Ferdinand smiled as Declan appeared at the entrance of the dining area. Dinner was served and he had intentions of eating alone as his son was not home yet. Seeing Declan gladdened him.
However, he noticed the sour countenance that carried. Declan was pissed about something and he could not place his hands on it. It was probably something that had to do with his relationship with Samantha.
"Come have dinner with me", Ferdinand began, pointing to the seat before him. Declan advanced towards the table and slammed the hospital report on it.
"When were you going to tell me about this, dad?" He asked, almost growling, anger surging through him.
Ferdinand was quiet. He could not find words to explain what was happen
If the devil was in a human form, it had to be Daniel. That was all that was in Declan's mind as he headed for the Fintech company to see his so-called brother. It was his first time visiting the company. Deep down, he had nursed intentions of visiting the company, just to satisfy his curiosity about what Daniel could come up with. The sliding doors were the first sign of class that he sensed at the Fintech. The huge sign that hung perfectly after the entrance signified that a huge fortune had been spent on it. The reception was breathtaking. The young lady that sat at the reception was all smiles when he came up to her. He could not help but smile back at her.He quickly told her that he was looki
Hannah was still crying in pain as he got to the hospital. He called out for help and soon, a team of medical staff in their baggy scrubs rushed out to help me.They lifted her with so much ease and straightened her on a bed. It was the hospital she worked in and he recognized a few faces there. When she fell pregnant, she stopped working and depended solely on him and Raymond to provide for her.He recognized the nurse at the counter. She rushed to him. "What happened?" She asked him frantically."I don't know", Declan answered, visibly worried. He started pacing about. He did not want anything to happen to either Hannah or the baby.Raymond came int
"I hope you don't live in a crappy apartment because it would not be good for the baby and I" Hannah rambled as they boarded their flight.Declan was more cautious. He had gone through a lot to successfully take Hannah away from the hospital with Raymond's notice. He was a madman. Declan had noticed the unusual glare in the man's eyes, and he could have sworn that he knew something was amiss."You will be comfortable, I assure you that", he replied to her as the pilot took her hand to help with the flight. For extra privacy, he had decided that they would fly private. He had contacted the company's pilot and he was at the airport in a twinkling of an eye. Samantha was indeed breathtaking. Hannah could not help but agree with her. Everyone seemed to like her.Even the staff members were all warm towards her. She had won their hearts. Stepping into the room alone changed the aura of the whole place.Hannah wondered how a single Huma, especially a woman, could do that. She was indeed a superwoman. Her dark skin shone against the lights from the chandelier giving it a bronze-like glow. Her squinty eyes were beautiful for her well-shaped face.Declan moved to her immediately and planted a kiss on her cheek, encircling his hands around her waist and bending slightly to match her height.SheVindication of the Rejected Heir Chapter 47
Declan paced about the study and Samantha was almost getting dizzy watching him move from one corner of the room to the other."You are going to drill a hole in the floor if you don't stop pacing endlessly", she said to him."Something is not right Sammy, I can smell it. Daniel is up to something", he said ignoring her complaints."What do you think?" She asked. "Declan and Raymond are prestigious businessmen running Fintech companies", she continued. "To me, it is only normal that they do business together and sign contract deals", she added."I'm not talking about that", he began. "The whole association and friendship with Daniel and then Raymond being with Hannah all of a sudden seems fishy to me", he paused and looked at her.
Declan had never panicked this number of times in a short while before. He had had many reasons to be overly panicked these few days, and it was beginning to affect him.To make matters worse, the doctors would not say anything to either him or Samantha. He was going crazy with fright. This could not be the end of the road for his father whom he had just started life after so many years of disappearance. It bothered him that his father was terminally ill and now, he was worried that the condition had turned critical.Samantha tried to calm him down but he would not budge."What exactly did they say happened?" He asked her instead."He collapsed on the golf co
Declan leaned back in shock. Over the past few months, there had been a lot of shocking revelations in his life that were more than enough to handle."Where is she?" Declan asked, still gathering words to suppress his shock."You know her, Declan. You have worked with her", Ferdinand replied. He thought of women that he had worked with. No one struck him as someone that would be his mother."It is Abigail", Ferdinand finally blurted out amidst heavy breaths. The news hit Declan like a ton of bricks. He could not believe his ears. The woman had cared for him in the past and loved him like her own son, but he never had any idea that she could ever be his mother.
This was the closest to a piece of satisfying news he was hearing, and he was excited. "How did you do it?" Declan asked, his palms sweating in excitement.Samantha thought it was weird behavior and she told him about it. His hands were too sweaty."He gave us a clear opportunity and we took it", Abigail responded over the line. "I will be there first thing in the morning", Declan said."There is no need for that. Just focus on your work", she said."I want to look that bastard in the face and ask him what Hannah ever did to deserve such unfair treatment from him", he insisted."I would be expecting you then", she said, finally giving in even if she had known initi
