Chapter 25

Jay walked up to him and held him tightly in a warm embrace. He didn’t say anything, he didn’t know what to say. He didn’t need to say anything as his embrace communicated all he would have wanted to.

After a while, Kakashi finished sobbing and let himself out of the hug. He wiped his eyes with the back of his arms. He aimed to continue the story.

“You know you don’t have to do this, right?” Jay didn’t think it was necessary to continue what he had been through. Having to relive a day, such day, again. Phew... he couldn’t imagine the mental fortitude Kakashi possessed to even agree to narrate the ordeal so early.

Kakashi wiped his face with his palms. He called back the slimy liquid trying to exit his nostrils. He cleared his throat, then continued.

“The whole environment suddenly changed to a pitch-black, windy one. Thunderstorms rained amid the tornadoes and hurricanes. I watched them grow up, literally, from the ground up. They were just winds, then they became whirlwinds...” Ka
