Unknown truth

The Tukira  tree was an ancient tree, planted by an ancient priestess in the village of Surili, during the demised fall of their village.

The Ancient tree purifies the village from evil and glows up at night; symbolizing the strength of the powers and life the priestess possess.

The power moved on  from generation to generation till the last priestess was born.

Many years later, a powerful hybrid Known as Athan recently got transfer to the Legacy college.

He possess powers unknown to human and could kill them without laying a finger on them.  While Ivy, the recanated priestess of kirochi, led her life as a normal girl in the city and also a student of the legacy college.

Athan POV

The school was a bit weird and a bit different from a normal school.

The pictures of the missing students of legacy, increased in the school report board each and every single day. No one could point out what was the cause of their disappearance. 

After school, I strolled down the hallway with my hands deep in my pocket.

Couldn't get off the thought of what the  students might have undergo.

my world suddenly stops, when she walks right before my eyes. My breath cut off with a gasp.

The girl I had constantly see in my dream was actually real.

The world became silent except the scrunching sounds of the wind that blew across my ears.

A smile lighten up and crinkled her face.

I breath in her scent from afar, almost finding comfort in it.

Suddenly, I had a flash vision, of  a failed brake vehicle ,smacking her to death.

"Watch out!" I shouted, moving her out of the way, till she pounce on the side of the road. I stared into her eyes dump stroke by her beauty.

" you...you saved me, tha...thanks"she stuttered.

Don't mention"I smiled and assisted her up her feet.

A delighted grin transformed her features flinched at her tone.

"How did you know that bike was going to hit me? you saved me, right before it crashes" she muttered, stunned by the incident.

The hesitant smile on her face blossoming into an enticing grin as she began talking.

I knew my heart couldn't occupy space for love, but the girl in my presence was giving an opposite vibe.

"My name his Ivy" she smiled and leaned her hand forward for a handshake.

"call me Athan" I replied and received her hand.

"You have such beautiful eyes.

Are those real? Cause they are constantly changing colours"she muttered coming closer to me and stared profusely at my eyeballs ,which fluttered to different colour by every gestures I make.

I didn't want her to have a hint of my Identity. I couldn't risk it.

"See you some other time Ivy "I said ,ignoring her questions and walked my way to the car.

While ivy stood still, with are gaze fixed on him.

"Athan " she uttered his name and squeeze his wrist watch that fell from his wrist ,tight on her palm.

"We would meet again" She muttered and curved a smile on her face.

Ivy POV

"Wake up sleeping head, or else we gonna be late for class!" Sera yelled and opened the window making the sunlight beam through the surface of the room.

"Is it morning already? just give me 5 more minutes, still very sleepy"I  wailed. 

"You were busy searching for his social media handle all through the night."Sera uttered as she raised her eyebrows.

His life is so private. Couldn't find his social media handle in every platform; Like he doesn't exist.

Oh mine! His watch"I stormed up from the bed and searched his watch in my bag.

I gasped in relief after finding it.

I stared at my image in the mirror  and couldn't continue with the pretense I  accustomed aside. finding it hard to understand the dreadful nightmare of me, running in tears. "have such invent encounter in my life? or had I lost memories of some pathetic event."I signed.

But had no Idea or hint of why the nightmare keep repeating itself.

I felt like something unknown was cursing my heart to ache in pain.

and my mind is shoved to the deepest darkness path of the earth engrossed with hell.

"why are you crying!  am ready to listen" Sera muttered, caressing my hair with her palm.

"I'm fine, I'm just having an eye allergy " I lied smoothly. And wipe off the tears on my face.

it was the same words I used, to prevent people from questioning my tears.

Didn't I  tell you to visit the doctor!?"she blurted in anger and flinched a frown on her face.

"It noting serious. Besides It almost 11:00, we are running late"I uttered and took a quick bath.

The school corridor was empty, the whole students were already studying in class. I couldn't think of a great excuse than to tell the professor I was sick.

I walked in to the  class room with my gaze fixed on the floor.

I wasn't able to face the wild stare the student gave. But was a bit courageous with Sera by my side.

Athan POV

I recently got to find out that I wasn't the only guy with powers.

They are few other guys in college that has similar powers as mine.

I could scent it through their blood.

My parents had already forbidden me in reviewing my powers and ability to anyone.

So it remains a secret to me and myself. Seems the necklace was preventing them from identifying my powers. But don't understand why my parent are hiding my real supernatural identity from me.

I could be a werewolve or a vampire; just don't have a clue.

This school is definitely more spooky than my previous one.

Students keep missing each and every passing day. Why are you both coming late?"The new professor asked and raised her eyebrows to the girls in front of her.

"I was really sick and still feeling dizzy"she said. Why the teacher look at them with so much pity and send them off to their seat.

I could sense the blood of a demon,coming from the professor.

"you should have stayed at home but now that you in school , you have to visit the nurse to be on the safer side."The professor muttered with a   grin. Despite how many times the the girls declined the visit.

"yes ma'am" Ivy replied in a low tone.

Ivy POV

Are you crazy! what just happened?"Sera narrowed her eyes as we took our seat.

"I Don't wanna ruin my reputation as a late addict, in the presence of everyone in class; not with that cute guy around" I scoffed.

"you such a drama queen"Sera smiled and rolled her eyes.

After the prefessor was done with the class, I felt it was the perfect  time to  return his watch and get to hang out with him.

There's is something special about him, Something connected to me.

I glance around the classroom and couldn't sight him anywhere near.

"Don't forget to see the nurse. You have to send the new professor your health status file cause he demanded for it" Sera reminded.

"I would be back."I said and walk towards the heath bay.

Immediately I entered ,the door slammed close, making my heart skip in fright.

It just the wind" I uttered calming the fear in me.

The cold chill of the presence atmosphere send shiver to my spine.

Hello! Is anyone here?I yelled and slowly walk into the patient room. But couldn't trace a soul.

" Hey!"A voice echoed from behind.

"you..you scared the hell out of me!

I yelled with my hand on my beating chest,and glanced at the professor in front of me.

"I...I  could not find the nurse" I stuttered.

oh really! I also work as a nurse in the school premises" She said as she flinch a grin.

I could tell for one bit that something wasn't right about this place. I wasn't comfortable with the woman in front of me.

She was acting a bit weird.

"So...am I gonna take a shot or something? or you gonna take my temperature? or---"My voice cut off by her snarl.

"Enough!.....you talk too much"she yelled and glared at me with horror.

She gave a loud laughter and wear off the human skin showing her true physical identity.

I pushed of the ground and heaved my self to my feet,limping the rest of the way to the door.

" There's no escape from the fate of death. The door is completely sealed. No human can escape "she groaned.

"who are you!? what....what do you want from me?" I stuttered crawling backward till my back hit against the wall.

"I'm sartura and all I want is your blood and your soul"she groaned.

I couldn't do anything but cry. Couldn't predict what was going to happen to me in the next few minutes." Am I gonna die by the floating creature in front of me?"I sobbed in terror as  tears run down my cheeks in rivulet.

I signed in extreme fear after gazing at a moving shadow at the right wall, which suddenly pop out of the wall, turning out to be Athan.

He wasn't a human!? Was he  actually a freak as this demon?"I narrowed my eyes in shock.
