Chapter 23

“I am so so sorry,” Kakashi spoke through Jay’s shoulders.

“It’s fine. I’ve forgiven you.” Jay replied.

“Thank you, Jay, thank you.” Kakashi let Jay go as they broke off the hug, smiles creeping up their faces.

“Kakashi! You might want to see this.” Doctor Hiro’s voice alerted Kakashi.

Kakashi rued the interruption. He was having a moment with Jay, and the last thing he wanted was for this – an interruption, but the urgency in the voice of Doctor Hiro was too much to ignore.

He walked quickly with Jay behind as they got to where the doctor was. Doctor Hiro was fighting his hands into the fitting of the gloves, his nose mask already in place.

“Shouldn’t we not disturb them?” Kakashi halted the hands of Doctor Hiro.

“He said we shouldn’t disturb him, not them.” Doctor Hiro said, still hesitant about whether or not to continue what he wanted to.

“Ah aah!” Jay let out a scream as he saw the man floating above them, across the beds.

“Shh” Kakashi and Doctor Hiro uniformly hissed
