Chapter 18

A loud bang captured the curiosity of the readers within the walls of the library as its doors swung open with reckless abandon, shaking the very roots of the building.

Surprise enveloped the faces of all the eyes that anticipated the culprits’ entrance as the figures of Doctors Hiro and Haishi Aang emerged. The Doctors scanned through the corners of the library with their eyes as they walked forward with urgency.

“He is not here.” Doctor Hiro mentioned as his eyes almost completed a three-sixty-degree full turn around his head.

“Where could he be? We were assured he would be here.” Doctor Haishi Aang responded with a slight aggression in his voice.

“There he is.” Doctor Haishi shuffled backward as Doctor Hiro’s words halted his footsteps in motion.

They both walked hurriedly into the private room in which Master Yonda meditated. They exchanged glances as if to communicate each other’s uncertainty about how to break the master’s meditation.
