The sky’s shadow grew bigger; its thick chunks of flesh travelled from opposite sides to gather in one accord as they cast their shadows over the heat from the light above. A loud chatter from far away chiseled into Doctor Haishi’s ears. His eyes overcame their shyness and let themselves open up gradually. They were in the woods. Light beamed from three tents, while some people slept on the ground and he could see two men standing, mugs in hand. The rain had stopped a few hours ago, but the trees’ inability to keep secrets would have informed you of the rain falling. Earth wasn’t left out as it became darker and soaked. Yoda ran to where the horses were kept. He peeped from a distance. His eyes scouted for Kokohashi without success. He looked at the horses, about three or four were missing. His breath warmed his face as he stepped out further. He saw Kokohashi’s back in the distance. He was riding on his notorious white horse. Two horses accompanied him from the back. He clenched his jaws. That should have been him.When he perceived safety, he came out fully from his hiding. He looked at both sides to check if anyone spied. He was satisfied with the results his eyes came back with so he marched toward the horses. The neighing and stamping of their hoofs got the horses’ caretakers concerned.
