Take Over of Company

"This has become my absolute decision! Nothing can change it except for me! Do you understand?"

His decision cannot be challenged, William will take over the Patterson family's parent company and manage it.

The 69-year-old man then took a sip of wine and said, "Y’all don't know how Thomas works, do you? You only know his victories without knowing how he works!"

Even though Mr. Patterson knows Thomas's cunning ways, he still lets his son-in-law do something bad at the family's company. Thomas has several times embezzled funds from one of the Patterson family's subsidiary companies. That's why Mr. Patterson will not entrust the parent company to Thomas.

"Stop accusing Thomas of wrongdoing, Dad! I believe Thomas has never done anything bad! He's a good man! We've always known Thomas always brings good name to our family! Unlike your chosen son-in-law here!" The blonde-haired woman immediately pointed at William with a red face because of her anger spilling over.

"You don't know what happened, Arianna! You've only known shopping and spending money all this time! So, stop talking." Mr. Patterson shouted and slammed the table because he was angry with his eldest daughter's attitude.

"I'm disappointed in you, Dad!"

Arianna was not pleased, the slender woman left the dining room with her angry steps. Seeing his wife leave, Thomas ran after her.

"Babe! Wait for me!"

"You've really gone too far, dear. At least you should have talked to me and everyone else about this first!" Mrs. Patterson was also angry with her husband's sudden decision and the fact that he didn't discuss it with her beforehand.

"Why bother discussing it with you guys? I'm sure you wouldn't approve," said Mr. Patterson as he enjoyed his dinner of a wagyu meat-topped lasagna covered in melted cheese. The elderly man didn't pay any attention to his wife's objections.

"Of course not!"

Mrs. Patterson left the dining room, followed by their second daughter, Nikki.

So did Bianca, one by one they all left the dining room. The once warm scene was now eerily quiet with their departure.

"Bianca?" William got up from his seat, trying to stop Bianca who was also heading to her room. But Mr. Patterson held him back.

"Let her go, William."

William hung his head, feeling down as he realized he's caused another rift in the Patterson family. He wanted to refuse, but he knew that Mr. Patterson would not approve. He didn't know what to do at the moment.

"But I have to talk to Bianca now! Excuse me." William got up from his seat, running up the stairs to Bianca's room to talk to her. He needed to explain everything to her.

"Bianca? Please open the door, Bianca!" The man asked his wife to open the door as he couldn't, since it was locked from the inside.

There was no response from inside, but William continued to knock on the door and asked Bianca to open it. Meanwhile, Bianca was angry that she was being blamed for being involved in this matter. The long-haired woman walked up to the door and opened it harshly, making William, who was leaning against the door, fall.

"Are you satisfied with making me suffer?!” Bianca stood in front of William, who was trying to get up after falling.

"It's not like that, Babe. I can explain this..."

"Stop calling me 'Babe’', I'm sick of hearing it! Sleep outside tonight!" After opening the door, Bianca slammed it shut again and let her husband sleep outside tonight.

"I'm asking you for a divorce, not to take over the company! You're really making me sick of it!" After opening her bedroom door, Bianca slammed it shut again and let her husband sleep outside tonight.

The morning scene in the dining room was empty, only Thomas and Mr. Patterson were there. Meanwhile, Mrs. Patterson and her three daughters did not have breakfast in the dining room. The mother and her two daughters had breakfast using croissants in the swimming pool area on the roof of their mansion while enjoying the warm morning sun.

Bianca was still holed up in her room because she was embarrassed by her sister because of the incident last night. The long-haired woman seemed to be thinking about how to explain if she didn't get involved in the accusations that Arianna made against her.

"Thomas?" The middle-aged man who was spreading chocolate spread on a slice of bread called his nephew who was having breakfast with him.

"What's up, Dad?"

"Do you know if there's a problem in Brookfield because of embezzlement?" Mr. Patterson asked, but he didn't even look at his nephew and still enjoyed the bread with chocolate spread on it.

Suddenly Thomas looked tense, his face was so stiff and he stopped eating when he heard his father-in-law's words, "I-I don't know, Dad." The man replied with nervousness.

"I thought the embezzlement was done by you." Hearing his father-in-law's words, Thomas, who had just swallowed his food, immediately choked. He immediately gulped down his mineral water.

Meanwhile, Mr. Patterson appeared relaxed while finishing his breakfast.

"I will investigate this matter, Thomas. I won't let you keep draining the wealth of the Patterson family for your personal gain! If it turns out that you were indeed responsible for the embezzlement in Brookfield, I won't hesitate to kill you." The 69-year-old warned his son-in-law. There has been embezzlement at Brookfield Property, which is their first subsidiary, and today the older man will take matters into his own hands. Meanwhile, Thomas was angry with his father-in-law.

Not long after, William came wearing in formal attire, walking towards his father-in-law.

"Wow, William. You look even more handsome than Thomas."

William's father-in-law invited him for breakfast, but William declined, "I'm going to eat out. I really want to eat instant noodles later today." Thomas laughed hearing William express that he really wanted to eat instant noodles.

"Do you want to eat by the side of the road? Remember, William. You're not a vagrant anymore, you're now a part of a distinguished family in Melbourne." As if mocking him, William remained silent. The naive man couldn't argue with him. Despite being often oppressed, William never fought back or attacked them.

"It's better if you keep quiet."

Mr. Patterson got up from his chair, inviting William to head to the office this morning. They both drove a flashy, sporty-looking luxury car.

Thomas was still in the dining room alone, feeling annoyed because this morning he was completely cornered by his father-in-law, especially compared to William, who he considered a loser, "That old geezer has gone too far! Just wait, I'll give you a gift you'll never expect."
