Chapter 61

The muffled sounds from the dead trees whistled past the hearing distance of Doctor Haishi as he turned to look around him for a movement. He had been moving on the hilly route with ease and although he needed to catch up with his troop, he was certain of his possibility of catching up with them.

He kicked the sides of his horse to generate more speed to run past whatever made the sounds he had heard. He still heard his stomach growl in protest of not being fed; he was left jealous as his horse reminded him of the fuel generated from eating as it powered up the speed it ran with.

Whoosh!

A whistling sound of force-fuelled hoofs projected by the flash movements, crunching sounds of breaking twigs, and the distance covered in seconds were testament to the incredible speed and ground-covering that Doctor Haishi’s horse left in its wake.
