BOOK 3 CHAPTER 21: WITHDRAWAL

With the two heroes already inside the bank, their main purpose will now take place.

“I would like to make a withdrawal.” Jessica calmly demanded to the bank teller.

“Name, please.” The teller says.

“Jessica Parker, Noble section.” Jessica replied.

The lady teller was surprised, as this is the first she will be handling a noble class transaction.

“Please head to the VIP room. The manager will be there shortly with you, thank you.”

Jessica also thanked the teller as the two of them went on their way to the VIP room which is at the end of the hall and near the entrance to the vaults. They entered the room and sat down on the couch. After a few minutes of waiting, the manager of the bank arrives and sat across them,

“Miss Parker, or should I say, future Mrs. Phoenix.” The old man says with a smiled on his face.

“Harold, stop with it. There are a few months before our wedding, don’t rush things.” Jessica says as she shared a laugh with the manager.

“How much are you going to withdraw now?” Harold asked.

“150 million, Harold, 150 million.”

Harold is surprised as this might her largest withdrawal yet. She only withdraws at least a million or two every two months, and yet, her she is. Withdrawing 150 million GAMs from the bank, this is something unheard of. And then, a suspicious stare Vincent received from Harold,

“Oh, don’t worry about him, Harold, You can trust him. Hey, take off your disguise, I already beeped Angelica about this.” Jessica nodded.

Vincent then nodded back at her then he took off his disguise and wore his glasses. The iconic glasses—the man who is one of the famous individuals today that wears glasses—

“Four-Eyes! It’s an honor, sir.” Harold then stood up and saluted at Vincent.

At first, Vincent is confused, but Jessica then explained it all to him. Harold Vega, the first man that joined the Amazonian Tigers and a former hero. He is the first of everything. Him being part of a all-women hero squad created a big controversy, however, despite all that, he still strived and became a well-known hero which is known as the Code Breaker. So, Vincent now understands why Violet and Jessica trusts this bank.

“It’s an honor to meet you also, Code Breaker.” Vincent greeted.

“It’s quite the opposite, Four-Eyes. You’re a sensation these days, you know? Creating waves after waves. I won’t be surprised if you will be given the name Code Breaker someday. However, I think you are now very fond of that hero name of yours.” Harold chuckled.

Vincent nodded. His name was inspired by the girl who called him this first. The word Four-eyes is supposed to be an insult or something that is used to bully others. But to Vincent, it’s not anymore. He took the name proudly and will forever be grateful to the little girl who gave him this. In any case, the two went to business. Hector is one of the ones who gives information about the gambling center, so Jessica told him why they had to withdraw this kind of money. Hector grinned as nobles do have a lot of money on their side. The manager then agreed to do it and immediately called for the vault to bring up a briefcase of money up the VIP room so that the two can resume in their mission. As they wait, Angelica went in the room. Hector stood up to bow to the noble, but Angelica went straight to Vincent and started retouching him to conceal his identity once more.

“Violet is very anxious on what you have to say with this withdrawal. I’m here not just to make Vincent up, but to also gather information personally since contacting through devices inside the gamble center is dangerous.” Angelica pointed out.

Jessica then explained that this is all Vincent’s plan. Angelica laughed as she and Violet thought the same thing. Only Vincent would be doing this kind of stuff—he’s a reckless idiot after all. But Jessica also pointed out that all of that reckless plans is getting them somewhere. They think that they are already gaining the trust of the other bosses. By giving them this money, their trust will grow, and with that trust growing, they would wound up closer and closer to the one running that place. It will still take time, though. But Angelica told them to not rush it. Especially, Vincent. Knowing him, he would want to finish the job already.

“I’m surprised that my brother is abiding the plans, although running off course sometimes. Thank you for keeping him on a leash, Jess.” Angelica grinned.

“I’m not a dog to be kept on a leash. Once I see the opportunity, I would do—”

“You will not be doing anything without Violet’s or my permission! Get that?” Jessica scolded.

“Just as I said, I would just sit here and be quiet.” Vincent replied.

Angelica laughed. Only Violet and their mom can scold Vincent like that that he’d just shut up and listen. Jessica is at that level already. But for Angelica, it’s a shame that these two would not end up together. And even if they did, she would bet her entire bank that the two will have never-ending arguments. Both of them are stubborn. Vincent is reckless and Jessica always follows the plan. It would be a crazy mixture if these two will end up together. In any case, after finishing Vincent up, the briefcase arrived. Angelica left with the information for Violet and the two then thanked Hector for his time as they then left for the gamble center to negotiate with the bosses. Vincent is itching to bring them down with his own fists, but he has to restrain himself. Because if they are to follow the plan, they would most likely hit two birds with one stone. It won’t be easy though. This will be the very first time that Vincent is going to be careful with his all-in-all decision and not be as reckless as he is.
