Mission Successful

Vince kept staring at her dwindling form as she walked into the restaurant, then he grinned.

[Do you like her?]

"Huh?"

[You continued to smile at every word she said]

Vince grinned.

"Is it not worthwhile? She exudes friendliness and charm.

The system made no attempt to reply. He sighed as he raised an eyebrow at his clothes.

"How will these poeple looks at me now.? A beggar?" He pondered.

After a while, Vince entered the restaurant and combed every corner and cranny in search of Emma, the Lady he had earlier met.

The restaurant wasn't busy, and there weren't more than three waiters on standby. They all stared at him with a pathetic look, even those who are eating stared at his dirty clothes

Vince felt embarrassed, then Vince noticed Emma sitting in a private space that was enclosed and constructed with glass, since everything there was different from the rest of the room.

He reasoned that it was a VIP room.

One of the waiters ran over to him and greeted him with "Good day sir, welcome to Ms. Biggs' Fast Food" before motioning for him to take a seat.

A lady it was.

He chose to disregard the waitress and move in the direction of the Lady instead of sitting down on the seat. However, before he could take any further steps, the waitress stopped him.

"You can't go there, sir!" The waitress spoke.

"Why!?" He knew why she had stopped him, yet he still made the choice to inquire.

The waitress smirked but also scowled. Before speaking, she gave him a thorough inspection.

"You are not deserving of entry."

Vince turned his head to stare at her with a displeased look. "Why am I unable? Not a restaurant, is it? Why am I unable to select a seat?" Even though he was aware that what he was doing was wrong, Emma had a role in his success, and he is prepared to use her as his bait.

He must reach her by any means necessary.

"A nobody can't go there," the waitress sneered, "that place is for the very important people (VIP)."

Vince gave the woman a deadly gaze. Those were derogatory comments in his eyes.

"I'm her friend, so I'm not a nobody." He said and pointed at Emma, who hasn't been oblivious to what was happening all along.

The waitress started laughing and making fun of him. "You? her friend? How is this even possible?"

The waitress's expression changed to one of seriousness, and she gave him a snarling glance.

"Your friend, you this sad thing. Do you recognize her?  She is Emma Watson, the grand-daughter of Manchester's most influential man"

"And so?" The waiters gasped, along with the onlookers who were waiting to see how Vince would be handled.

The waitress startledly blinked her eyes. She did not anticipate Vince saying this to her.

"You don't fit her to be her friend. She is the most important person in this restaurant."

Vince sighed loudly and wore a disappointed expression. He was unsure of how he will get Emma's attention and was incredibly squirming, but his confidence disguised it.

He had to seize this opportunity.

"I told you earlier that I'm her friend," he said aggressively. "I should be allowed to go there before things spiral out of control, please."

He had believed that when they heard him refer to her as his friend, they would give him access, but things just grew trickier.

"You idiot! You're making a commotion in here, and if you don't watch out, you'll get kicked out."

When Vince heard her irate statements, panic seized him. He considered how he would carry out this mission. How he would eat while resisting the impulse to pay.

Emma looked up from her dinner at this point, looked through the glass, and pondered the cause of the ruckus.

She turned to face the waitress and Vince as they were having a heated argument as she left the VIP room.

"What the heck is going on here?" Her shrill, yet adamant voice reverberated across the space. Everyone greeted her and bowed their heads, with Vincent being the sole exception. Her aura was strong.

The particular waitress with Vince raised her head and said, "This man walked in here and claimed to be your friend." Before continuing, she gave Vince a menacing glance as she said, "which I rebuked him already."

Emma asked the waitress after casting a quick glance at Vince, "Is that why you're insulting him?"

The waitress stumbled and was horrified. "He is nothing… and doesn't deserve to be called your friend!"

"What gall? He is my friend." All of the people's eyes widened, including Vince's. He wasn't anticipating her to refer to him as her friend.

"Apologize!" She bellowed,

She immediately knelt down and said, "I'm sorry, ma'am!"

"To him, I mean!" She said,

After turning, the waiter begged for forgiveness. "I'm sorry, sir. I dare not repeat that. Please" she spat while Vince merely grinned.

"You ought to have told me, then this embarrassment wouldn't have happened." Emma gestured to the VIP area as she walked to him.

When Vince entered, he noticed the assortment of foods spread out on the sofa table. "Wow! She must be incredibly affluent." He murmured to himself.

"Sit!" Emma indicated the chair next to hers. When Vince caught her eye, she smiled sweetly in his direction.

"You ought to have told me, you were also hungry," She demanded and sat down right away.

A waiter entered and bowed respectfully. "What would you prefer, sir?"

Vince cleared his throat and muttered, "Anything that worth $300," feeling embarrassed.

"I'm on it, sir!" The waiter finished his sentence and left.

"I don't eat much!" Emma smiled while nodding as Vince spoke.

The food was delivered to him in the blink of an eye. It was Fried Rice with Chicken served along with a bottle of water.

He had not even touched the cutlery, when the waiter's voice was heard. "Cash or transfer, sir, as a method of payment?"

Fear suddenly engulfed him, and it seemed as though time had frozen. He looked at Emma first before turning to the waiter and spoke. "She will pay the bills"

"Miss Emma?" the waiter asked after adjusting his sight to her.

"Sure," she said, glancing across at Vince as she took her debit card out of the purse and handed it to the waiter. "I'll pay his bill," she says.

Heavily exhaling, Vince realized his darkest dread had been vanquished. All thanks to Emma.

"Done, ma'am!" Emma received the card back from the waitress, who then turned around and left.

Vince's vision was obscured by a notification that appeared when the system beeped.
