Chapter 6, Zelda.

“Why did you attack my son”.

Seeing the the line of blood on Elias‘s neck made Angel’s brows cross, the frown on her face further terrified shadow, “it-it wasn’t me, he attacked and kidnapped my young lady.”

Are you fucking kidding me, I didn’t sign up for this, at the moment this woman is even scarier than the lady of the palace. Shadow silent thought to himself.

Before Angel could say another word, Erika finally burst through the door of the clock tower and caught up to the group.

“What the hell happened here”. Erika saw a totally ravaged rooftop and a cloaked dark mage on the ground kneeling before Angel, he clearly seemed terrified, and at the edge of the roof a fourteen year old boy holding the hands of a cloaked little girl, what the hell did I miss?.

But before she could even finish digesting what was happening in front of her Elias decided to break her psyche.

“Mom, Just kill him already, that bastard almost hacked my head off.”

The moment Elias finished speaking, Erika that was about to step in to soothe the situation immediately swallowed back her words, “mom, she already has a kid, and he’s so big.” Erika thought to herself as she gazed at Elias with a dumbstruck expression.”what about the other one, they both can’t be her’s right.”

“No wait, pls don’t kill me, I was just following orders”. Shadow pleaded desperately.

At this moment Erika finally stepped forward,”hold on Angel, let’s first hear him out”. That was what she said but to Angel it translated as let’s first figure out who sent him, we’ll decide he’s fate depending on whether we can take them or not.

Naturally Angel wasn’t some hot headed blonde, the only reason he’s not six foot in the ground after injuring Elias was because not just anybody can have such a powerful mage look after their young lady.

But Angel decided its best to question him later on, after all her little sweet heart was bleeding, even though it was just a little cut Angel still wouldn’t feel safe till it’s safely disinfected and bandaged.

Angel’s eyes immediately lit up. and they all vanished into a large golden lightning bolt that shot towards Angels house, the clock tower finally couldn’t take it anymore and collapsed to the ground, thankfully people were already warned to avoid the tower cause of possible future collapse.

Golden light brightened up the block as the group appeared at Angels door steps, shadow had a chain made off lightning around him, clearly meant to prevent him from escaping.

Just as they were about to walk into the house Angel noticed that Erika seemed to be lost in a stupor.

“What’s wrong”, She asked.

“Oh no, nothing at all, I was just thinking that kids grow up so fast, you know”.

“What”.

“Anyway, I’ve got something to take care off, surely you can handle the situation right”.

“Yeah, it was nice seeing you”.

Unlike powerful mages like Angel and shadow, Erika didn’t vanish or devolve into the ground, she simply walked away like any ordinary human would.

After they went into the house the slow falling drizzle gradually became a raging downpour, Angel treated Elias’s wound while the cloaked girl sat in the living room with candy in her mouth. meanwhile, shadow was at the corner of the room with the lightning chain occasionally zapping him.

“Alright, take your friend upstairs while I speak to the shadow mage”.

Elias wanted to protest but after realizing the serious expression on Angel’s beautiful face he decided to give in for once, the kids finally left but that only served to terrify shadow even more.

“Who sent you?”.

Elias brought the cloaked girl to his room, the room was well organized unlike the room of an average teenage boy, the dead give away will be the action figurines and gun models on the walls and shelves.

“So what’s your name?”. Elias realized he didn’t even know the name of the person he’s been dragging around for the whole day.

“It’s Zelda”.

”Zelda”, Elias slowly repeated.

Elias couldn’t see her face so he didn’t really feel too talkative with her, but that wasn’t so for her. “Do you leave alone with your mom?”.

“Yeah, I do”.

“She’s really strong, even stronger than my siblings”.

The moment Angel was brought up Elias’s nose poked at the sky.”of course she is, she’s the strongest mage there is, I’ve never seen her lose to anyone”.

“Oh”. She replies. “I don’t sense the aura of a mage from you, why did she have you sealed instead of training you”.

“Sealed”. Elias didn’t know what she meant by that, but assumed she thought he was also a mage.

“Oh no, I’m not a mage, just an ordinary human”.

“How is that possible”. Zelda sounded surprised. “If your mom is a mage then you should be one by default, unless if she isn’t your biological mother”.

At this point Elias went silent, he always called Angel by her name as if trying to draw a dividing line between them that literally says. hey guys, she’s not actually my mom but just the woman that raised me, but for some reason when Zelda said the same thing it actually hurt him a bit.

Elias smiled to cover up how he felt on the inside. “Well lets not worry with the details for now, I’ll figure it out eventually”.

Zelda wanted to say something but she stopped herself, at this point it’s pretty clear what Elias felt. it’s almost impossible for ordinary humans to suddenly become mages, it has literally never happened before and that’s why they say “almost”.

“Anyway, you said you couldn’t sense any mana from me, are you actually a mage as well?”.

“Yes, I am”.

Elias was actually just teasing her but he didn’t think she actually was, and such a young one at that. He’s eyes went wide in awe, How the hell did you become a mage?.
