Chapter 40

Philip went back to his house after dropping Carla off and slept. It was how he made up for the nights he spent drinking and staying up late into the nights.

He had not gone very far into his slumber when his latest Phone rang out loudly. He groaned in his sleep and stirred awake to pick up the phone. He opened one eye lazily and checked the caller. It was his Father. Mr Churchill.

"Ugh... Why now?!" He groaned. He hesitated for a few moments before he finally picked it up.

"Hello Dad." He greeted.

"Where are you?" The stern voice boomed, making Philip move the phone from his ear because of how loud it was.

"I'm on my way to the office." He lied.

"You're lying Philip. I know you're sleeping in your house." His father answered, a bit enraged that Philip was sleeping during office hours.

How was someone like this supposed to manage the company in his absence? Mr Churchill knew that the success of his company was at stake if Philip kept behaving like a spoilt kid every damn time. He was
