"Wait, you paid an extra $20,000 just to get them out of the hotel?" Esther asked, raising an eyebrow. She hadn't expected Victor to go to such lengths.
"Yes, I want to teach them a lesson and show them that they are not on the same level as me," Victor replied, his arrogance evident.
Suddenly, a woman and the waiter returned to their table. The woman, dressed in an elegant black suit, spoke up. "Sir, I heard that you want to chase those ladies out of the hotel after they finish eating. Unfortunately, that won't be possible. They are customers here, just like you, and we can't discriminate against them. We will refund your extra $20,000."
Victor stood up, frustrated. "Why can't you do this for me? And you can keep the extra $20,000," he urged.
"Sir, that's our hotel policy. The only way you could have that authority is if you were one of the hotel's shareholders, which I assume you are not," the woman explained.
"I'll have to become a shareholder, then. I must humiliate Natalie and her friends today for what they did back at that restaurant. They're going to pay for it," Victor declared with determination.
"How can I become a shareholder?" he inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"I don't have that information, but you can speak to the hotel manager," the woman responded.
"Alright, get me the manager," Victor requested. The woman instructed the waiter to call the hotel manager.
Stephen, the general manager of the hotel, approached their table, dressed in a bright white suit. "What seems to be the issue here?" he inquired.
Natalie and her friends noticed the commotion at Victor's table and whispered among themselves. Natalie wondered aloud, "What do you think is happening over there?"
"We don't know, and we shouldn't care. Let's finish our dinner and go to our room," Tacha advised, trying to divert their attention.
Victor addressed Stephen directly, asking, "Are you the manager of the entire hotel?"
Stephen nodded, replying, "Yes, how may I help you?"
"I want to purchase shares in the company, and I want to do it now," Victor stated firmly.
Stephen paused briefly to make a phone call. After a moment, he turned back to Victor. "Yes, there are available shares, and the last ones cost a total of $1,200,000," Stephen informed him, seemingly impressed by Victor's determination.
Esther, who had been observing the situation, stood up and approached Victor. "Why are you so desperate to buy shares in the company? Is it just to chase your ex and her friends out? I hope you're not making this decision out of anger and revenge," she queried, bombarding Victor with questions.
"Yes, I can afford it, and I need to do this," Victor replied, his determination unwavering.
"Go ahead, then. I hope you're not making a hasty decision," Esther muttered as she returned to her seat.
"Give me the account where I can make the payment," Victor said. Stephen provided the account details, and Victor promptly made the transfer, showing Stephen the receipt.
"Congratulations, sir. You are now a 4 percent shareholder in the hotel," Stephen announced, extending his hand with a smile.
"Thanks a lot," Victor replied.
"I will make preparations for the paperwork and give it to you in the next 20 minutes," Stephen assured as he hurried away.
Victor turned to the front desk manager. "You saw that, right? I am now a shareholder in the hotel. Now, chase those ladies out of the hotel, in fact, ban them from the hotel completely!" he exclaimed.
"Okay, sir," the lady responded calmly before walking away. Victor adjusted his tie and took a seat.
"Now that they are going to be chased out, are you satisfied?" Esther asked calmly, though she felt disappointed that Victor had taken such a drastic step for revenge. She understood the pain of heartbreak but hoped he wasn't turning into a vengeful person.
"Yes, at least I will restore my honor and humiliate them just as they did to me," he answered.
Leni, the front desk manager, approached the table where Natalie and her friends were seated, accompanied by four imposing bodyguards dressed in black. "Escort these ladies out of the hotel!"
"What!" Natalie and her friends exclaimed in shock.
"Yes, the four of you are banned from this hotel and are no longer welcome here," Leni stated firmly.
"What? How? What did we do? We didn't do anything!" Tacha protested as she stood up. The others also rose from their seats.
"One of the shareholders of the hotel doesn't want you ladies here anymore," Leni explained.
"What? And who might that be?" Natalie asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Mr. Victor Garcia," Leni replied bluntly.
"Now, guards, escort them out of here!"
"What!" Natalie and her friends shouted in disbelief. They turned to look at Victor and Esther, realizing that Victor had been the one behind their expulsion from the hotel.
Victor wore a bright smile as he waved his hand in their direction.
"Victor! How is this possible?" Natalie demanded, her eyes wide with shock and her voice filled with frustration. She couldn't believe Victor had the power to have them thrown out of the hotel.
"Escort them out, please," Leni instructed, her tone impatient, and she walked away.
"Alright, this way, ladies," one of the guards said in a deep, commanding voice, pointing toward the hotel's entrance.
Natalie left her table, as if complying with the guards, but then rushed toward Victor, grabbing his suit collar.
"What's the meaning of this, Victor?" she demanded, her brows furrowed. She felt humiliated and couldn't accept that Victor was the one responsible for their expulsion.
"Let go of me!" Victor grabbed her hands, forcefully pushing her away from him.
"You and your friends deserve this for all the insults and humiliation you caused me earlier at that restaurant," Victor retorted bluntly, his frustration evident. His face reddened with anger.
"Victor, you are a worthless piece of shit. You might look all decent now, but that doesn't change the fact that you are a bum. I don't know how you became a stakeholder in the hotel or whatever it is, but this doesn't change anything. You are still the worthless man I dated all those months," Natalie insulted, refusing to back down, wanting to save face in front of her friends.
"Yeah, she's right. You are still a bum!" Tacha chimed in.
"I am a bum, but I just became a shareholder in this five-star hotel and just banned you and your mannerless friends from this restaurant. You know, I loved you, but after what you did to me in that restaurant, I never want to see your face ever again!" Victor yelled, his voice filled with anger and disappointment."Guards, take them out of this restaurant," Victor commanded in a stern tone."Ladies, please head toward the exit. Don't make us drag you out," one of the guards added in a firm voice."You're going to pay for this, Victor! I don't care who you think you are, but this is not over!" one of Natalie's friends yelled defiantly.“Yeah, you haven’t seen the last of me!” Tacha chimed in.The guards escorted them out of the hotel, leaving them standing outside with disgruntled expressions. This experience was one of the most humiliating moments they had ever faced."Who does Victor think he is? I can't believe he has that kind of power to kick us out of the hotel," Tacha complaine
Victor knew he couldn't reveal the truth about the system, so he had to come up with a plausible explanation. "I've been working as a cleaner at a software company for a few years now. Over that time, I managed to save up a decent amount of money, which I spent earlier. But I really do need a job. Although I bought shares in the hotel as an act of revenge, I can see it being a great investment, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes. So, please, is there anything you can do to help me?" Victor hoped that his fabricated story would convince Esther to lend him a hand."That's impressive. You know, if I had known the money you used to pay for our dinner was your life savings, I wouldn't have let you pay. Regardless, I can help you secure a job. I own a delivery company called Premount Delivery Company. Have you ever heard of it?" Esther asked.Victor's eyes widened, and his mouth fell open. Premount Delivery Company was one of the most reputable companies in the entire country and learn
"What if I don't want to go with you?" Victor asked, raising an eyebrow."Then you'll have yourself to blame for what happens next," Duke retorted. Victor swiftly yanked his arm away from Duke's grip and sprinted down the street."Hey!" Duke yelled as he gave chase. Victor had no idea where he was or why this stranger was pursuing him. All he knew was that he had to escape. As he ran through the unfamiliar streets, thoughts raced through Victor's mind. "Who is this guy, and why is he after me? What did I do to provoke him? I don't even know where I am. How will I find my way home?" Panic gripped him as he continued to flee.Victor stopped abruptly when he spotted an alleyway between two buildings on his left. Glancing back, he saw that Duke was about ten feet away. Without hesitation, he darted into the alleyway, emerging onto another street where cars sped by. He knew he had to cross the road."I need to cross this road, no matter what," Victor muttered to himself. Just as he was abo
Victor sat in front of a police detective, ready to recount his harrowing experiences. The detective’s name was Fred, as it was clearly read on his badge. "Tell me, what happened exactly?" Fred asked, folding his hands in front of Victor."What happened was that I was waiting outside a five-star hotel waiting to catch a cab and head home when the man pulled up in a motorcycle in front of me. He offered to give me a ride, but I found it suspicious and declined. He suddenly grabbed my arm tightly, I broke free from his grip and escaped." Victor continued explaining how the whole event happened up until he made his way to the station."Oh my word, that must have been an intense experience. I am glad you took the initiative to come straight down here; that’s smart of you," Fred commended with a smirk."Yeah, I figured he might know my house address since he knew where to find me," he replied."First of all, do you have any idea who he is or who might have sent him to you?" Fred asked, rai
They came down from the car and stood in front of the building. Fred took out his cellphone and went to the group chat as he dropped a message that he had arrived at the location with Victor. The COP replied that he should wait there with Victor, that a man will come and meet up with them, and that after the man arrives, Fred should leave the place.“Sir, are we going to go inside?” Victor asked curiously, staring at Fred.“Let’s wait for a bit; I am requesting backup just in case,” Fred answered. Victor nodded as he turned to look at the building. Suddenly he saw a tall man coming out of the building, and as the man got closer, he realized that it was Duke.“Officer, that’s the man! Arrest him!” Victor yelled as he looked at Fred. From the way Victor reacted, Fred realized that it was indeed the man who assaulted him. He wondered why the COP would want him to take Victor to a man who might probably harm Victor, but he didn’t want to lose his job or do anything that might offend the C
“I am not going to res….ist, all I want to know is, who is your boss? And what did I do to deserve all this?” Victor asked under his breath.“I am not going to tell you all of that; just know that you destroyed someone’s dinner tonight; that’s all you need to know,” Duke responded softly as he started untying Victor. After he was done untying him, he grabbed him from the chair and placed him on his shoulder as he rushed out of the room.Victor realized that the person responsible for all that is happening to him would be Natalie or one of her friends; he recalls humiliating them and having them thrown out of the restaurant, so he knew all that was happening to him right now must be a retaliation of one of them.***The following morning, Victor opened his eyes as a bright light shone into his eyes. He looked around and saw that he was inside a hospital ward. Since Duke carried him on his shoulder, he lost consciousness and couldn’t remember anything that happened after that.Victor tr
Victor folded his hands together, thinking about what he was going to tell Esther. He knew he had to tell her that he wouldn’t be able to show up for the interview to get the job, and he also knew he had limited time to complete the mission. What he could do now is plead with Esther and hope that she agrees to give him the job after he heals. He also hopes that he heals earlier so that he will be able to complete the mission in time, he thought. The doctor came and handed the phone over to Victor, telling him that he would wait outside the ward and give him 10 minutes to make his phone call before he would come back in. Victor nodded.Victor quickly dialed Esther’s number as she answered the call.“Hello, it’s me, Victor Garcia."“I know, where are you? I thought you said you were coming for the interview this morning." Esther knew that it was Victor because she had saved his number.“I won’t be able to make it. I had a terrible accident last night, and due to that, I lost my ability
Even though he had these doubts, he was still hopeful that something good might come out. This was the first time he felt hopeful in a long time.He thought of calling Esther immediately, telling her that he had secured the job, and thanking her. He picked up his cellphone and called Esther; she answered the call.“Hey, what’s up?” She asked calmly.“I got the job, and I want to thank you for helping me secure the job; you are the best,” Victor said with a lot of excitement in his voice.“Don’t mention it; I am glad you got the job,” she replied.“So, how are you doing? I hope you are feeling better. And have you gotten over your breakup?” Esther bombarded him with questions.“I am feeling better, and I have gotten over the breakup. I feel good,” he responded. Victor didn’t want to further involve Esther in his problems.“How about you? How’s your day going?” Victor inquired.“It’s going great,” she responded.“I have to get back to work. I hope to see you soon. Congratulations on sec
