Chapter Forty Two

The D-day came.

After Christian found his way to attend the event, he started feeling paranoid about the entire situation.

The mega companies present had a thing among them. Christian had a sudden low self esteem to find himself there.

After he was warned by Emily, he had his fear taking a greater part of him.

He stood by the window pane of his bedroom. He had a good view of the fields behind the mansion.

His hands were buried inside the pockets of his pajamas. The only thing that came across his mind was how he was going to gather all the courage he had so he could find himself there.

One chance, but a lot of risks. He knew that when he made a decision, it took the hardest reasons to fall out of it.

Apart from Emily's conversation, he was aware that Stephanie's father was going to be there. He never wanted to find himself around his in-laws anymore.

After pacing around the entire room, he made his choice. He was certain that was a good start to finding the solutions to his problem.
