi opened his eyes to the face of Suke, causing him to flinch. "We need to continue our training," Suke's hands stood on their heels on the table.Kakashi searched around for nothing in particular. His breath was sharp and loud."Can you hear me?" Suke inquired calmly.Kakashi nodded in affirmation."So you are willing to continue your training?" Suke confirmed"Mm-hmm," Kakashi nodded."Good. I spoke to your friend too, we will continue privately. Same time, same spot." Suke stood up from the table."Wait, same time?" Kakashi overcame his shock, finding his voice for the first time."Yes. Any problem?" Suke stared at Kakashi."Didn't the soldier from the other day mention how it is forbidden to be out of our rooms by that time?"Suke chuckled softly, waiting for the incoming students to pass by before delivering his response."Look at me," Kakashi held his gaze, "All you have to do is come. Do not burden yourself with any other thing.""Hey!" Kakashi called out.Suke grunted, K

The buildings flashed past him in his opposite direction, quickly vanishing from his eye corners. His chest pounded with the fast beating of his heart, his feet floating on the ground and his hands paddling his run. Soon he became content with his world, his breath steadying on the run. The heartbeat that drummed his chest louder and louder now gave way to the only thing he could hear - his breath. His feet squeaked on the floor before coming to an abrupt end. He didn’t need to catch his breath, but that was the least of his surprise. “Where am I?” His words mimicked his voice, resounding back off the giant walls of the wide landscape where he stood.“Hello!” He called for help. That was probably not the best thing to do. But what could he do? He looked around, and only then did he hear it play - a ragged box with a dancing doll spinning on it. He looked at each side of his with each step to the box. Everywhere was white and quiet, almost. The sound played louder in his ears. He

“I almost killed you back there. If I were a chaos monster, you would definitely be dead right now and it wouldn’t just be you, others would also be victims because of your absence of mind. What is wrong with you?” “Hey, hey Greg, stop it. Enough.” Zoa jumped in. “I said enough!” She had to hold Greg back to restrain him. “He is right you know. You have not been present all day. What is wrong with you? Are you okay? The mission is in a few days and you need to be present, we need you.” Zoa stooped to see Kakashi’s face.“I was not here for the last one, and I can still meet you. You all can survive without me.” Kakashi threw his face away. “Now… now that you are here, you would make it better for us. We will be less troubled and anxious. We don’t just want to survive, we want to be fine. Please Kakashi, whatever it is, just let me know. Please, okay?”“What is wrong with you?” Tanya left others behind to join in with them, “You don’t look yourself.” “I am fine.” Kakashi sighed.“Y

Kakashi took a deep breath; a sharp exhale escaping his lips. He looked around, nothing was out of place. The marble basin was squeaky clean. He touched his ankles, it confirmed he wasn’t hallucinating. It still hurt a bit. He shut his eyes to his mind reeling on the event. He looked at his savior, a grin covered his face. “Thank you,” Kakashi uttered, his voice inaudible almost like a whisper. Oz nodded. He was happy to be in the right place at the right time. “You are welcome,” he replied as an afterthought, walking out with satisfaction soaked in his smile. Kakashi flinched as the door swung open. He grinned trying not to look suspicious. He walked out briskly, “Enough of that for today,” he inhaled sharply, the presence of people. ‘How am I seeing these things?’ He pondered internally walking with a heavy heart full of a load of worries. A sharp turn around the pillar was the easiest route to finding Jiro. Kakashi needed to talk to someone. “I can’t continue like this,” he mu

The night was peaceful, Kakashi pacing inside his cell room with no idea why The Commander had been thrown into prison. Maybe he shouldn’t have engaged him in any conversation. Maybe he shouldn’t have sought out Jiro. He wondered why was he even here. A raider! He sent his frustration through the wall of his cell room, his fist came back in luck not to be in pieces. “Ouch!” He yelped in pain. “You do not seem to grasp the understanding of not going in first without a thought,” Jiro’s voice traveled through the shared walls of their cell rooms.“Jiro?” Kakashi chuckled, he could not believe his luck. “Wait, how did you know it was me?” “Who else is dumb enough to punch a marble wall?” Jiro’s voice was a bit distant now. Kakashi scoffed, the same as Jiro. “I came here for you, you know? A lot has happened since you were taken away. I thought you were an asshole, I am right, you are still one by the way. I just… let us just say I haven’t been able to live like I thought I would. Som

The night took on the responsibility of lighting up the darkness. The earth reflected the rays that illuminated their path, the green leaves of trees watered their bodies with each ruffle. “How did you know I was there?” Kakashi asked from behind Suke. “I know things Kakashi, I know a lot of things,” Suke strolled to the foot of the tower.“Uh… why are we going to the tower? Are we not supposed to move over to the Arena?” Kakashi was overcome with suspicion and doubt. His feet remained stuck in the mud of uncertainty and carefulness. “You can remain there since you have your suspicions about this. I will continue my climb to the top.” Suke responded climbing the stairs in stones elevating him and fading his voice. Kakashi glanced back, looking over his shoulders to be certain of their anonymity, “Why are we here? What is wrong with where we have always trained?” “You can go back to your cell, or come up here to learn new things. You ride out with the students and teachers tomorro

“What is he doing here?” “Why is he walking like that?” “He looks different. What is wrong with him?” “Is he fine?” “How about you all shut up and listen!” Master Yonda shouted into his speaker. His anger resounded through the school walls. “As I was saying before all the side talks and grumbling, you all have the day to go into this mission with the skill and knowledge given to you by this school. All that you know will be put to good use today, I hope. I know a lot has happened in the few weeks that have passed, but I have faith in you,” Master Yonda’s gaze fixated on his daughter, Zoa. “All of you. We wish to see you all back and well for the Annual Globe.” He laughed heartily, a few other faces didn’t share his optimism. “A few new faces will go with you all, you must have all seen them on the campus before.” Master Yonda pointed in the lineup of Kokohashi, Suke, and Oz, Jiro at the end of the line. Suke’s gaze locked with Jiro’s glare. Their stare was intense and malicious

“Hey Zoa,” Tanya rushed to catch up with Zoa’s fleeting feet. “Zoa!” Zoa spun around. “What is it, Tanya?” She shot Tanya a glare. “I don’t like what is happening between us. I am sorry for anything I have done. Please, do not go on like this. Let us come back to what we used to be. I miss you. I miss my sister,” Tanya’s voice cracked, her face dropped into a plea hard to say no to. Zoa stood, rooted to the spot. Her eyes lingered on her, tears forming around her eyes. She opened her arms, pulling Tanya into a warm embrace. Her shoulders warmed with Tanya’s tears as they held each other in that position for what seemed like forever. They basked in their embrace, unconcerned about the passing gazes that fixed on them, the urgent feet that marched or even the touch of the commander. “Zoa!” She snapped out of her stare at Tanya. Tanya stood, her eyes still droopy. She rotated to a halt as she came face to face with Kokohashi. “Did you hear what I said?” Her head tilted. Her face cont

The gates opened and the people left their mouths ajar.“How is he alive?” “What is he doing here?” “What are those with him?” Yonda rode into the place he once called home. It looked bigger and better. There were new structures scattered on widened grounds. He looked at the place he once lived; embers of fire heat underneath the huge smoke that went up to the sky from there. Huge men vacated there with black dust covering their bodies. Yonda continued deep into where their leader stayed. “Hi. Where is Master Ji?” Yonda asked the boy from the top of his vehicle. “I don’t know who that is.” The boy said and then ran away. Oh, okay. “Yonda?” The musical voice that called behind him sounded familiar. He turned around to see Maika beneath a hoodie. His eyes sparked, the memory of their last time time together filling him up with joy. “Maika.”“I thought you died.” Maika whispered. “Why would you think that?” Yonda asked. “Um, my brother said you were taken by raiders and there was no

The annoying laughter from below him echoed in the back of his ears. He groaned awake, rolling on the bed. His eyes were wary of their new surroundings, parting slowly. He helped himself to sit back, leaning on the bed frame. His eyes widened as she walked in from the other room, her body drenched in water. Her eyes were suppressed under the heavy weight of beauty that crowned them. She wasn’t naked but there wasn’t much left to be imagined. She caught his stare from the mirror. Damn. What is that smile? That is beautiful. His eyes darted to the door flung open. “Oh, I see you’ve met her,” John said to Yonda, passing his glance from him to her. “She is quite incredible, is she not?” He strolled in without a care in the world. Yonda took his eyes off his brother, and back to the girl in front of the mirror. Her fingers clutched her shoulder, backing the mirror with her head dropped. She scampered off, back into where she appeared like an afterthought. “Why did you just walk in? You

“There is nothing more I can say, John. You two are going to be great men.” Master Ji drew them into himself in an embrace. “Great men that will be part of the stories of the new world. You do not have to worry about the unseen. You have each other. You have a week, prepare your minds.” Master Ji dropped his hands, taking his time to climb the stairs back up. “What do you think this is?” John marched towards Yonda. “Is he trying to send us away?” “This is not something any of us possess an understanding of. It is certainly a mystery. But he has been training us for a long time—” Yonda’s words were interrupted. “Never have been trained to go on a mission. Never.” John jumped in. “Never, I agree with you. That makes this mission even more important now. There is something hidden within that we might not understand now. But I do disagree with you. The master loves us too much to ever want us out of his sight. He came for you without blinking. Alone. The master wants to see something i

John and Yonda hurried to his rescue as they took his hands, helping him up with ease."I can tell you, but I will rather show you boys what it is. Come with me." Master Ji walked ahead of them. Quizzical looks covered both of their faces as they marched behind their master."Where is this place, Master?" John called from behind."Be patient, my son.""Are you sure this is the way, Master?""Continue to follow me Yonda. Believe." Master Ji faced the wall, charging towards it."No!" Yonda and John rushed to pull Master Ji back. “What are you boys doing?” Master Ji dodged them, they dropped face-first into the ground. “Ow!” John winced. “What do you think you are doing?” “We wanted to save you,” John got up first, scrunching up his face as he held his waist. Yonda’s face peered from behind John. “You were going to hurt yourself. We had to save you.”

Master Ji stretched over Yonda to check behind him. "Where is John?" Yonda whimpered. "I said where is John?!""He is—he is," Yonda stuttered, pointing in the direction of the woods."He is where? The sunlight shone brighter, the spotlight illuminating her brightness more. She swayed her hips like she floated, without a burden. She turned, her hair spreading ecstasy. She smiled, and like a child in a strange place, he followed with a wide smile. His lips curved from one end of his jaw to the other. Because I don’t understand the prophecy you speak of.” Kakashi
