Encounter with Biological Father

Before he passed away, the man wrote a letter that is now in Matthew's possession, who was also present in court to testify.

Upon hearing of the man's death, Thomas became angry and exclaimed, "Damn!" He tried to leave the courtroom, but his lawyer held him back. Nevertheless, Thomas had to attend the trial as he was the one who implicated William in the death of his father-in-law.

Matthew looked at Thomas cynically, holding the letter tightly in his hand. He realized that the contents of the letter could change William's fate in this trial.

"I won't let Mr. William rot in prison for this accusation," he said. He would fight to free William from this charge as a redemption for his past sins.

The judge began questioning William about the events surrounding his father-in-law's death. William honestly stated that he did not commit any heinous act against Mr. Patterson that resulted in his death.

After a while, Matthew stood up and was allowed to testify. He gave an account of the contents of the letter left behind by the man who claimed to be William's subordinate. The letter confirmed that William was not involved in his father-in-law's death, but rather it was an accident caused by a faulty car brake. Matthew testified in court to help free William from the legal entanglement.

Because of that letter, the judge declared William innocent in Mr. Patterson's death case. The 32-year-old man breathed a sigh of relief after being acquitted. Meanwhile, Thomas was furious when his brother-in-law was set free. He wanted to see William's downfall and

watch him rot in jail. However, fate had other plans.

The trial concluded, and the journalists, reporters, and attendees left the room. William also exited with Matthew and two policemen trailing behind him.

Meanwhile, Thomas walked up to him, glared at William, and said, "What have you been planning all this time?!" He was so angry to see William free, her plans fell apart at once.

"Why would I be the one to blame if I'm set free? You're the one who trapped me, right? Is this an reason to cover up your affair with Bianca, huh?" William didn't back down from his brother-in-law, instead, he threatened Thomas for his affair with Bianca.

"I swear, I will get back at you and the Patterson family for everything!" William then left with Matthew after making his vow. He would always remember the badly treated he received.

Previously, William expressed his gratitude to Matthew for helping him out. The middle-aged man promptly invited him to go somewhere to meet someone.

"Where are we going?" William and Matthew left after the hearing ended.

"You'll see for yourself, Sir." Matthew didn't give a definite answer about where they were headed next. They got into the car together and headed towards the Crown Towers Melbourne hotel, a five-star hotel overlooking the Yarra River. There, they were warmly greeted by the hotel staff. William felt flattered by their service, as he had always been belittled before. Perhaps, this was the first time that William felt respected.

"Please come in, sir. Someone's been waiting for you." They arrived in front of the meeting room on the third floor of the luxurious hotel. Matthew gestured for William to enter first, nodding as he walked into the room. The interior was opulent, with a view of the Yarra River through the window. A man was sitting in a wheelchair, enjoying the stunning scenery in front of him.

William looked awkward as he realized he was alone with the old man in the room. He wanted to greet him but hesitated. The old man turned in his wheelchair, looking at William with a piercing gaze.

"Are you William?" The old man asked with a stuttering voice.

“Yeah, I’m William.” He slowly stood up from the wheelchair, almost falling, but William quickly ran over and supported him.

"Are you okay?"

Suddenly, the old man hugged him tightly. "I've missed you so much, William."

Matthew told you? I am your biological father, William." Hearing this, William's body felt stiff, he squinted at the old man, who was none other than Hendry, his biological father.

He let go of Hendry's embrace and stared at him closely as if he couldn't believe it. Without saying anything, William hugged his biological father again.

"I've heard everything from Mr. Matthew, Dad." He cried, feeling like it was a dream come true for him. William's meeting with his biological father left an emotional impact on both of them. Hendry had been living in anxiety because he didn't know where his son was. Especially when Matthew disappeared, he was like a confused person. Living in loneliness made Hendry suffer. After meeting his son, he promised to never let him go again.

"I'm sorry, Son. I've sinned against you." Hendry cried with regret, but he couldn't do anything back then. He was worried that Roemy would harm William who had just been born.

"Dad, you don't need to apologize to me. Let's leave everything in the past, the most important thing is that we've met now." William wiped his tears, and his happiness was radiating from him.

Not long after, Matthew entered the room and accidentally saw how happy they were to meet each other. He felt relieved to have reunited them.

They then had a serious talk, and Hendry had also brought his lawyer along now.

"William? You're the sole heir to the Frank family, I hope you can manage it well." Hendry advised his son, but William was a bit puzzled. "Dad, don't I have a brother? Or a sister?" His father shook his head. After his wife passed away, Hendry chose to remain a widower until now.

"Your mom's love for you is so great. It's very difficult for me to remarry, let alone have children with another woman." William was touched by his father's loyalty. Hendry was now his role model. After that, the lawyer sitting next to Hendry began to produce some important documents. The lawyer asked William to read them first and then sign the important documents.

As he read them carefully, William was astonished. The important documents explained several assets and companies owned by William's father, which would be passed on to him. Meanwhile, William never thought that his father's wealth exceeded that of the Patterson family.

Three parent companies and twelve subsidiary companies spread across Australia made him surprised. A business run in the real estate sector. Then, William thought for a moment, "Dad? Do we own all the malls in Melbourne?"

"Only forty-five percent of them. Some of them belong to Dad's friends and also belong to the Pattersons." William fell silent when he heard the name "Patterson" again.

"By the way, aren't you marrying into the Patterson family? I'm so happy ..."

"Stop talking about that family, Dad!" He looked so disgusted hearing it, making Hendry confused. "What's wrong, William?" He explained that he had been mistreated by the Patterson family all this time. What's more painful, his wife had an affair with his brother-in-law. Hearing this, made Hendry surprised and almost disbelieving. However, all of these confessions were spoken by his son.

Slowly, Hendry approached his son, "If you don't accept all of this, seek revenge, William. Don't let them have fun after trampling on your dignity."

"Of course, Dad. I will retaliate for all their actions and make the Frank family number one in Melbourne!"

A few days passed, and Bianca filed for divorce from her husband, William. The woman contacted William and asked him to meet at Bonnie Coffee, a famous cafe in Melbourne. William agreed to it.

"What a loser! What time is it?!" William's arrival was greeted by Bianca's yelling at him. William intentionally came wearing simple clothes. He wore a red T-shirt and black pants he bought from a thrift store on the street corner.

"Sorry, I had some business to take care of earlier." Although the shadows of Bianca's betrayal echoed clearly, he tried to be nice. However, Bianca didn't care. The beautiful woman immediately handed William the divorce papers and a pen.

"Sign it quickly!" Without any protest, William immediately signed the divorce papers. Bianca looked happy at that moment. With her arrogant style, she said, "Finally, there are no more losers in the Patterson family."

Currently, the Patterson family's parent company has been taken over by Thomas, removing William from his previous position as CEO.

"In two days, attend our divorce hearing because I can't wait to separate from a loser like you!" Bianca then quickly left because her business with William was over. This time, William would follow their game.

In the Patterson family, a few days after William was no longer part of their family, the whole family threw a festive party attended by their friends and colleagues. Thomas also promised his mother-in-law, wife, and sister-in-law to go on a vacation to Hawaii.

The next day, Mrs. Patterson and her two daughters looked enthusiastic to go to the airport. Bianca was supposed to go, but the woman just came out of her room with a pale face.

"What's wrong with you, Bianca?" Arianna asked, and Bianca informed them that she would not go to Hawaii.

"I'm sick. Today, I have to go to the doctor. After all, I have to take care of my divorce with William." Meanwhile, Thomas didn't join them with the excuse of having a lot of work at the office. Finally, Mrs. Patterson and her two daughters went on vacation alone. They went to the airport to fly to Hawaii, while at home, only Bianca and Thomas were left. They intentionally didn't join so they could be alone without any disturbance from anyone.

Unlike them who are enjoyin' their affair, William now seems to be actively runnin' his old man's company. He's done gone and become the CEO of one of their family's parent companies. William's currently in a meetin' with his colleagues. However, there's one topic that's caught William's interest.

"Is Patterson Asset Management really gonna go bankrupt?"
