Declan arrived at the venue about thirty minutes late. After those couple of wine glasses and the stress from the flight, he decided he needed a long sleep, and that was what he got himself.

He had been a bit confused about what to wear to the party, and he had wanted to call Samantha for help, but he did not want to disturb her.

He was trying so hard not to go a step further asides from their work relationship at the office. He did not want her to get ideas.

He knew that he had not fully gotten over Hannah either. He was hurt but he knew he once loved her.

The lights in the restaurant were dim and he searched around for his colleagues. He had successfully sneaked out of the house and he would not be very excited if he was the first person to arrive. Samantha had sent him the address earlier, and he hoped he was in the right place.

He soon sighted Bobby, their tech expert. He had a short and a t-shirt on. Declan was glad about the jeans and denim shirt that he had finally opted for.
