Chapter 6

*Nighttime on the next day*

"Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Ana asked Felix.

"You trained me yourself, Ana. Why would you ask me such a question?" Felix replied to her.

"I know but... You're like a son to me. I don't want anything to happen to you. This mission was passed to you from nowhere and you weren't in training to ready yourself for it." Ana explained.

Felix faced Ana and took her hands in his, "I'll be fine. Trust me, okay?" Felix said to Ana.

"Okay," Ana replied to Felix.

Felix went to his bedroom door but heard voices which made him pause just before he could open it to come out.

"I can't believe Lorenzo left us in the hands of Felix. Dude only beat one person once and he's suddenly the favourite." the first said.

"Better lower your voice. We are right in front of his bedroom door. You don't know what kind of person he is. He might snitch to the boss." the second voice replied.

"Screw Mr Lorenzo. Screw Felix. We would not have remembered his name till now if not that Sami always putting him in his place kept reminding us that he existed." the first retorted.

"Shut up." the second urged.

Felix opened the door and suddenly there was pin-drop silence. One of the men rolled his eyes at Felix and thought nothing of it.

That was the one who spoke down of Felix before he opened the door. Unfortunately for him, Felix had something special in store for him.

"Keith, right?" Felix asked the guy.

"Yes. Got a problem?" Keith replied to Felix and the third person widened his eyes in shock.

The third guy nudged Keith with his elbow and looked at him with eyes that read 'Felix is under the boss's favour. Don't mess with him.'

Keith ignored the third guy and focused his gaze on Felix. Felix smiled like nothing was going on, which surprised Keith because Keith was sure that Felix heard the earlier conversation.

"Let's move," Felix said and led the way.

All three men entered a black car with dark windows and the driver, who was also part of the Mafia, drove them to the mansion they were supposed to sneak into.

They readied their guns and wore masks to hide their faces from people inside before they exited the car.

"Wait for us here," Felix told the driver before leaving with the other two.

They managed to get over the fence after using a plier to cut the barbed wires on it.

"The mansion is so heavily guarded." the third guy said.

"I can't believe that Mr Lorenzo sent just the three of us here. And of all people that could be leading the group..." Keith said, referring to Felix.

Felix ignored Keith's words and focused on finding a safe way in.

They followed Felix with each move he made until Felix stopped and signalled to an open door at the back.

A maid stood at a certain distance from the door and was busy with something.

Felix and the others took the opportunity and went inside the mansion successfully without being caught.

"Lorenzo said our victim's room would be on the third floor," Felix told the other two. That was exactly where they went to.

The door was guarded by four hefty men, two standing on each side and armed with their guns.

Felix went forward while the other two stayed a little distance from him. Felix hid in a good position and aimed a dart gun at one of the men.

Felix shot him with a tranquillizer dart to his neck and it only took seconds before the man in question fell unconscious.

That alerted the other three and they suspected something was wrong. They head up their guns and began searching around in silence.

Felix ambushed one of the men from behind and stabbed him with a dart.

The other two guards turned around and saw what Felix was doing. That was enough distraction for Keith and his second to attack those two from behind and stab them with darts.

They all looked at each other after all the guards fell unconscious and they went ahead to open the door but only to find a woman seated on the bed.

She was all dressed in black and had a face mask on.

Felix and the others had confused looks on their faces. They came for the senator but instead, there was a woman seated on the bed and watching them without an atom of fear in her eyes.

"What the..." before Keith could finish what he was going to say, the lady stood up and pointed a gun at him.

"Don't even think about it!" she warned when she saw Felix reaching for his pocket.

Felix put his hand into his pocket anyway and a round object fell out.

In that split second that the lady was distracted by the object, Felix charged at her.

Seeing Felix coming so close, she pulled the trigger at him but he hit the gun out of her hands before the bullet could come out.

The but ended up hitting Keith and alerting every security guard on the premises.

Felix put his arm around the lady's neck and tightened his grip on her neck.

The lady, in her attempt to set herself free, flipped over her shoulder but he landed on his feet and they got into a fistfight with both of them blocking each other's blows.

"We've got to go!" Keith's second yelled to Felix while helping Keith stay on his feet.

"Go ahead without me!" Felix shouted back.

Keith and the others left but Felix stayed back, determined to pin that woman down.

The room where the fight was going on was barged into and seeing that the woman didn't bother anymore.

She knew that Felix could not escape and she had finally caught one of Lorenzo's pets. Or so she thought.

Felix jumped out the window and glass shattered all around him. Everything moved almost in slow motion as he did it without even thinking of the distance he was from the floor.

Luckily for Felix, he landed on a balcony on the next floor.

Felix climbed down like a pro and the woman could only watch it happen from the window while the other men who entered the room rushed down the stairs to be able to catch Felix.

Before climbing over the fence, Felix turned and looked at the masked woman one more time.

He climbed over the fence and met the others. They all drove away as Felix thought of nothing else but that one woman.

Who the hell was she?
