Declan's thoughts rummaged through his mind. He thought of a hundred and one reasons why he should not go see Micheal, but the most important reason why he should go see him seemed to outweigh those reasons.
Samantha had assured him of a new game plan and was already putting a financial team in place to foot that plan.
She had been working round the clock with the new team to ensure that the plan was fully effective.
He marveled at how much work she had been doing to ensure that the company was secured. But he remembered, she was just like Abigail, making a promise to give back what has been done for them.
He always thought that the 'what goes around comes around' proverb was just an ordinary
The ride to the highly secured safehouse was long and Abigail had looked out the window most of the time.Declan was focused on work on his laptop. He was in a zoom meeting with some members of the staff, and their new clients.Samantha was present and she scribbled at intervals. He saw the full concentration she gave in the meeting, her forehead was narrowed, and her thin glass frame suited her face.He wondered how she was so perfect. He kept stealing glances at her, and on one or two occasions, he had forgotten that it was his turn to speak. He was lost in her. He would call her later and tell her about how captivating she looked during the meeting, and how he could not take his eyes off her.
Declan stayed over at the safe house for the next two days. He struggled to figure out who was on the other side of the line. Hannah was in danger, and he knew it.They had agreed that she would return to work. At this point, it did not seem like the best idea. The person that was after her life was out there, and he would not put her life at such risk. The flight back to the island was long, as he had used a chopper. Abigail had stayed back to continue her work and manage her company. She wanted her children to go home with him, but her so-called husband would not allow it to happen. He stated that he did not want his children to be far from where he was.Hannah was the first person he met when he stepp
Ferdinand saw the first sign of wrong timing in Abigail's eyes when she opened the door for him.He knew she was not too pleased to see him at the moment, but he had already come all the way.She had flashed him a fake smile as she let him in"You did not tell me that you were coming," she began as she nervously looked over her shoulders."Is there anybody in there?" He asked her quietly."Does he or she want to hurt you?" He asked again immediately."No, not at all," she said, taking his bag from him and leading him into the house. She offered him a seat and went to get him a drink. The door t
"You should be more careful next time," Daniel barked at him. He was still taken aback by shock, and could not make out what Daniel had just said. When their eyes locked for the second time, Daniel's eyes flickered with recognition, which he quickly brushed off."I am deeply sorry," Ferdinand said, as he helped him with his bag and turned to leave immediately.Daniel did not recognize him, and it was better that way. But Abigail was with him, and if he saw Abigail, then he would not be safe either. As he moved back to the table where he had sat with Abigail, he glanced back at Daniel. He was wearing a hoodie, that had him all covered up.It was probab
Samantha glanced at her wristwatch impatiently as she sat in the living room with the wedding planner. They had finally decided that it was high time they were immersed in their work. The past few weeks had been hectic for them both and they had barely had time to see each other.Samantha wanted to plan the entire wedding herself. She did not want anything elaborate at all but had always looked on the side of extravagance. Declan was in full support. He only wanted her to be happy.Samantha apologized to the petite lady that was the wedding planner as she glanced impatiently at her wristwatch again. She had told him of this meeting earlier in the day, and it was already thirty minutes past the agre
Ferdinand watched Daniel as he made his way to the counter. He took down his hoodie and looked around with wary eyes before he ordered his food.He soon headed to a table at the far end of the restaurant and sat with his back to everyone else. Ferdinand's eyes did not leave him as he ate silently and tapped away on a phone. In a swift movement, Daniel turned and their gaze met for a few seconds. Ferdinand looked away very quickly, and Daniel turned around again. When he was done eating, he stood up immediately and headed for the door. Ferdinand took the last sip of his drink and headed out immediately, following after him quietly. After some long minutes of walking, Daniel dashed into a club. Ferdi
Declan was sad to see Hannah go. She had been with them since the twins were born, and she had decided that it was important that she moved on with her life, and went back to work.He had looked at her in admiration as she had bathed and dressed up the children before she began to pack up the rest of her things that she could not pack the night before. He saw how much the children laughed as she tossed them in the air one by one. Even though they were still babies, he knew that they would miss her when she was gone. Somehow, she had managed to create a bond with them over the ten months that they were out of the hospitalSamantha had come in from the office to see Hannah, who had requested her."I hate to see you leave," Samantha had begun and wrapped her in a warm embrace."Life has to go on," Hannah replied to her. "And in case you are wondering, this is not easy for me either,", she added. *I'll miss those bundles of joy, and I know that I will think about them every day in the c
Abigail quickly disentangled herself from Frank's grip as she saw Ferdinand standing by the doorway. The hurt in his eyes was almost too painful to bear. He could not believe that Abigail would want to hurt him that way. For the first two minutes, he stood transfixed while Frank picked up his jacket and walked out of the room with a wild mock grin on his face. After he left, a devastated Ferdinand began to head out too. He made up his mind not to speak to him so he would not exude too much anger on her."It's not what you think," Abigail began. He looked at her in disbelief and continued to head out.She held onto him, not willing to give up easily. He stopped but did not turn around to look at her."I know what I just saw," he said to her. His heart was pounding fast, and he feared that his health would fail him. He needed to get away from her as soon as possible."He came unto me, and I promise you that I never kissed him back", she explained, counting her words like a little chi
