Declan panicked, and Samantha saw how worried he was after the phone call.
"Are you okay?" She asked him, trying so hard to avoid hitting a nerve. "I'm fine.
I just need to travel back to the city immediately", he replied, trying to dial again. "Don't give me that Declan. You are worried about something or someone", Samantha pressed.
Declan let out a sigh and looked up at her. "It's Hannah. I think she is in trouble", he began. "She called and I answered, but all I could hear were muffled like she could not talk or something".
Samantha looked fixedly at him. She knew it was Hannah. She did not know if to be worried or jealous. She decided to suppress the latter. Now was not the time.
