CHAPTER FIVE
Vince and Emma stood at Emma's car after finishing their meals at the restaurant. She said while grinning. "Why do you act like that?"
He exclaimed, "What!"
"Are you serious right now?" She laughed.
Vince uttered after chuckling. A heartfelt "Thank you!"
"I appreciate the lunch. You truly brightened my day! You have no idea how much this means to me. He was grateful.
Emma wanted to laugh, but she smiled when she noticed how much the young man appreciated her kind gesture.
A smile that can win the hearts of thousands of men.
"If I were in your position, wouldn't you do that for me?" It was her.
Vince gulped down uncomfortably; he wasn't sure he could have assisted Emma if he had been in her position. Then, while still exhaling, he murmured, "Who knows?"
"I don't know if I would have done that, but I won't lie, people have different personalities, and characters," Vince said.
He added with a sardonic smirk, "But when I reach to your position or rank then I would know how to feel or behave if I were in your shoes.
"You're right!" She agreed.
"People think in various ways. If it were anybody else, I would simply respond in the same way. What if we are friends? I also had to pay for what I did previously." She clarified.
"Emma, would you like to be my friend then?"
He was genuine when he said that he had no idea what had drawn him to her.
Additionally, the idea of being turned down caused his heart to pound frantically.
If beauty is the deciding factor, Emma is more attractive than his ex-girlfriend Camilla. Emma was trustworthy and loyal to him for the little time he had spent with her.
As opposed to that,
His friend? Emma considered what she would gain from him if she agreed to become his friend. What does she think of Vince considering his humble upbringing? Without a doubt, he is kind, charming, and even attractive, yet the reality is
Will she be secure as his friend?
Will there not be naysayers? She came for a noble family, and wouldn't want to bring any reproach upon them.
She turned to face Vince once again, tempted to say no to his request, but his disappointed expression made her think twice.
"I agreed with everything you said. Even our backgrounds are different. The wealthy will always associate with the wealthy and not with the poor, as was implied."
"So I completely understand," he said, speaking through his sorrow.
"Nah! You don't need to say that, I genuinely would love to be your friend."
Emma, the granddaughter of a prominent Manchester figure who adores being his friend, grinned at him. He cannot be happier than this.
"Wow! Really!? He enthusiastically embraced her and exclaimed, "You just made my day, Emma.
Emma, on the other hand, was equally as shocked because she didn't think the person she had earlier ripped his clothes for would end up becoming her friend. But she couldn' help but smile while blushing as she noticed how happy his lovely face was.
"I'd have to go right now. Would you like to accompany me?" Then she opened the car door after asking.
[Tell her No, there is still an issue to settle.]
After hearing the system, Vince furrowed his brow. searching for the ideal lie to tell her. "I'd love to, but my friend's house is not far away"
Would you mind giving me your phone number, please?" He kindly enquire.
"Sure!"
The woman then provided Vince with her mobile phone number. She then climbed inside her car. "Be good!"
"Sure!" Emma only grinned as she pulled out of the garage, while Vince said, "I'll give you a call."
After Emma's departure, Vince was eager to see the system panel. His heart was pounding wildly. Fear that the system won't be accurate and dependable
Before his eyes, the machine beeped and popped up.
TING!
[Mission successful!]
[Medium Mission: Completed]
[Congratulations on completing your first mission! 5 Billion dollars and 4 points had been awarded!]
Even though Vince was surprised when he first arrived at the Hologram, he still had his doubts.
[Would you prefer the entire sum to be deposited into your account?]
As the system wrote, he reads it. "Hmm! How about attempting $1 million? He remarked, trying to determine whether the system would actually credit his bank account. "You know just for a start," he added.
[Withdrawal Processing…Please, Be Patient.]
[20%, 40%, 60%, 70%, 8o%, 90%, 100%]
[While awaiting the receiver. Reciever acknowledged.]
[3...2...1...Transaction Completed]
When the system beeped, Vince was already perspiring a lot. He also went a few minutes without receiving an alert. He was starting to doubt the Hologram.
SNOOZE!!
Instead of the system, the notification flashed on the cellphone he had been gripping tightly. He clicked on the message while his hand was trembling.
Next, he read;
[Your account that ended with XXXXXX6154 had been credited with the sum of 1 million dollars]
He stared at the notification for a moment before his heart seized and temporarily stopped pumping.
"WTF?!"
THUD!!
When Vince saw the notification, he stumbled to the ground and looked shocked and incredulous.
His heart was filled with a tinge of excitement as tears of joy streamed from his eyes. Who would have believed he would be able to see $1,000,000 in his account.?
He regained consciousness and rose from the ground. "Wow!" He murmured, then quickly logged into his account to make sure the alert wasn't an audio message.
To his surprise, though, the account was looking back at him with a balance of $1,000,000 in it.
"Fuck! I should have believed in this system. This is absolutely true."
"Okay, let's do it this way!" He said, still feeling anxious. "Transfer a billion dollars into my account," Vince asked the system once more to confirm that he wasn't dreaming.
The System immediately made another notification sound.
[Withdrawal Processing…Please, Be Patient.]
[20%, 40%, 60%, 70%, 8o%, 90%, 100%]
[While awaiting the receiver... Receiver acknowledged]
[3...2...1...Transaction Completed]
SNOOZE!!
His phone immediately made another notification sound. It arrived quicker than before.
Next, he read;
[Your account that ended with XXXXXX6154 had been credited with the sum of 1 billion dollars]
"Wow! It's true."
"It's absolutely true. I've gained $1 billion in wealth." Without caring about the weird looks from onlookers, he yelled.
He is now a Billion Dollars richer!
"What is wrong with him, exactly? He appeared to be insane?"
Vince heard them but chose to ignore it as he fixed his concentrated gaze on his phone. Then, a call came in, breaking his happy and thrilled state.
CHAPTER SIXThen a call came in, interrupting his joyous and ecstatic mood. After giving the unknown number some thought, he chose to answer the call. "Good day Mr. Vince Hutchinson, Gilbert Olmo, Manager of HSC Bank, is speaking." He said, while Vince rolled his eyes into their sockets and displaying a menacing grin. He was fully aware of their call's purpose. "We are pleased to inform you that $1 billion has been transferred into your account," He said."We appreciate that you chose the HSC Bank as your top option. You are among the extremely essential persons we have here, so we…"Vince became irritated as he realized how monotonous his brief conversations were growing, then he cut him off. "Gilbert, why are you calling me?" His voice was uninterested as he inquired. "I'm sorry, Mr. Hutchinson, but we need you in our office."Curtly, he asked, "For what?" "It's a questioning all about your account, and mostly, the transaction" "Fine…I'll be in your office in a few minutes.
CHAPTER SEVENVince looked up to the lady who had been shouting and wallowing in rage all this time as he instantly knew the voice. "Aubrey!!" He called out her name and the lady was shocked to see the person in front of her. She was Vince's step-sister, Aubrey Hutchinson. "Vince!! You're still alive." Despite the shock on her face, she scowled. God alone knows how unhappy she was to see him again. As Vince rose to his feet, his brow wrinkled. "You want me dead," "Are you seriously blind? Don't you see me coming?" Rolling her eyes, Aubrey Hutchinson yelled at him in a furious manner. Vince became enraged because he was sick of people making fun of him or treating him like trash. "Did you not see me approaching too? Why the uncivil behavior when we are both at fault here?" At her face, he spat back. When it came to the people she had hated, which included him, Vince knew she had always been that fiery. There was no denying that she was gorgeous and beautiful, with her eyes bla
CHAOTER EIGHTThe group of people continued to glare scornfully at Vince and had no intention of ceasing their shady words any time soon. Vince, meantime, was just staring at Camilla and Aubrey while thoughts of heartbreak and hatred, respectively, were racing through his mind. He was eager to degrade them. Only if they had known that things had changed, given the amount of authority and power he currently possesses, would they not have humiliated him in this way. He watched them closely as he crossed one of his legs over the other. He was currently only filled with loathing, hatred, and a desire for retribution. If the timing were right, he would make them regret everything they did to him but not just yet.Aubrey clapped her hands repeatedly in the air as she turned to face the audience. "Breaking news, everyone, this dickhead over here lost his job this morning." She laughed mockingly.Another round of snide remarks and taunting from the people began. "He is nothing but a paup
CHAPTER NINE"And what if I tell you that I'm one of the millionaires?" When he inquired, the bank fell silent and frigid at the same time. Camilla burst out laughing at the end of the sentence. She took a step closer to him. "Please tell me you're joking because I recall you only having $300 in your bank account, which you show me on your phone." She laughed after that. "And so? Change can occur at any moment, second, minute, hour, or day." Camila raised one eyebrow and smiled lopsidedly. "Where would you see Millions of dollars?" she questioned, "or don't tell me you turned into a thief overnight?" "Hey, Vince! If you are into stealing, I won't think twice about putting you behind bars." She added, followed by a loud hiss."Really! I'm sorry, but I'm not like you." He said, causing Camilla to blush in complete indignation and fury. "How dare you, Vince?" With her face twisted with wrath, Camilla spat. "You believe you can accuse me of stealing in front of the public? You'll
CHAPTER TEN.Vince tried to identify the name of the banker who had treated him well by focusing on the ID on his neck. "Mr. Barry, could you get her bank information? We must ascertain her worth." The banker nodded his head in agreement as he spoke. "Sure, Mr. Vince!" He replied and turned to face Aubrey, who was grinning menacingly. "Ms. Aubrey! Can I?" Aubrey rolled her eyes at him as he inquired. "You have my bank details with you; show it on the screen so everyone can see how valuable I am." She spat. Barry input her details on the bank site, as he was keen pressing the keyboard fastly. Barry quickly turned the desktop to the people as they were all concentrating on the screen. The amount of money shown on the screen matched what Vince had been told by the system earlier. '$7, 000,000'"Look at the amount of money in her account, see how wealthy Ms. Aubrey is." Aubrey did nothing more than smile as the bystanders began to compliment her. Vince simply grinned to himself while
CHAPTER ELEVENThe account number was quickly entered into Martha's system. She was eager to discover anything that would support the audio account's assertion. She checked the history bar, but she was unable to locate any transactions. Her brows furrowed as she stared intently at the screen. She turned to look at Vince, who was sporting a menacing grin. She complained quietly to herself because she couldn't afford to lose her work right now. Martha had the option to decline the bet, but she was in the mood to humiliate the unfortunate man. "I simply cannot lose my job in this manner. There has to be a remedy for this disgrace. Who is to say whether he had the cash?" She fixed her attention on the large number "100,000,000," which never seemed to leave her sight. "No information is available on his account. These could all be fakes."After giving it some thought, she got up from her chair and strolled over to Barry's counter. "Make the transfer immediately, " she yelled aggressiv
CHAPTER TWELVEThe institute was silent as everyone gathered around to watch the suddenly affluent Vincent Hutchinson, who couldn't stop grinning at Barry's antics. They lowered their heads in humiliation and as if they were told to "fuck off." The person with the deepest regret among the group was Camilla. After they broke up, her ex-boyfriend just found himself in a wealthy position. "I'm such a wimp," she grumbled. Barry was gently dragged to his side by Vince after grabbing his shoulder. He then grinned menacingly. He was attempting to find a way to further humiliate and disgrace them by saying, "If you have up to 10 million dollars, Please step forward." The bystanders fixed their gaze on each other as they waited for someone to emerge, but none did. "What about $9 million!" He called, but nobody answered!"8 million dollars!" He tried calling again, but nobody was able to show up until he had reached $1 million. He laughed as he realized that those who were labeling him a
CHAPTER THIRTEENAubrey's face quickly became pale; she had completely forgotten about the bet she had earlier made with Vince, and she couldn't help but condemn herself inside. She considered ways to free herself from his control, but all that came to her was lying and being cunning. "A deal?" I don't remember agreeing to any contract with you," she lied while sneering. "You're just so foolish that I'll go to such lengths to make a deal with you, such a wuss!" she said with a chuckle and a wicked lip curl. "Lies were simply used to plan all of this. Therefore we didn't strike a deal!" She spat as she couldn't handle the truth. She was unwilling to subject herself to more humiliation. Vince furrowed his brows angrily, "Don't even try lying." He yelled fiercely, "We still have the cameras capturing everything that's happening right now." He paused and pointed to the individuals holding their phones firmly to record everything that was happening. "And don't forget, it's live! Every
