Declan had been intensely worried about Daniel's release from prison.

The years had gone by quite fast, and they had relaxed so much, instead of hustling to see him stay there forever.

As he sat in his office, tapping his pen wildly on his desk, he could not help but feel inadequate, like he was not prepared for whatever Daniel had up his sleeves this time. The man was unpredictable, and he was a bit scared.

Micheal came in just then to inform him of his next meeting. It was going to be a virtual meeting, and he wanted to make sure that Declan was fully prepared for it.

"Are you okay?" Micheal asked him, as he had noticed the sour expression Declan had carried from the conference meeting that morning.

Declan was quiet for a while before he turned to Micheal.

"You know," he began. "Sometimes, I just wish that Daniel was dead," he said. Micheal looked at him with a surprised expression. Declan was not usually the vile one.
