CHAPTER THREE
"She is now mine! I no longer want to see you close to Camilla. You filthbag!" He extended his arm to punch once more, but the person holding him tightly stopped him.
It was Camilla.
"Don't!" She muttered as she scowled at Vince and fixed her gaze on him.
"Stop hitting him now. You will be render him dead by any blow given to him!" She spoke.
Hudson stared back at him and laughed. Vince was indeed breathing heavily, and he lacked the strength to receive his powerful blow. He may faint at any moment from now.
"Such a wuss!"
Laughing, Hudson let go of his neck's hold. "I believed he could compete with me and fight me. What insolence?" He smiled while putting his arm around Camilla's waist.
"Darling, let's get your face treated!" While hissing at Vince, she gave him a warm kiss on the lips.
"Sure, baby!"
Vince felt hurt and disappointed as he regarded their receding form. Tears struggled to escape his eyes and fell on his cheeks.
"You people will unquestionably pay for what you did to me. I'm sincere, nand by anyways I must get this money and fame." He muttered to himself while gritting his teeth.
As he took a decent stance on the ground, he winced in agony and misery. His lips were cut, and he wiped the blood off of them.
He took a deep breath and turned to face his destination. "I have to get the cash!"
[I am sorry]
He had a feminine voice, and he immediately recognized it as the system's.
"You don't have to," he said, nodding his head. "I'm accustomed to experiencing all kinds of rejection, disappointment, and humiliation."
[I never anticipated your condition to be this bad. I'm not going to lie; I'm a little bit hurt.]
He had a perplexed expression and was silent. "You do have emotions! If someone had told me that the System has feelings, I would never have believed them."
[I'm AI! I was made that way. You really need to believe it. I hate it whenever I see my Host in pain.]
"So you can interact with someone! I never considered that." As he set out tonl Ms. Biggs' Fast Food, he said.
[Well, if I'm given the go-ahead, I do talk with my Host. Despite this, I never speak to my other hosts.
"Wow! I'm not your first, then?" he questioned.
[Sure, before I met you, I worked with two great guys. But I subsequently came to resent them hosting me.]
The brows of Vince furrowed. The question "What do you mean?" As he progressed toward his destination, he questioned.
[Yes, they were good people who were impoverished just like you, but as soon as they became affluent, their personalities turned wicked.]
He felt bad and muttered. "I'm sorry!"
[What!? You don't have to since fame and wealth influence people to do bad things.]
[They forgot so quickly that they had been rescued from the slum. I became enraged, and immediately went into deactivation and left their body.]
"So, how were you able to deactivate yourself from your previous Host?" He inquired out of curiosity.
[I can't tell you that right now; that would be a talk for another day.]
"Hmm. You know I'm genuinely scared." He spoke.
[Why? You don't have to. That's just my rules. If you follow suit, I'll just exit your body and search for another Host.]
"I won't do that ever!" He spoke, rubbing his knuckles softly.
[I certainly hope so!]
[I should give you some time to consider how to do your task]
When the system beeped, it immediately turned off. She seems to be getting a little weary of the chat, so Vince decided it would be best to let her rest.
Vince noticed a rectangular billboard bearing the "Ms. Biggs' Fast Food" emblem. The distance to the location was no more than seven legspan.
Vince came to a sudden stop as he fixed his eyes on the restaurant's emblem. He sighed and exhibited a frazzled look.
[Are you scared?]
He nodded as the system voice arose. "This is a difficult mission, but I'm going to complete it,"
"If it's to run away from there after eating, I will do it."
"I don't give a damn about what occurs later. I just have my eyes on the money."
[I'm unable to laugh! Determination! I adore that, but please get yourself killed.]
The system immediately boozed and fell quiet.
"Let's finish this up for good," he said to himself.
Before he could go more than three feet, a vehicle slammed into the restaurant garage, splattering mud all over his clothing.
"What the heck!" While cursing, he looked at his already filthy clothing
In rage, Vince turned to face the woman who had already exited the automobile, but as his eyes landed on her, they were deceived, his mouth immediately widened.
He had never before witnessed such beauty. the pinnacle of beauty. He gave her a hungry, surprised gaze while gazing at her.
She was radiant in a strapless yellow gown that barely cover her knees. A beautiful woman with sumptuous curves and a worried expression.
"Are you alright?" She seemed troubled as she fixed her attention on the young man in front of her. "I'm so sorry," she said.
"You shouldn't be concerned. I realize you're pressed for time."
"I would have destroyed your windscreen if you hadn't come begging." He laughed.
She said, "Then I would have no choice but to sue you," and they both started laughing.
"What!?"
"You're gonna do that!"
"Sure!"
She waited for thirty seconds before speaking. "Once more, I'm sorry."
"It means nothing! I accepted the apology!" The woman then grinned.
A beautiful smile that might open any man's heart.
"The way you enter the park is risky. Take cautious, Miss!"
"Oops! I'll do that the next time, but my prior hunger drove me to do that." She stated.
Vince gave her a beaming look as he regarded her. "You ought to eat; I'm good." He smiled.
"But, are you all right?"
"Sure…But once we cross paths again, you will pay for this."
The woman gave Vince a suspicious look as she assessed him, then she glanced down at the clothes he was wearing before responding to him. With a smile on her lips, she replies, "Sure, whatever you want, I'll pay."
"Nice to meet you, Mr…"
He graciously grasped her outstretched hand while he called out, "Mr. Vince!"
"Oh, Mr Vince! I'm Emma by name."
"It was nice to meet you, Emma! You ought to leave for lunch."
She tucked the strands of hair behind her ear and replied, "Sure." She gave him a quick smile before heading into the eatery.
Vince kept staring at her dwindling form as she walked into the restaurant, then he grinned.
[Do you like her?]
Vince kept staring at her dwindling form as she walked into the restaurant, then he grinned. [Do you like her?]"Huh?" [You continued to smile at every word she said] Vince grinned. "Is it not worthwhile? She exudes friendliness and charm. The system made no attempt to reply. He sighed as he raised an eyebrow at his clothes."How will these poeple looks at me now.? A beggar?" He pondered. After a while, Vince entered the restaurant and combed every corner and cranny in search of Emma, the Lady he had earlier met. The restaurant wasn't busy, and there weren't more than three waiters on standby. They all stared at him with a pathetic look, even those who are eating stared at his dirty clothesVince felt embarrassed, then Vince noticed Emma sitting in a private space that was enclosed and constructed with glass, since everything there was different from the rest of the room. He reasoned that it was a VIP room. One of the waiters ran over to him and greeted him with "Good day sir
CHAPTER FIVEVince and Emma stood at Emma's car after finishing their meals at the restaurant. She said while grinning. "Why do you act like that?" He exclaimed, "What!" "Are you serious right now?" She laughed. Vince uttered after chuckling. A heartfelt "Thank you!" "I appreciate the lunch. You truly brightened my day! You have no idea how much this means to me. He was grateful.Emma wanted to laugh, but she smiled when she noticed how much the young man appreciated her kind gesture. A smile that can win the hearts of thousands of men. "If I were in your position, wouldn't you do that for me?" It was her.Vince gulped down uncomfortably; he wasn't sure he could have assisted Emma if he had been in her position. Then, while still exhaling, he murmured, "Who knows?" "I don't know if I would have done that, but I won't lie, people have different personalities, and characters," Vince said.He added with a sardonic smirk, "But when I reach to your position or rank then I would kno
CHAPTER SIXThen a call came in, interrupting his joyous and ecstatic mood. After giving the unknown number some thought, he chose to answer the call. "Good day Mr. Vince Hutchinson, Gilbert Olmo, Manager of HSC Bank, is speaking." He said, while Vince rolled his eyes into their sockets and displaying a menacing grin. He was fully aware of their call's purpose. "We are pleased to inform you that $1 billion has been transferred into your account," He said."We appreciate that you chose the HSC Bank as your top option. You are among the extremely essential persons we have here, so we…"Vince became irritated as he realized how monotonous his brief conversations were growing, then he cut him off. "Gilbert, why are you calling me?" His voice was uninterested as he inquired. "I'm sorry, Mr. Hutchinson, but we need you in our office."Curtly, he asked, "For what?" "It's a questioning all about your account, and mostly, the transaction" "Fine…I'll be in your office in a few minutes.
CHAPTER SEVENVince looked up to the lady who had been shouting and wallowing in rage all this time as he instantly knew the voice. "Aubrey!!" He called out her name and the lady was shocked to see the person in front of her. She was Vince's step-sister, Aubrey Hutchinson. "Vince!! You're still alive." Despite the shock on her face, she scowled. God alone knows how unhappy she was to see him again. As Vince rose to his feet, his brow wrinkled. "You want me dead," "Are you seriously blind? Don't you see me coming?" Rolling her eyes, Aubrey Hutchinson yelled at him in a furious manner. Vince became enraged because he was sick of people making fun of him or treating him like trash. "Did you not see me approaching too? Why the uncivil behavior when we are both at fault here?" At her face, he spat back. When it came to the people she had hated, which included him, Vince knew she had always been that fiery. There was no denying that she was gorgeous and beautiful, with her eyes bla
CHAOTER EIGHTThe group of people continued to glare scornfully at Vince and had no intention of ceasing their shady words any time soon. Vince, meantime, was just staring at Camilla and Aubrey while thoughts of heartbreak and hatred, respectively, were racing through his mind. He was eager to degrade them. Only if they had known that things had changed, given the amount of authority and power he currently possesses, would they not have humiliated him in this way. He watched them closely as he crossed one of his legs over the other. He was currently only filled with loathing, hatred, and a desire for retribution. If the timing were right, he would make them regret everything they did to him but not just yet.Aubrey clapped her hands repeatedly in the air as she turned to face the audience. "Breaking news, everyone, this dickhead over here lost his job this morning." She laughed mockingly.Another round of snide remarks and taunting from the people began. "He is nothing but a paup
CHAPTER NINE"And what if I tell you that I'm one of the millionaires?" When he inquired, the bank fell silent and frigid at the same time. Camilla burst out laughing at the end of the sentence. She took a step closer to him. "Please tell me you're joking because I recall you only having $300 in your bank account, which you show me on your phone." She laughed after that. "And so? Change can occur at any moment, second, minute, hour, or day." Camila raised one eyebrow and smiled lopsidedly. "Where would you see Millions of dollars?" she questioned, "or don't tell me you turned into a thief overnight?" "Hey, Vince! If you are into stealing, I won't think twice about putting you behind bars." She added, followed by a loud hiss."Really! I'm sorry, but I'm not like you." He said, causing Camilla to blush in complete indignation and fury. "How dare you, Vince?" With her face twisted with wrath, Camilla spat. "You believe you can accuse me of stealing in front of the public? You'll
CHAPTER TEN.Vince tried to identify the name of the banker who had treated him well by focusing on the ID on his neck. "Mr. Barry, could you get her bank information? We must ascertain her worth." The banker nodded his head in agreement as he spoke. "Sure, Mr. Vince!" He replied and turned to face Aubrey, who was grinning menacingly. "Ms. Aubrey! Can I?" Aubrey rolled her eyes at him as he inquired. "You have my bank details with you; show it on the screen so everyone can see how valuable I am." She spat. Barry input her details on the bank site, as he was keen pressing the keyboard fastly. Barry quickly turned the desktop to the people as they were all concentrating on the screen. The amount of money shown on the screen matched what Vince had been told by the system earlier. '$7, 000,000'"Look at the amount of money in her account, see how wealthy Ms. Aubrey is." Aubrey did nothing more than smile as the bystanders began to compliment her. Vince simply grinned to himself while
CHAPTER ELEVENThe account number was quickly entered into Martha's system. She was eager to discover anything that would support the audio account's assertion. She checked the history bar, but she was unable to locate any transactions. Her brows furrowed as she stared intently at the screen. She turned to look at Vince, who was sporting a menacing grin. She complained quietly to herself because she couldn't afford to lose her work right now. Martha had the option to decline the bet, but she was in the mood to humiliate the unfortunate man. "I simply cannot lose my job in this manner. There has to be a remedy for this disgrace. Who is to say whether he had the cash?" She fixed her attention on the large number "100,000,000," which never seemed to leave her sight. "No information is available on his account. These could all be fakes."After giving it some thought, she got up from her chair and strolled over to Barry's counter. "Make the transfer immediately, " she yelled aggressiv
