Chapter 46

“Hi,” A familiar voice called out to Kakashi. He turned and a smile plastered instantly on his face. His smile was reciprocated and Jay ran toward Kakashi with his outstretched arms.

“Ugh,” Daichi rolled his eyes, expressing his irritation as Jay and Kakashi made up with a lasting hug.

Zoa and Tanya chuckled.

“We can give you a long hug too if you want you know” Zoa offered as she stretched her arms for Daichi to walk into.

Daichi rolled his eyes again, leaving Tanya and Zoa laughing even more.

Zoa Anju’s face took off its smiling facial muscles and replaced them with a flexible sadness that could pass as a frown.

“Are you all right, Z?” Tanya noticed the immediate change in Zoa’s facial expression.

“No. No, I’m not.” Zoa replied, almost in whispers.

Daichi sat up in concern over what might have caused the sudden dour expression on Zoa’s face. Maybe he would need the hug now.

“You know you can just tell me you need the hug from me you know? I am your friend; I will probably
