" Could he be dreaming? Hell no!" He quickly rubbed his eye with the back of his palm. Probably the cries had affected his eyesight since it's been long since he cried.
He stared around, noticing nobody was looking in his direction. He stared at the phone for the second time and it happened to be true.
"Could it be a mistake? Who would have made the mistake of sending such a huge amount of money to my account?" He questioned himself but could not give a response to his inquiries.
After thinking for a while, he concluded by going to the police station to lodge a complaint cox If he guesses that luck was on his side and begins to spend the money, what will happen if the money is later traced to his account and he gets arrested for such an indecent act? He may not have money but won't do anything that will tarnish his image.
He wanted to continue walking when his phone began to ring.
He checked for the caller ID and it was an unknown number.
"H-he-hello" his voice was failing him but still managed to compose himself.
"Young master" the person called.
Adrain instantly removed his phone from his ear and made sure to check the caller's identity again.
"You must have mistaken Me. I'm not your young master. I'm Adrain Donald" he replied, trying to explain himself.
What's happening to me today? He thought within.
"I know who you are and I'm not mistaken. Hope you have received the alert?" The caller asked again.
"Yes, but I'm sure there is a mix-up with both names and the alert. Please, feel free to go to the bank to rectify it, thank you" With that he disconnected the call.
He let out a sigh of relief before continuing his journey. He had nowhere to go, rather than the shattered apartment, where he once lived. But since there was no other choice, he had to go back there.
He was feeling hungry and was trekking at the same time. He checked for any available cash and all that was found was a hundred dollars, which cannot buy him good snacks and drinks in that street, since it's a place mainly for the wealthy people.
Suddenly, a car parked by his side and he immediately stepped back.
"Is the driver blind? Why would he choose to park very close to him? Does he wanna get him injured? Going to the hospital is the worst thing that could happen to me at this moment" he murmured inwardly.
The driver's door opened, and stepping down from the car was a young man in his late thirties. He was wearing a black tuxedo suit, coupled with a black shoe and his Golden wristwatch perfecting his dress.
The young man rushed to his side and bowed to him.
"Young master, it's time for you to go home," the man said, making Adrain wonder if he was referring to him.
The man noticed the confusion and fakely cleared his throat to get his attention.
"I'm the one that called you. I noticed you were shocked and decided to come and pick you up by myself, Instead of sending you the address" the man explained
"Wait, you are getting the whole thing wrong. I'm not your young master for goodness sake! Can't you see, I'm just a lowlife student that is striving hard to meet up with life" Adrain half yelled, getting frustrated Already.
"I understand you clearly and I'm very sure of who you are. If you get there and I found out that you are right, I'll apologize and you will be compensated for it. Moreso, my name is Rohan, young master" The msn furthered explained.
When Adrain noticed that he wasn't gonna give up anytime soon,h e decided to follow him.
It was his first time in such a big car. He hasn't entered any private car in his entire life and to be sitting at the back of Royce -Roll gladden his heart. He was used to public buses and taxis, once in a while if he missed the bus, which always cost him more.
" I hope all these ain't dreams at the end of the day" he prayed then slept off.
The journey lasted for one hour before the car finally halted In front of a White painted mansion.
"Young master, we are home" Rohan announced while he opened the door for Adrain to get down. He stepped down but in a weary state.
"Oh my goodness!" He exclaimed when he finally saw the mansion.
"Follow me, sir" Rohan instructed. Adrain was perplexed by the beauty of the house. He has been seeing such a mansion but only when he was watching movies, he couldn't believe he would have the chance to enter inside one of those mansions.
The mansion workers that lined bowed down when he was sighted.
"Welcome home, young master" they all greeted. Adrain opened his mouth to utter but words failed him. Everything was still appearing like a movie in his eyes.
In the end, he chose not to retort and calmly followed Rohan inside. He was still admiring the beauty of the sitting room when the door opened, revealing an old woman that was walking with crutches.
"Adrian, oh my grandson!" She cried out.
Adrain stared at her from head to toe and he was sure he hadn't met Granny before.
"Who are you and how do you know me? I've been confused since morning, kindly explain what is going on please" he pleaded.
The granny offered him a seat and asked one of her numerous maids to get him pineapple juice.
"How do you know I love pineapple juice?" He questioned again.
"Calm down my grandson. Your late father also loved pineapple juice. I'm your grandmother and you are my only grandson. I brought you in today coz it's fine for you to be managing our family company as the only survivor left in the Wilson family. Have it in mind, we ain't the usual Billionaire family but we control trillions of dollars" she dropped the bombshell.
"Wait, I don't get you. You mean I'm a descendant of this family. I'm a Trillionaire and I've been suffering for the past twenty-two years of my life? How come? Isn't that wickedness of the highest form?" He ranted while the granny only laughed.
"I'll explain everything to you in full detail. Firstly, I'm very sorry that you had to go through all the pain. Your father tried his maximum best to build the company like your later grandfather did but his life was cut short when he had an accident on your second birthday. Through investigation, we got to know that the accident was planned and the culprit was out there. To save your life, I took you to the orphanage and told anyone who asked for you that you have died. It's just a way to save your life from the enemy. I didn't want to lose you like I lost your father" she explained and used a tissue to clean the tears that were dropping on her face.
"What about the culprit?" Adrain asked.
"Fortunately, two have been caught and are currently in prison but why wouldn't voice out to tell us who exactly sent them to kill your father" she responded
"You haven't talked about my mother, did she also die along with my father?" He further questioned.
"Nope, she is still in a coma and we are hoping that she will regain her consciousness. I've never abandoned you, Adrain. Why would I do such a thing? I was there during your basic graduation, high school graduation, and also, on your eighteenth birthday when you left the orphanage. I was also aware of all that you are going through in your school currently, which I'm deeply sorry for but it's for the best according to your grandfather" she apologized.
"Can I see my mother? I want to see what she looks like" he added again.
"Sure, you can see her and I'll be glad to take you to her when you have taken enough rest. Also, here is a gift from your late grandfather that died two years ago, he wished you could use it wisely when need" With that, she handed a book over to Adrain, who kept staring at it but was lost.
"You will soon understand the uses. Adrain, I brought you back home for very important things. The Wilson Group of companies is the second biggest company all over the world and was passed from your forefathers down to you. I want you to take over it and manage it well, hoping it will become the biggest company. Secondly, your father's killer is still out there, unknown, so I want you to look for him, then avenge your parent's loss. That's all" Granny uttered with a more serious note, making Adrain swim in an ocean of confusion.
"My parent's lost?" He asked to be sure of what he heard.
"Yes! And your work starts immediately!" She finalized the decision.
