The cries of the babies were the first thing Declan heard as he stepped into the house, and it irritated him.
The second thing that irritated him was the new portraits that Samantha had put up. He was still getting accustomed to the new touch Samantha had put on the house, not because he did not like her idea, but because he had not been enjoying his new married life in the changes she had brought about.
He headed to his bedroom, but he did not find her there. He wanted to head out but decided to check the balcony with the pool, and there she was, immersed in the pool in lingerie that she knew was his favorite.
That would have turned him on on a normal day, but she had refused him touching her in the past weeks, and it did nothing but irritate him more.
Samson made up his mind. He was going to join them and go get Hannah. He would do anything to see her face again, but when Declan came, he told him that there had been a slight change of plans."We are not working with the police on this one, just the chief," he began."We are not armed men, nor are we trained for this", Samson cried out."Who said we were going ourselves?" Declan asked with a sly smile.Samson knew at this point that Declan had a plan, and it was a good one at that. When they got downstairs, there was a huge vehicle parked there. Samson got in, and his eyes widened in surprise. Men in black suits and shades were in the vehicle.

The flight back home was silent, but Declan never took his eyes off Hannah. He was overly cautious of her well-being. The past few weeks had been hectic for him. Samson had to go back to work and he was left alone to cater to Hannah. He had urged Samantha to help out since she did not go to work, but she blatantly refused and walked away. He had been saddled with the entire responsibility, but all that was on his mind more than anything was for her to get better. Samson called every day to ensure that she was doing okay. He had been equally worried about her, and when he made sure that everything was going fine, he would be relaxed. The day Hannah spoke to him, he was overly excited. One could tell from how he gloated over the phone. He had promised to come visit as soon as he found the time. Declan could not deny that he had his battles too. His eyes were on Hannah, but his mind was elsewhere. Samantha had finally come home after so much plea. He was getting tired of it all, as
Ferdinand was not going to the restaurant with as much enthusiasm as he would have before. He had not yet been able to get over what Abigail had done to him, and anger still surged through him. He still loved her, but he knew he would not condone what she had done. She had called him countless times over the past week, but he had refused to answer her. She finally stuck to a voicemail and pleaded with him that they should meet. He had ignored it twice, but at last, he sent her a message that said he would give her an audience. As he went his way, he thought about Declan. They had not been best friends lately because of something that still seemed like an enigma to him. He had barely found the time to talk things over with him, as he had been in the city with Daniel, who seemed harmless, probably because he had not disclosed his identity yet. He knew he was treading on eggshells, but he decided that the risk would be worth it at the end of the day. He was still his son.As he ente
Declan sat in his office with the blinds down and the curtains dimmed. He wanted to take some more time in the office so he would not go home to Samantha. A few ladies have agreed to be surrogates for them, and she wanted them to make a decision together on who was perfect for the task. He dreaded it.Over the past few weeks, they had managed to sort out their differences and live their normal lives as a couple. He had suggested the vacation to her, but she wanted to make sure that there was a baby on the way. She had even let him touch her on a cool night. He had come home from the office very late, and he only intended to have a cold bath and lay down to rest, but there she was, looking her attractive best, something he could not resist. He could remember how his tiredness had disappeared instantly and was replaced by a sudden excitement as he got to work. She had refused to get pregnant, though. When they went to see the doctor about it, they were told that it would be quite di
Ferdinand did not know what to expect as he made haste to meet Declan in the office. He had just come from the city and was elated that Abigail had agreed to marry him. He had been skeptical about making that decision, not sure of how she would take the news, but he had decided to take the bull by the horns regardless, and it had turned out well. She had let out a little cry before she gave in, but he liked how reserved she was, and how she was not with him because he could make her life easier, but because she loved him.Andrew was already at the airport when he arrived to pick him up. He was bubbly with excitement and had let the cat out of the bag immediately. "I am very happy for you, sir," Andrew stated professionally. Ferdinand had never seen him lose his cool to flare up or jump in excitement, but he did not mind.Declan was on a phone call when he stepped into the office. He could not remember the last time he had been inside it. He had not been present or briefed on the re
Samantha saw it in his expression when he entered the bedroom. She was getting ready for a shower, as she had come back early from the office. She had not bothered to wait for him, as she had seen Ferdinand go into his office. She knew that they would spend a lot of time there. She smiled at him as he got inside, but he did not smile back. She knew something was amiss. She moved to him and wrapped her hands around his neck with just a towel tied around her body. "I saw your dad enter your office," she began. "How did it go with him?" She asked. He looked at her briefly before he removed her hands and began to undress. He slumped on the bed afterward. She knew he was not happy about something."What is wrong Declan?" She asked him. He looked down at her before he replied."I don't think that I would be working in my father's firm again", he replied almost immediately. The news came as a shock to her, and she hoped that he was not hellbent on the decision."What do you mean?" She a
Samson rushed to the airport with so much excitement as soon as he concluded his meeting. He had been counting down the days that were left before he could finally see Hannah. He had missed her. Other times, he had worried about her health and how she was recovering from her surgery. They did a lot of bonding over the phone, even with her children. She had mentioned that she wanted them to be homeschooled in the beginning. She had decided to host a dinner for close friends and family and he could not miss out on it. When his flight finally landed, he boarded a taxi to where she stayed. The house was quiet from the outside, and it left him wondering if she was inside. As he stepped into the gate, a loud blaring from an alarm startled him and he quickly rushed back. Some men in suits that were crisply ironed rushed out to see who it was. They moved close to him and searched him thoroughly before he was allowed to enter. At the door, there was a scanning device for his face, and after
