Chapter Nineteen

Christian stood in silence for a moment as he considered his options. The bronze card wouldn't give him much time to explore, but the platinum card was far more expensive. He wanted to make sure he made the right choice.

Finally, he said, "I'll take the platinum card." He pulled out his wallet and retrieved his black card, decorated with intricate golden patterns. He offered it to the woman, but she seemed frozen in place, as if unable to move.

After a moment, she snapped out of her trance and reached for the card, a look of doubt flashing in her eyes.

Was the card a fake?

She glanced up at Christian, her expression unreadable. "You're sure about this?" she asked, her voice low.

Christian gave her a reassuring smile. "Yes, I'm sure. It's worth the price."

The woman's eyes narrowed slightly, but she didn't say anything more. She took the card from him and processed the payment, her movements slow and deliberate.
